What a cool place, totally worth checking out as an alternative to the common things you do in the loop near Buckingham Fountain (which you can see from their window). They sell hand made glass paperweights but really they’re like hand made glass works of art, both modern and vintage, made in the USA and imported from Europe. They’d make great gifts too. The man working there was super nice and explained how the paperweights are made, interesting!

I happened to discover this hidden gem by chance while visiting Chicago and would highly recommend visiting LH Selman in the Fine Arts Building to anyone who likes off the beaten path cultural discoveries. Learning about glass paperweights production and history was fascinating!

This level of quality, design and craftsmanship is hard to find in this day and age especially since paper paper weight glass is a hard thing to find now. I cant even remember how I found The Glass Gallery and LH Selman because such a beautiful things shouldnt be a memory. Im going to keep collecting paper weights from here to admire their lifes work.
