We had our wedding here, and the Yacht Club couldnt have done a better job. The Flag Room is nicely, but subtly, decorated...we didnt have to do much decorating of our own because the space itself is so pretty. Its an indoor-outdoor venue, so we got all the benefits of harbor views without any fears of being rained out. Lots of amazing spots for pictures. Bonus points for how accommodating they were about our COVID- related rescheduling - they were great!

The weather was beautiful for a boat cruise. There was music and food that set an atmosphere for the evening. The view from the top deck was amazing. Pictures cant do it justice.

Fabulous yacht club. One of the best sunset views and fabulous staff and members. Very welcoming and there’s always something fun going on!

Great place for Charleston Offshore Racing Association Xmas party

We experienced the yacht club for a wedding a few weekends ago and I cant say the setting was spectacular. I dont know why it was chosen. Perhaps the brides parents were members. If they are members, the dues need to be raised to pay for some renovations to the venue. They have windows in the ballroom that are maybe four feet high off the ground, blocking out the whole reason to have a venue on a marina: to look at the boats and shore!Ive been lucky enough to visit some swanky clubs and event locations in my life, and this fell way below an acceptable standard of service. The parking staff at the gate hardly opened the window when we were informed we had to pay to park. They argued with us about paying and then gave us the wrong change for a $20. Im sorry, but if you rent out a place that calls itself a yacht club Im expecting the lot to be available for free to the patrons.Really, the saving grace of this place was the food and dining staff. They were all friendly and courteous to a crowd that can get loud and obnoxious quickly. Theyre probably used to it at this point.

I attended an event at this location and I really enjoyed it. It offered some really nice views from the rear deck and was very well kept.

The Charleston Yacht Club was the perfect venue for hosting our wedding! It seemed unreal to be able to find a venue in downtown Charleston that was actually affordable, who let you choose both your catering AND allowed you to provide your own alcohol (for any bride on a budget, know that this is a MASSIVE cost savings). Debbie was absolutely fabulous and soothing of any of my concerns and anxiety when wedding planning, and always welcomed me with open arms when I wanted to come in and look at the venue for décor ideas considering the flag room recently underwent renovations. We had our wedding on December 9th, so not only did we have the breathtaking Christmas tree for photo opps (not only for us, but for our guests – several guests made their photos at our wedding the highlight of their Christmas cards), but the Yacht Club also had beautiful string lights that were illuminated once the sun went down on all of the banisters overlooking the water. We wanted a winter wonderland wedding of sorts, and having our wedding at the Yacht Club allowed us to do just that. They were very lenient within reason and accommodating, and it really is an exceptional venue for the price. We were able to get some AMAZING photographs on the dock as well – and having the large sailboats in the background made it seem like our photos were taken straight out of bridal magazines. I’m so happy we decided to have our wedding at the Charleston Yacht Club. Book them – you won’t regret it!

One of the best Yacht Clubs around, and the only one open to women as members! The staff are friendly and very helpful, the members are engaged and active and very friendly to newcomers!

This is the best place to watch the sunset! Folks there are really, really friendly too!
