Terrible online buying experience from this auction house. Wrong condition report and refused to do partial refund. Even a penny. The owner is very rude. Sent emails. Never reply.. .will never buy from him again 欺瞞品相，拒絕退款，售後服務非常差

While there is indeed a wide variety of items to bid on every time, and some are of really good quality, this is very, very disorganized operation and extremely understaffed. The auctioneers are boring, there is no excitement and fun and they often miss the bids and then blame you.The real problem, however is how extremely slow and disorganized they are. After you purchased your items, the likelihood of you waiting to pay for them for 30 minutes is not sporadic, but norm. They only have one register. Then, after you successfully paid, you have to hunt for one out of two people who are able to actually give you the items you bought. The check out process is unnecessarily way too long and frustrating.I would dare to guess that they can afford to hire a few more people on the day of the auction to handle the payment process as well as pick up. Its not fun when you go to auction and you have to prepare yourself with inevitable frustrations every single time.I would say, go check it out, there are treasures to be had, but prepare yourself for the snags I just described. You will be high on adrenaline for the items that you won in auction, then youll come crashing down with frustrations over unnecessary, easily avoidable difficulties when checking out.

Great auction house! We have both bought and sold at Direct and have been happy with both experiences. You never know what is going to happen at an auction, sometimes you win and sometimes you lose, its what makes the auction exciting. This is a fast paced auction with a huge amount of lots to sell in one night with a room full of people. Pay attention it is easy to miss lots. Dont wait to jump into the bidding they have hundreds of lots a night to sell and wont wait for you to bid. Make sure you get noticed in the crowd when you bid. There is a bunch of people in a large room and its your job to get the auctioneers attention.

I went once. Great! I was in from out of town, visiting in laws and this made the 14 hours drive in from the East Coast worth it! It is a great plain Jane normal auction with a nice blend of old and a little bit of new stuff. The people who work there were great and very friendly! It makes the annual trek something i can look forward to. In laws are nice and all but a room full of strangers, odd objects, in an old Packard car garage with a gavel pounding down sales, now that is fun! Looking forward to this year.

Real hodgepodge of furnishings. Youll need to dig deep to find the treasures. But deals can be had. The Father and Son team who runs the place that are helpful

I am moving out of state and had a lot of late 1880s large furnitureand stain glass, marble clocks, and other misc items. before i consigned with direct i sent other antique dealers photos of my items.all of them said that the items will never sell as peoples intererests havechanged since i bought my items around 1982. then i called direct.they had me send my photos to one of their appraisers. he told me whichitems would probably sell at which ones would not. i did send all my items to direct and they all sold at what i thought was very good prices.i highly recommend them for selling your items. they know from experience what will probably sell and what wont. dont expect superunbelievealble prices. i did get very fair current market prices for my items.

Make sure to check over the item you want.Suggestion take pictures of items and have them shown on a few flat screen. This way everyone knows what they are bidding on. This will save time and the sale should end 1 to 2 hours sooner.

I wont use them as a seller again. The integrity of one of my lots was compromised. Direct Auctions did not have a solution for the future. I will not be back .

Strange for a first timer but you never know what you will find

Buyer BEWARE-I know some of the workers at Direct and have some inside information that led to my decision not to go to this auction any longer. First, false up-bidding by the auctioneer is very common here. If you leave a prebid, even if there are no other bids, youll win the item at your prebid price! The auctioneer will start off the bidding there, when they should be allowing the audience to start of the low bid. If you keep your hand up while bidding, the older auctioneer especially, will continue to add bids to your card even if no other bidder is bidding! Ive heard of this from one of the workers and saw it happen when I was there! Also, they have their own folks upbidding in the audience at times. Dishonest auctioneering!
