Ive lived around here my whole life and didnt realize how beautiful this area was. I really like the fact that they have more benches but case the water then the Mallard Creek Greenway. For some reason on Mallard Creek Greenway, the benches face the path and not the water and there are very few of them. This area is so beautiful!

Beautiful long trail along the Clarks Creek, mostly in the shade for either walking or biking. There are plenty of trails in the woods as well. Well worth a trip.

Getting ready for Myrtle Beach half marathon This was a long run, on a beautiful Sunday, 11.64 miles. The transition to different greenways Is seamless... Nice and smooth.... does not interrupt your cadence

Convenient location. Ample signage. Signs for safety and map of the trail. Very good terrain for walking. Ups and downs will give your heart rate a challenge. The creek that runs through the park is very soothing and clean. For dog walkers there are poop bags to keep the trail clean. The park runs behind a few homes with no fence or barrier. Good walk or bike ride!

Very beautiful and lots of good shade. One of my favorite greenways in the charlotte area.

Im from out of town and really liked this trail. Unfortunately I didnt see the trail map until I was done. Its really nice, paved and scenic. The sound of the creek is very relaxing. Seems to be kid friendly too. Id love to explore it more someday that I have more time.

Beautiful greenway with miles of paved trails. The trees are gorgeous. It backs up to some neighborhoods and follows a stream. Great place to walk, run, ride a bike, etc.

Absolutely beautiful place to take the kids to play, then a beautiful walk along the mostly paved trail which is wonderful all year round.

This is truly wonderful system of well-maintained, paved, mostly shaded trails with neighborhood access points. The paths are wide enough for walk-n-talks with a friend, too!

Its such a wonderful place to walk, jog, or bike. The pathways are spacious for sharing, and there is seating along the trial for resting or enjoying the soothing sounds of stream. Its a great place to enjoy nature at your own pace.

Very nice place to walk, run, or ride! Tree lined, fragrant shrubs and flowers, and mostly covered from the sun paths are a joy to experience while getting your exercise in...

The Greenway was awesome. Our family was able to easily ride our bikes and roller skate the trail.

Absolutely loved the trail. It was like walking in the forest with a paved road. Never imagined that you can have such a great hiking place right in between the city. There were houses all along the way and thats the beauty of it. Great place for jogging and relaxing away from hustle and bustle of the city life.

Nice greenway that will make you forget youre still in town.

Good greenway to walk / run or bike. Some sections might be lonely - would suggest to take the stroll during the sky is lit.

Lots of places to access the creek, nice to just hang out in nature.

Its wonderful to see serious athletes, those trying to get in shape (though round is a shape) like myself and families with children enjoying the Green Ways. A positive experience and vibes.

The beauty of the trail is something you usually only see in movies. It is always kept clean, and Ive never ran into any problems while on the trail. Its great for families, couples, runners, bikers, skateboarders, walking, etc. There is plenty of tree coverage for hot days, so dont let the heat keep you away!

Why I love Charlotte

This is right across from a elementary school and i remember in 4th grade the class went across the road to play in the play ground. It was fun

Nice mostly shaded path mostly right beside the creek. Can pass a few hours riding bike easily. Beware of small woman named Tess who wonders the trail and repeats phrase Charlie lets go to candyland in a whine tone. Remember Charlies store is a cautionary tale.

Nice place for a picnic at the start of the Greenway. Playground for the kids and just overall peace and quiet. Wife and I like to go here once a week just to walk and talk and get away from things.

I LOVE this Greenway!!!! It stretches pretty far, allowing you to have an adventurous, yet productive time. Perfect for walking, jogging, running, or cycling. Returning to the elementary school entrance is always a great final workout, as its a steep incline. Youll enjoy it here!

My boyfriend and I had a great time at this park today and will be going back again soon. Its peaceful, quiet, and well-kept. I also felt very safe there.The only downside is that its very hard to find an entrance to the park. We had to park at the elementary school to have access to the trail.

Calming, peaceful and while close to hwy 85 and 485 you forget all about traffic and city. Beautiful paved walk ways and shaded benches. Perfect for walking, jogging and biking.

Absolutely awesome trails. Parking is sparse and you end up in the elementary school lot (stop in the office to let them know if you are out of state). It would be nice if there were markers along the trail other than mile markers. Still absolutely beautiful to walk, run, or bike.

Was a beautiful walking trail, however distance is not marked along the trail. There are several trails that branch off the main trail but no idea where they go or how long they are. We parked at mallard elementary school which was a shock in itself. We were told to park here by a fireman. After walking about 2 miles we came up on another elementary school. We found this very odd in todays time that there would be a trail not only so close to schools and children playing outside, let alone one school was the parking area. Great for biking and walking. We and our 3 dogs loved it.

Gosh the trails are maintained really well. This is a great place for dogs, Im always bringing the little guy. I wish there was a Porto potty or some sort of bathroom.

My favorite place to run with the stroller, its nice that theres so much shade when its super sunny/hot out.

We love the greenway. In total there are 49 miles of greenway in Mecklenburg. The Clarks Creek greenway is awesome and connects many neighborhoods in the University City area. We can actually ride from Prosperity Church all the way to UNCC football stadium! Paved and highly accessible to pedestrians, bicycles, wheelchairs, strollers, and skaters. There are no public utilities but lots of businesses along the way with bathroom facilities for patrons.

Great place to go for a run or walk. You have to park at the school in order to enter into the park. It was very quiet and peaceful when I was there.

Greenway is good. It should be extended more for a better cycling experience. Its a good initiative though.
