This is a nice park! at least for disc golf, its probably the best disc golf course in Mecklenburg county. Out of 40 something courses around the city, this is definitely the one to try.Ive never been on the playground but theres always a kids on it having a great time.
Classic Charlotte disc golf. Really popular course and sometimes that means a lot of people end up playing through. Which is fine and I usually find myself getting drawn to a less popular or busy course like Nevin.
I only go here for the disc golf. The course is a decent course suitable for anyone just beyond noob. The Skillbourne layout is for advanced level players.
I love this park! One of the best disc golf courses in charlotte. A variety of scenery and different shots to practice. Both long and short holes present their own unique challenges. My only drawback with this course is that its almost ALWAYS busy. If you dont get out there by 730-8am on any given day then inevitably you will be waiting. Some days its not as bad so the wait is minimal. I play for cardio so these slow downs defeat the purpose for me. But when I just go to play and have fun Im heading to Kilbourne. They also have a cricket field setup with tennis, basketball, soccer field (also used as cricket field,) and playground with walking trails through the scenery of the park.
Its fun for walks if you live nearby however it doesnt have as much as other parks in terms of entertainment
Okay park. Its in a rough area and isnt maintained very well. Good park if u wanna play Frisbee . But if youre coming here to enjoy the scenery, this isnt that kind of park.
Had a great time with the disc golf course. Well maintained and easy to get around.
Nice disc golf course. Wooded, but with some wide fair ways allowing a lot of options. Can be crowded, but as you get further along the course holes get harder and groups become spaced naturally.
Great local park, love going for my peaceful time
It was more crowded than I expected but not too bad. A game of soccer was being played, kiddos on the playground and lots of people on the trail.
Well maintained disc golf course with fun and challenging holes. Only complaint is that if you havent played this course before, better signage between some holes is necessary.
Park is small no swings bathrooms look like horse stalls and watch out for falling acorns
Great for disc golf. Not hilly, easy to walk and play a few times. Good holes.
The park has a disc golf course, baseball field, a multi-purpose field (usually setup for cricket), walking trails, tennis courts, restrooms, a small playground, and a few shelters. Parking is adequate for the size of the park.I was there for the disc golf. Kilborne is one of Charlottes oldest and more mature courses. Many trees have fallen over the decades this course has been here but the local club has kept it in great shape throughout the years. This track gets steady traffic - probably due to its central location. Weekends can be busy, quite a few local tournaments come through here as well.Kilborne is always a fun round. Itll challenge beginners through veterans of the game. There are at least two tees for most holes and many have multiple baskets. Allows for many variations in layout.
This is one of my favorite courses in the Charlotte area! There is a great diversity of holes including some that are fairly short, some that are very long, dogleg left and rights, etc. The course is fairly challenging, so I would not recommend it for beginners, but it is also not one of the hardest courses. I enjoy that the holes are very intentionally designed without random trees spotting the fairways.
First disc golf course I played, back in 1998. Great course!
Kinda dirty and weak playground. Disc golf course is pretty awesome.
Amazing disc golf course
Its never a crowded place. If you are looking for a quiet place this is it. Sometimes people play sports like soccer over there. But overall its peaceful.I personally like it cause I get to walk around and take in the serenity and sometimes I play soccer as I am african and we love the game!!!
Disc golf... enough said. Home of the game in the Charlotte area. A true classic.
Spectacular disc golf course. The back 9 destroyed my round though.
In the heart of the east side of the mecca of disc golf lies one of the best 90 min courses in Charlotte NC. Its not too hard but will punish you if you dont respect it. Its not long but can play that way. If you are good all you need is a mid range buzz if you are going for chains bring your game. Ive played this course for over a decade and its done nothing but get better.... Though I do miss the original hole two. Those were the days. Ends where it starts, great for multiple games in a day.
My favorite disc golf course in Charlotte!
Enough space for everyone in the family to enjoy their time in nature. Playground for the little ones, baseball field, and soccer field. Dont waste your time at the tennis court (looks abandoned, not the mention most of my neighbors dont use it in the first place).
This place is a really fun tract. It circles a park with Baseball, soccer, tennis, and cricket fields. Mostly wooded with a few open shots. Always a lot of good stuff happening in this park, but, make sure you lock your car. You never know.
Disc golf, great course for beginner and intermediate players. Small but useful and nice park, with swings for kids and a small softball field. One of my favorite disc golf courses as Im still learning the sport.
Best disc golf course In town.
Great disc golf course
Great place to take youre kids to let them run around and play
Lots of paths, room to roam, play and enjoy being outdoors. Security Rangers present. Be cautious of picnic tables...they need some love.
Nice, laid back, family friendly atmosphere where people from my community gather near the end of a long day on a daily basis. Many weekends, you can find large groups of soccer players of various nationalities immensely involved in a favorite pasttime. My only issue? The water fountain near the bathrooms and the playground/jungle gym does NOT work at all!Come prepared with your own cooler full of your familys favorite drinks or BYOB of water.
Awesome disc golf course.
Love to play here, good mix of open and wooded shots. Good for intermediate players. Very popular and generally busy.
So the park isnt that big and the trail desgination isnt signaled very well. Although they do have a tennis court, baseball field and a large field for soccer etc.In the back of this park is a dense forest and in this forest there is frisbee golf? It was set up as a golf-like course with numerous holes and if you wanted to walk through it as a trail (which is what I did) thats fine too though although just make sure that you have proper footing (which I didnt). All and all I enjoyed this park for everything except walking but that was moreso that I didnt have my running shoes. Also I believe the water fountains dont work either.
This is my favorite park!
The League that apparently runs the course said we couldnt play here ever in a Saturday, because they dont know how to leave open holes for walk ups
Beautiful park. A couple people did not have their dogs on a leash. Other than that it seems to be a great park.
Fun for the kids!
It is a great little no frills no thrills just a nice park
Nice for dis golf
Such a vast park with tons of forestry paths. The disc golf course is hard but so much fun! Enclosed in forestry and great to play on.
Great frisbee golf course. 18 holes of long fairways with and without trees. Set in the cool shade of large oak trees makes this comfortable even on sunny days.
Great disc golf course and pet friendly
Very nice and clean park. Easy to get to, lots of parking. Tons of space and different areas for activities. There is a killer disc golf course here.
Great park, has a great disc golf course!
Nice place to enjoy with family
Nice neighborhood park
A great disc golf course. Always a pleasure to play a round there.
Nice place
Great space for playing sports, and picnics. The playground is large and is fun for small and bigger kids. My favorite features of this park are its scenic nature trails . So much to do and see here. A great place to spend the day!
Enjoyed watching a cricket match here. This a nice park for a picnic.
Very nice disc golf course!
Great disc golf course and I used to love the playground as a child.
Nice clean disc golf course
Its a great place to just go and have lunch in the afternoon or relax in the sun shine on the grass. Picnic tables and grills are available and they also have restrooms. Soccer field is available also and a baseball diamond. Love to see people using the outdoor space for what its supposed to be for. Also has a frisbee golf discs court and walking trails.
Not bad. Nice disc golf but not much else
A very beautiful & quiet peaceful place. We had a birthday memorial for our mother an released balloons in her memory.
One of my favorite disc golf course in charlotte.
Loved it this
Fun place to play soccer
Great disc golf course
Peaceful, quiet, very clean & just a great place to bring the kids
A good place to have lunch and meet people
Love the disc golf course, they really cleaned it up recently so it is a pleasure to play.
This is park is ok. The Frisbee golf course is pretty good. On a nice day it is very busy. There is a nice playground, but no swings. Theres a weird bathroom that doesnt have any doors to block the view of the to
Cool, calm, and lay back
Great Disc golf course.
If u know the right spot u will love this park
One of the best disc golf courses in the city.
One of my favorite parks great disc golf course
Good scenery
Easy to find and they have a fun mid-level disc golf course - 18 holes.
Discgolf park is great.
Beautiful discgolf course. Nice area for cricket
Well maintained park. Field is usually occupied by cricket at any time outside of usual office worker hours. Disc golf course is well maintained for the regular tees but hard tees and baskets arent used or cleaned up.
I mainly use for weekend disc golf and sometimes watch the cricket matches being played. Lots of pathways for walking or running. Public facilities.
Great disc golf park with long and short tees and baskets! Well maintained and ample parking. Was just a bit cold today!
Decently clean park with many trails to explore
It has become my sons favorite park... There be alot of people there.
Creepy but cute
I just sent to Kilborne cricket ground. The ground is good but there should be some seating arrangement.
Nice place to go and picnic.
Great disc golf course.
Great disc golf course with two sets of pads. Open field where cricket is played. Softball field, playground and shelter. Overall good park just in a bad part of town. Only slightly better than Sugaw Creek.
Pretty nice for a quick walk around
Nice
Disc golf is my main reason to come here. The course is nice, and usually well maintained. Other park features included a cricket field, kids playground, baseball field, and restrooms. Disc golf can be frustrating when unaware locals walk backwards down fairways for a stroll in the park that can make playing a round tedious, but thats the price of playing in a public park.
Excellent disc golf course
Was ok when I can find things on sale
For city, Nice trails, nice green field
Great disk golf course
