James Island Yacht Club is a great place to do some boating and is also a really good event space. This area has some of the best views of Charleston from the water as you can see just about the entire Peninsula from a unique perspective. I really like the big dock and waterfront as it goes pretty far out on the water and is very peaceful and beautiful. The James Island Yacht Club is very well maintained and is a nice place to visit and be a part of.

We had an event here for an oyster roast and they provided a perfect area outside for hosting and providing enough space for a pretty large crowd with food and beverages. It was easy to find and navigate to the actual event as a guest without feeling lost like most yacht clubs. I recommend trying it out for event hosting for sure.

It is always a pleasure to visit and enjoy!!! As a members and guests only club it cannot be beat as one can enjoy the company of its members and the activities offered. Very well worth becoming a member as a great Yacht, Boating, Fishing, Tennis and Social Club on James Island.

Too long ago but remember I enjoyed.

One of my favorite places on James Island. Good for member parents and kids. Kids can peruse the beach for shark s teeth while parents enjoy a couple of adult beverages. Accessible via golf cart from my sister-in-laws.
