Though outshined by its giga coaster cousin across the way, Intimidator is still a fun and impressive ride. A big first drop, some twisty turnarounds, and three huge floaty airtime hills make it the king of airtime in the park. Theres even a couple bonus drops after the first set of brakes. Its a fun ride and you shouldnt miss out on it. For maximum speed and airtime, I recommend front row.

I am a roller coaster lover and this one doesnt look as intimidating as it actually is. Very strong and fast rides, push and pulls all over the ride. I loved all the rest of Carowinds roller coaster but Im intimidated by the intimidator probably skipping it next time. You guys have fun!

Nothing but speed and that amazing feeling of weightlessness! Great ride for the younger riders who arent ready for the really wild rides. Its a lot of fun, and youre especially brave if you dont hold onto to your lap handle!

Great little coaster but has too many brake runs. If they were turned off the ride would be great.

Nice as all get out. Fun from start to finish but not too rough on the body like some of the other rides like the hurler. Not quite as big as the Fury ride but totally better in my opinion. If you plan on hitting any of these big roller coasters, either come right when the park opens so you can Sprint to your ride and hop on, or just get yourself a fast pass. At most the time we waited today was 15 minutes with the fast pass. Solid investment.

Me and my cousin were dragged on to the ride by my aunt and uncle I had my eyes closed until I felt us falling on the top you get a amazing view of the park it is so smooth we finished saying We can’t believe we where scared to ride my aunt and uncle went somewhere but me and my cousin went on 3 more times we would have gone more if the park wasn’t going to close this is a ride that Even if you’re scared of heights/ thrill rides it is now our family favorite ride tomorrow we’re going to ride the fury 325 to see if it can take the cake

One of my most prominent memories is riding this for the first time. Now, I prefer to sit at the bottom and wait, because I get motion sick. I still think its fascinating, though, and less scary if you sit on the inside by the stairs.

Fun ride! If you can find an evening when there is no large crowd, you can plan to get on this one and fire it 10 times straight! Smooth and fast! Great memories for my son that seems to have emerged as my roller coaster partner.

If you are not ready to ride fury yet and still getting used to big roller coasters this is the one to start off with......I wasnt ready to rode roller coasters and wanted to start off slow til I got used to them i rode this til i loved them....all I did was take baby steps

Fantastic fun! The fast pass is definitely worth it, we got to ride both the front seats and back seats in roughly ten minutes.

It was a thrill! On the first drop my husband and I agree we blacked out for about 5-10 seconds. There were several twist and drops. It was SOMETHING! But we agree that wed ride it again.

Good coaster. And the designers made this to be safe AND accommodating to a large share of the population. This means it will help Cedar Fair for many many years draw people.... Im very tall yet not fat. It is unfortunate to see some modern coasters designers or park operators undercut the coasters long term draw by making it high thrill, but otherwise limited to a smaller subset of the population. No thrill coaster is going to be a long term draw if it can only accommodate people under 6 3 ... Not so with Intimidator or Fury 325. These two will keep people coming to the park for years.

A whole lot of fun in an extreme rollercoaster. The first stop gets me every time. Great views of Charlotte at the end of the ride.

Another really great ride at the park, but seriously, the operators have three trains running, but it takes them 4 minutes to send out one car, so you just sit on the brake run for 10 minutes until you are able to get off. Never seen worse workers even at a six flags

Good bolliger and mabillard hyper coaster. The trim brakes really kill the pacing of the ride but other than that, its pretty good. Ops were stapling the day I was there which took away from the ride. Overall, not my favorite bolliger and mabillard hyper coaster but nonetheless is still a great ride.

Intimidator is almost tied with Fury 325 for being the best ride at Carowinds, and my favorite ride of all time. Honestly, although they are different, it basically is Fury, just smaller. The ride is focused on airtime, which is amazing, and the restraints are comfortable and feel secure. You MUST ride this if you are at Carowinds! It’s super smooth and fun.

This ride was surprising great, I am closer to kings dominion and intimidator 305 is faster and intense, but this one feels fast, smooth and very fun to ride. 2nd best of carowinds just behind fury 325

Well, this one was interesting to say the least. It wasnt as great as fury, but the wait times were incredibly low, and it was totally re-rideable. The back seat is probably the best seat, since you get some insane amounts of airtime. A drawback from the back seat is that on one of the hills there are trim brakes so that means no airtime for that hill. Other than that it is a fantastic ride for all ages.

This is a baby version of Fury. If your not a big fan of fury you probably would not enjoy this ride. Still an overall awsome experience.

The ride operators of the Intimidator always do a great job at keeping the line moving. The quick load in and load out is just as entertaining as the ride itself and really makes it feel like you are in the pit lane of one of Dale Earnhardts races! Great ride over all!

Fun roller coaster

My 7 yr old dragged me on this coaster. Im not a big fan of the initial Drop, however it was a great ride and slightly prepaired me for Fury 325 (somehow she convinced me to ride that 3 times) I rode Intimidator once, and my 7 yr old rode it 4 times by herself!

Although a few years old now, still one of the best coasters in the park. The camel humps give lots of air time. Not a bad seat on the train.

This coaster is very controversial amongst coaster enthusiasts. I found it generally fun and it had some nice floater air moments, although not as much as I was expecting. The drop is fun, however you probably will not feel it that much due to the wide layout of the trains and the fact that this is a B&M hyper. Nice speed; you really feel like you are cruising and the additional forces this coaster provides are nice. Not very intense. Would make a great starter coaster for beginners or those who like coasters but Fury 325 is too big for them.
