Many wonderful childhood memories, and watched as couples marry each other in the gazebo. A must see when you visit Charleston and those that place tourist in our own town.
Beautiful park on the water. Well behaved dogs can run off leash 9-5. Gorgeous mansions line the street!
The Battery and White Point Garden is a great place to breathe the fresh air off of the water of Charleston Harbor and see some beautiful trees. It is also located within walking distance of Waterfront Park which offers porch swings to sit in on the dock while being surrounded by the Charleston Harbor, The Pineapple Fountain and the beautiful fountain that you can cool off in its chlorinated water to keep you safe.
Came to Charleston for a family vacation and we came across this park. Such a great garden by the water! Beautiful statues, trees and flowers. And a great place for a picnic! There is free parking around the gardens and you can access the park wherever you park. On a sunny day you can’t beat it! Highly recommend!
Lovely park at the battery in downtown Charleston. You can park around the perimeter for free for up to 2 hours. There are huge oak trees and several monuments for history buffs. Its a lovely place to picnic. Be aware that there are no restrooms here, the closest public restrooms I know of are a short walk down East Bay street at Hazel Parker Playground.
This park is beautiful to walk around. Everything was so clean - not a piece of trash anywhere. It was so quiet and peaceful. We had driven by a few times but ended up walking down from our hotel about 7pm after a storm came through. There are a few monuments in the area and also a gazebo as well. You can capture some great photos here too!
White Point Garden is one of my favorite parks in Charleston. It is a quiet and green space that is close to the water and you can relax, run around, or find a quiet spot to work. It has wifi and plenty of trees and shade to keep cool on a hot day. It is surrounded by history and has many places to sit and chill out. There is plenty of free parking nearby and spots available even on the most busiest days.
The trees here are beautiful. You can also take a walk on the waterfront.
One of my favorite places in Charleston. Beautiful views and very peaceful! Lots of history here.
Very nice park. Loved the trees and the breeze coming off the water.
Gorgeous! Educational, pretty views and nice breezes.
Quaint Park located at the Battery. Great oak trees provide shade, gazebo offers great backdrop, statues and cannons will delight kids and history buffs alike.**advice - no bathroom here but one is within about a 5-7 walking distance at the Hazel playground**
Always an awesome place to visit while in Charleston South great photo opportunities. Especially with your drone. A Little slice of heaven, you might say.
Nice and clean.. Beautiful place to visit
Its beautiful, even more so once the sun went down. Took a stroll with my best girlfriends after dinner. Will definitely return again.
A beautiful park to walk around. Many magnificent oak trees. We parked few blocks away; therefore, cannot give inputs on the parking situation. But it was nice to walk around in the area and along the river. We enjoyed the view and appreciated the history of Charleston.
Nice place to walk and enjoy the scenery.
Perfect place to park. Stroll the garden park, walk along the battery and admire the view. Beautiful historic homes line the street facing the gardens & water.
Very picturesque garden with tidbits of history. The look onto the water makes it all the better. It seems like a popular venue for weddings and just photos in general with the grand gazebo in the center. The trees provide a lot of shade and make the experience relaxing.
A very enjoyable trip of sightseeing.
I think this is one of my favorite spots in all of Charleston. Make sure that you bring a blanket and some goodies to snack on. It is lovely and peaceful.
White Point Gardens is always where I start my day through downtown Charleston. Theres free parking all around the park and all the way down the battery heading west. This is the perfect place to get some shade during the day. Also, look up The Secret: Another Treasure next chance you get and White Point Gardens gains a whole new level of awesome! I love this place.
Very nicely kept little park. Many were playing Pokemon or playing with their dogs. Area was very clean and offered a nice view of the harbor. Bear in mind, there were no restrooms.
Interesting crowd, from prayer circles to ghost hunters. Cool breeze and a lot of shade.
Gorgeous park with great views of the waterfront. Tons of trees to enjoy shade under. The gazebo is quite a sight to behold. All of the historical mortars and canons make it a much more satisfying experience!
A childhood favorite and now my kids love it too
Great scenery of waterfront and good run around town in morning
Beautiful place to visit to see true Charleston charm.
This park was beautiful. A must see when in Charleston!
Love the area, atmosphere, history and the smell of the ocean. Very nice to walk around the park for pictures. We did not notice any public restrooms in the vicinity. Parking was around the park but only for 2 hours and was free.
Its been a long since my last visit. Many modes of transportation to see our history.
Gorgeous park by water, definitely a place to check out while in Charleston
Beautiful! Gorgeous views of the harbor, live oaks shading the park. Historic Charleston at its finest.
From the trees to the monuments, White Point Garden conveys a sense of enduring history and memory, greatly encouraging the wander to stop, and take in.
A beautiful park at The Battery. Plenty of shade under the live oaks provide a welcome respite from the heat. Perfect for a picnic or people watching. Great harbor views out to Ft. Sumter. Easy walk from the park up East Bay St. to Rainbow Row.
Enjoyed a nice peaceful stroll this morning before the sun came up. Saw quite a few birds. Love it.
I love the gracefulness of the live oaks here. They make a beautiful background for the lovely old houses across the street. This is a truly unique place to wander around.
Looks beautiful, needs lights for the night time though
Always a beautiful park, but people need to be more considerate and stop throwing their trash on the ground.
Beautiful park set right near the battery with plenty of shade to relax on a hot day. The views are awesome as well overlooking the water.
Great location right near the battery and lots of benches in the shade just very nice and lots to read and appreciate
Beautiful park at the battery in historic downtown Charleston.
Beautiful, historic place. A permanent part of history. Very clean.
Nice to visit, walk through. Aviary was quite a surprise!
The souther tip of Charleston sc. Pretty park and gardens. Walk on the shores of the bay. Check out the USS Hobson memorial. The ship sank in less that 4 minutes. All perished. Check out the names of the men who died. Plentu of shade for a hot day.
Beautiful area with lots of history and views
This park has a lot to offer. It is a beautiful place right by the water with a lot of shade and space. You can bring your dog and have a picnic with friends. There is also history in the park where you can see various monuments ranging from Confederate soldiers to pirates.
A nice place for a picnic near the water, although some tables would be nice. Lot of good shade though
Beautiful, relaxing and great place for families. Perfect ace to run and enjoy the breeze off the water.
Beautiful park with views. It’s a dog lovers paradise! Perfect place for engagement photos or wedding photos and it has a gazebo in the middle of the park. The outer rim has canons and cannonballs as well for cool photo opportunities.
Beautiful park, right off the Battery. Lots of historical plaques, monuments and a beautiful gazebo that would be perfect for an intimate wedding. Located right off of Rainbow Row, and from here you can easily walk the streets of downtown Charleston.
It’s lovely. They even have a pay phone.
Its has been a while since my last visit. It still remains a very crowded ( parking situation) place especially with construction taking place. Once parked, the serenity is mind blowing, smiles are contiguous and the scenery is delightful . Wheather one is there for a getaway picnic or exercise. One would walk away with a memorable experience. Just priceless!
Wonderful park along the famous Charleston Battery where the Ashley and Cooper rivers join to form Charleston harbor - or as Charlestonians say, the Atlantic ocean. One gets a scenic view of the harbor including Ft. Sumter. Great place for a stroll along the battery, picnic, etc.
Nice scenery and pleasant foliage
Absolutely gorgeous. Look in the trees for the night heron!
Beautiful, historic, and peaceful...
Lovely Park. Nice to walk along the battery and walk bank thru the park
A splendid park offering the ultimate Charleston experience. Amazing views of sunrise and sunset.
Beautiful place to picnic, walk you dog or kids to run and play. The views are breathtaking year round, night and day. Free internet by Charleston
Lovely historic park. The gazebo was, if I remember correctly, used in the execution process for pirates. Its truly a lovely place to take a stroll. Not as many tourists in this area. Well shaded walking paths and benches with great view of the harbor. I highly recommend this area for getting some work or reading done outside in the fresh air.
Awesome park and historical site downtown Charleston SC.
Dog friendly park in the Charleston battery area. Good place to relax and enjoy the water.
We parked our bikes and took a few photos! This park is a great place to bring a picnic, read a book in the sunshine, or just relax. Lots of cute dogs too!
A good place to walk around, Quiet and relaxing.
Beautiful park on the Charleston battery.
Well kept and historic.
Peking can be difficult. But the statues and park are beautiful. Near the water so there’s a nice view.
Love the Gardens, parking can be a challenge, if not impossible
This a nice place to start your battery walk. You can find road side parking as well
Full of great views, great history and great scenery. It was our first stop on our 3 day trip to south Carolina and it got us started exactly how we hoped. Its very low key but has a great energy around all the monuments. Be weary of protesters there every day now in front of the confederate statues to have them torn down, and oppositional protesters dressed as confederate soldiers across the street. All in all it was hilariously more than we expected to see.
Beautiful garden and trees. Very romantic! Definitely worth spending a nice sunny and warm afternoon here if youre ever visiting Charleston.
Beautiful place, with the most gorgeous trees.
Beautiful scenery, amazing historical homes
Very beautiful place to take pictures and view old houses!
Free 2 hour parking, convenient to downtown. Leash free dog park also at certain times.
Its the battery. Its pretty great place for photos or a walk.
Beautiful place to visit along the Battery. Filled with cannons and tree covered green space next to the Charleston Harbor.
Beautiful old trees and pleasant space
Perfect place to watch the sunset with a loved one!
Spectacular views of the harbor.
Fabulous waterfront park. Great place to learn about history or sit on a park bench and watch the world go by.
Great place to come and relax and enjoy the beautiful scenery surrounding you. Awesome views of the harbor and the beautiful homes along the park. Lots of shade trees and benches to take a load off. Sit and imagine all of the history that has taken place on this site. Parking is plentiful nearby, depending on the travel season, will determine how easy. Definitely worth a visit.
Very clean and great place to walk.
Nice place to walk around.
A great park with easy parking!
Beautiful place for a picnic!
Beautiful downtown Charleston. Right on or in the harbor within walking distance of so much history.
Perfect location to visit when in the Charleston area. Its filled with history and beautiful oak trees. I complete dozens of elopements there yearly.
This was our first stop on our self guided tour of Charleston. We LOVED it!! Be sure to look up and see all of the birds nesting in the trees. Stop to appreciate the monuments and check out the gorgeous path along the ocean. The second we walked over we saw dolphins feeding and gliding so close to us!!! Incredible. Will be back!
Good place to visit when you are in historic downtown Charleston. You can park your car next to the waterside for free. Nice place to relax and see some nice, big, old houses.
Beautiful garden near the shore in Charleston. Surrounded by beautiful homes and gardens. Impossible to visit Charleston and do not stop by. It is a must.
Not much to do or see. Its on the water. So you can see a glimpse of fort Sumter. Theres a few statues and cannons. Go before statues are removed thanks to millennials. Nice B&B across the street
What a beautiful park. Its vintage Charleston
