This is a great place to check out and appreciate original art. I highly recommend going to the open house which happens a few times a year. Take your time. Theres so much to see and the artists were accessible and so willing to talk about their art.
Something of a funky art factory. Wonderful selection of art and studios. Regular open houses throughout the year. Possible to develop your own studio there. Limited parking on site.
Only some of the studios were open. Theres an open studio at this building in October that I think gets more artists to open up. Those who were open were good! Its an old studio building (25+years) with lots of quirks, nooks, steep stairs, odd levels.
Excellent true artists studio with several artists in residence
Old factory building with 40+ artists studios, many with national profile, open to public 4 times a year. Great place to see wide variety of art: painting, printmaking, sculpture, jewelry, ceramics. Check their website for dates of open studio events.
Love going to the art openings.. Always new and fresh attests to look and buy from
Rough hewn space chock full of beautiful works of dedicated artists each with their own studio. Two floors. Parking limited.
Parking is difficult (shortage, and permit only) but Ravenswood and Cornelia are the best bet.
Im so happy to be able to paint here its a wonderful place to be creative! Yes its like an office, studio and gallery for my work. Most of all like a second home.
Full of talented creators.
Interesting space. I did a life drawing class here once. Im grateful for art studios like this in Chicago.
This space is large. It fools you on the outside but the inside is actually very artistic. Great for rehearsal space for small plays and sketch and improv teams. The location is great too because of how close it is to the train and bus station. The space may be dated but the opportunities are endless.
Artists gallery and studios open house occasionally
