As a former student of Charlotte Aquatics, I can confidently say that they have excellent swim lessons and provide a safe and comfortable atmosphere for a child to learn how to swim. All employees undergo extensive training to ensure that they maintain an extremely safe environment while delivering quality instruction. Taking swim lessons from Charlotte Aquatics gave me more confidence in the water and improved my swim skills drastically. In addition, the customer service is amazing and you truly feel like family when you are a part of Charlotte Aquatics.
We have been very happy here, and just finished up our fourth lesson so far. My 11 month old had never had formal lessons before coming here, and now she is putting her face in the water herself and isnt crying when she swims underwater! She even squeals with excitement every time we walk in the building now! Love the teachers here, and the small classes are an added bonus that you dont get at the YMCA. The location is easy to get in and out of, and we will definitely be coming back!(I received swim lessons in exchange for my opinion)
My two (2l nephews have enjoyed attending the classes and learning how to swim.
They are bacccccccck. Awesome job keeping place clean and safe for our children to learn how to swim and have an activity. Thank you
I do not have enough wonderful things to say about Charlotte Aquatics. The level of instruction simply cannot be beat — you will not find a more compassionate, caring or qualified team. We’ve been here for over three years and have had many instructors and witnessed many more at a distance, all of whom have been excellent in their own way. On a given day, you’ll see everything from tiny babies to screaming toddlers (my kid… for her first 6 weeks of lessons) to special needs children to adults in the pool. All taught with patience and grace by confident instructors who readily adapt programming to the needs of the swimmer — even with multiple kids in a class.I recommend CLT Aquatics to others without hesitation all the time, and every single person has been happy with their experience. In a time where swim schools are a dime a dozen, this place continues to be a gem and rises far above the rest — I know, because I tried one out due to pure convenience and promptly came back to CLT Aquatics. Enroll here. You absolutely will not be disappointed.
My 2.5 year old started swim lessons here after coming from lessons at a local rec pool. Charlotte aquatics has small classes which I think makes a big difference. My son is learning to swim instead of just playing games and singing songs. Also, if you can get the instructor William you’re lucky. He’s great with kids and makes the kids enjoy the class.
We have been at Charlotte Aquatics for over a year having come from another swim school. I cannot say enough wonderful things about them! The instructors are caring and want all their students to love the water while being safe. They are very welcoming and the facility is clean. Both my daughters have excelled in swimming since we have started at Charlotte Aquatics!
Fantastic first swimming lessons!! We wanted to start early with lessons for our little one. They will do lessons for 4 months old babies in group setting. They last for 20 minutes and including four weekend classes. The instructor helped my little relax and learned to get used to moving in the water with songs. I liked the format and the way they kept the class moving even given the group setting my little had some one to one time also. Great value for the cost—you pay a class fee (baby class $25)and membership fee. The membership $35 is for the year so the cost seems reasonable.
I love the individual attention my kids get here Charlotte Aquatics. The instructors of very well qualified and I love hearing how they give all the kids individual attention even though its a group class environment.
I really appreciate Charlotte Aquatics professionalism: their focus is entirely on swimming instructions for all ages and is not a sideline. The instruction has a strong focus on water safety training. Classes are small with 1 instructor and assistant, and fill up very quickly. Customer service is great, this session more Saturday classes were added after filling up hours after online registration stated.
My two boys have just started lessons at Charlotte Aquatics. My older son has taken lessons elsewhere before and still needed help with the basics. He is strengthening his skills and making good progress. This is my youngest sons first experience with lessons. He love it and is so much more comfortable in the water after only 3 lessons. Both seem to be soaking it up like sponges! I really think theyll finally learn to swim and be safe near the water!
Both of my children loving swimming and the teachers at Charlotte Aquatics. My son has low muscle tone and his improvement in strength has been amazing. Swimming has been the best thing ever for him physically and he loves all the things that they do there for the toddlers. My daughter love and is excelling through there great teachers!
We love Charlotte Aquatics! Water safety is so important and from the first Toddler class, my daughter was taught (elbow elbow knee knee - climb out to safety) how to get out of the water should she fall in. Sure, a beautiful stroke is important, but lets face it a 2 year old needs survival skills and shes gotten them here. I highly recommend and we are signed up again for Fall lessons and we hope that she can swim independently soon.
Almost an year at Charlotte Aquatics, and our son loves it. Training is planned and kids get better and better each week. The trainers are very experienced and know how to handle your precious little ones.
We have been with Charlotte Aquatics for over a year and absolutely love it. Our oldest is swimming very well. The instructors are all amazing, Kelly, the owner is absolutely fantastic. Our kids absolutely love it and we are so happy to be part of the Charlotte Aquatics family!
2 years old daughter love swimming and the teachers at Charlotte Aquatics. They teach them the basics of safety as well as good techniques. she also really like her instructor. We are very pleased with her progress and are very happy
My two children love taking swim lessons from Charlotte Aquatics. They have a very understanding and lovable group of instructors, who take the time to learn your childs strengths and weakness and then help them become better swimmers. The kids are always in the pool doing something and never sitting on the side waiting for their turn.I have recommended Charlotte Aquatics to friends and will continue to do so.Thank you so much for all you do!
We love Charlotte Aquatics, just not the changes that have taken place over the past year. There used to be 2 classes taking place at once, now there are three which makes both the pool and the area outside of the pool crowded and loud. When we started classes with Charlotte Aquatics lessons were in the 120 range and now a few years later they are 148 for 8 classes. We love the quality of the teachers and the progressive learning about swimming that Charlotte Aquatics does with their instructors but feel the instructors hands are tied when it comes to teaching the kids in their classes really well because of the noise and the distractions in the pool now. I hope that they can make some scheduling changes and offer longer times open and maybe classes on Sundays to decrease the class and pool crowding.
I attended the Free Toddler Demo with my daughter and Gigi was the instructor. We got a wonderful lesson from her and in addition the staff was absolutely wonderful! We signed up for classes because of the warm and friendly atmosphere!
I went their several years ago and i really loved it . I was going everyday. Then i ended up acting like i could cut back. And then i just got lazy and stop. But iam rea
My daughter goes to Charlotte Aquatics since last few months. They started increasing their fees every semester (every two months). When I started it was $126, then $136 and now $148. Also their registration process is very bad!! Its line standing in black friday lines...if you dont get in at specific time online..you won;t get the class you need. Also, I found that teachers are not so good any more...during one half an hour session, there are three classes going on at same time. Teachers some time spend time chatting with each other and not paying attention to students. My daughter is in same level since she started, I dont see any improvement in her. Now, as they increased their fees again, I am strongly thinking about quitting it. There should be better place (may be YMCA) out there that is worth this much money, Charlotte Aquatics is certainly not!! I do not recommend!!
This is our second session and my 2 year old daughter really enjoys it. She looks forward to going to class and seeing her instructors every sat and cries when its time to go. Thank Ms. Kristin and Mr. Mike. Kayla is really learning a lot.
We started our daughter out in swim class just before 2 1/2 years of age. She just missed the cutoff for the classes without parents, so we thought wed do one with me in the water to get her used to it. The first day, the staff noticed she was way ahead of the very young babies she was with and switched her class. We moved into a class where I was in the water half the time and out the other half, and she loved every minute. The next session, we moved into the regular classes and she has done SO well!! She LOVES going to swim class and is learning a ton. I feel so much better about her being in the water and around pools. All of the instructors are so nice, but we love Ms Gigi the best :)
Wonderful experience felt at home right away and my son loved swimming after the different balls ! Great time
Love Charlotte Aquatics! My 3 1/2 yr old daughter is having so much fun! Thanks! KMac
My 2 and 3 year old have been taking swim lessons at Charlotte Aquatics for almost a year. We have had experience with several instructors and loved every one. My children really look forward to going to their swim lessons and have learned so much. I feel so much more comfortable with them around any body of water now that they have each learned basic water safety skills. I would recommend this facility to anyone looking to teach skills to their children and have wonderful bonding time with babies under the age of 2.
Love Charlotte Aquatics! My kids are swimming better than I ever imagined and the teachers are wonderful!
My two children (3 and 5 years old) have been attending Charlotte Aquatics for two years. The instructors are wonderful. I can see the progress although both of my children did spend several sessions in Level 2. This is a very difficult level because they progress from just comfort in the water to beginning to swim on their front and backs. The instructors are very patient and really focus on safety skills in the lower levels such as climbing out of the pool, swimming back to the wall if you fall in and bobbing if you get over your head. It is expensive for lessons (especially for two $296 per session!) and it is the only drawback I have but we budget for the lessons and have had the grandparents gift them lessons for christmas. I believe learning to swim is a very important life skill and I love watching my kids gain a sense of pride as they work hard on their skills. They love it when they finally move up and get their picture taken with the new patch!
My daughter is taking her classes for almost an year, now she can enter a pool without any hesitation. The main goal of them is SAFETY and they are teaching it very well.
We love Charlotte Aquatics! The office staff and owner are very friendly and personable. The best teacher is Miss Gigi! She is firm yet caring and fun. Our son is going through a regression currently and she and I talked about encouraging him and letting him know he is safe in the water. We started putting him in swimming lessons when he was 3. I wish I had put him in MUCH earlier. My daughter, who was 11 months when she started, has a lot less fear of the water than my son does. We started with her last year because we were invited to one of their free toddler demo classes that they offer occasionally. So glad we attended! The toddler classes are so much fun because I am able to get in the pool with my daughter and help her learn certain skills. She actually thinks she can swim by herself! Miss Gigi is very flexible with that age group because everyone knows that toddlers are not always going to cooperate. :)The classes for the older children focus on safety as much as they do skills. They are taught that there are certain things they can do if they fall into the pool, like float on their backs, swim to the wall, or tread water. They also have to learn certain skills to move to the next level. My son has repeated levels and I have felt very confident in Miss Gigis decision to hold him back. I do not take it personally or feel that he is relearning skills, just honing them.I love the proximity of the seating area to the pool although it can get pretty warm and muggy at times. I just love the ability to give a thumbs up to my son or shout an encouraging word. The classes are short at 30 minutes a week and may seem expensive but they are worth every penny! It is a wonderful investment into your childs safety. They also have a wonderful program that started last session where you can win prizes, including gift certificates for swim, for using social media involving Charlotte Aquatics. Liking their page on Facebook, checking in on FourSquare, and sharing pictures and videos, etc. I am enjoying this program, especially since I won a prize! Its great to get credit for doing things you would normally do!I would definitely recommend Charlotte Aquatics to any parent who wants their child to feel safe in the water.
