The waterfront park is nothing impressive (Myrtle Beach and Savannah are much more impressive) but the pineapple fountain, c’mon that’s festive!! Cute spot for a photo op or just to relax.

Always a good spot to just take in the beauty of our city. It’s full of tourists as you would expect, but it’s a really nice waterfront park to walk and just hang out down by the water. I make a point when I’m just trying to get some downtown time in to walk this area and the surrounding cobblestone streets. Such a pretty area.

I love pineapple everything, and coming here was on my bucket list. It was absolutely beautiful and well worth the drive. I loved that there was another fountain close by and a pier we walked on. Definitely recommend!

A pretty place to rest. A pluthera of benches positioned in the shade are a great way to give yourself a break and do some people watching. There were kids wading in the fountain to cool off. Nearby resturaunts make it a destination when taking in the sites.

I love bringing my grand baby here. The view is perfect and the baby enjoys playing in the water. The huge trees also keep it cool.

Simple, free, and in the historic part of town. See great views. Very close to the open market. And if youre into history, be sure to slow down and look around.

One of the best photo spots in Charleston. This beautiful and unique fountain is a popular place to snap a pic or have a picnic. Youll see little ones running around the waters rim in the warm months. Lots of benches for taking a break from the walking tours or after a delicious meal at a Charleston restaurant. Great views here of Ft. Sumter, Patriots Point and The Ravenal Bridge!

The pineapple fountain at waterfront Park downtown Charleston is such a beautiful location. The fountain is on for the kids to play in during the summer. The park around the fountain is excellent for seeing the beauty of the Charleston waterfront during sunset and sunrise. Plenty of places to get great food around the corner, places in benches to sit and just enjoy the sun.

It was very hot outside on my visit but the fountain created a nice refreshing breeze that helped cool us down. Very beautiful as well.

Always have a good time when we come here. I only wish they would put down some foam or something on the ground so the kids running around wont slip and hit concrete.

The fountain is beautiful, with a lot of greenery around the fountain. It had benches to sit on and enjoy the fountain. I did not know that people can swim in the fountain and was shocked to see people swimming in the fountain.

Had a friend show me around and this place is pretty cool. We are planning on moving to South Carolina soon and we wanted to see how the area was. Very happy with it

To really appreciate the pineapple Youve got to Google its rich history. Also take a look at the fountain really close up and enjoy the rich textures the artist stakenly and put into The fountain. Its truly a work of art to be appreciated over the ages.

Its a really unusual fountain that Ive seen, during the main part of the day families are playing in it. So if your interested in getting a photo without the crowds patience is needed. Its so busy during the heat of the day, other wise morning or evening would be best.

To be honest, yes its just a fountain, but its a really cool fountain. You can sit by it and watch the sun rise! Or just take a picture of it.

Wonderful afternoon in the park. Many boats in the harbor and clear views of Ft. Moultrie and Ft. Sumter. The Pineapple Fountain was still awesome with the water off. Highly recommend this beautiful setting anytime of day!

Fountain looked cleaned and maintained. Lots of people letting their kids wade and splash in the water. Not sure I would do that. Not the same as pool.

Great photo opportunity. During the day you will find kids all over it though, so you may want to wait until early evening or night. It is lit nicely.

This was a great place to visit. The views were great, the park was very family friendly and the history is everywhere. It would take days to see even 1/8 of all the awesomeness. The public dog parks and playgrounds were such a pleasant surprise, they were clean and filled with life.

We visited the Pineapple Fountain as a part of Charleston in the Nutshell walking tour. Beautiful symbol of hospitality is gracing the Waterfront park and is a popular tourist attraction site on the Charleston harbor. Located next to the water taxi pier and the harbor boardwalk.

Absolutely beautiful fountain in a very nice area of Charleston, I would recommend driving from far and wide to view this puppy.

This is one of my favorite places. It sits right on the Charleston harbor and its in the middle of the beautiful waterfront Park. Its a great location for pictures and a favorite tourist attraction. Its a must see for anyone visiting Charleston.

On a family vacation so it was my first time visiting the Pineapple Fountain but I could have stared at it for hours! Kids were playing in it, adults were splashing kids, it was a fun time for all! And being next to the water makes it even more enjoyable! There’s lots to do around the area, too. Just make some time to stop here and take a breather! Highly recommend!

You might have to wait a bit to get your perfect picture as it is a very popular place in Charleston and you will not be the only one there trying to get a picture but it worth the wait. And there are nice benches all the way around it all with a beautiful view of the water. If you are too hot cannot cool off in the water but there is another fountain just to the left (as you look to the water) that you are free to dip your toes in up to your ankles. Trust me, you will want to. ;)

Cool looking you must go past the wading fountain then walk right at the dock on the dirt trail walk a couple 100 feet it is on the right.

A truly unique fountain and honestly fun to visit (mostly because you are actually allowed to wade in it). We loved both taking the chance to cool off in the water, and the shape of the fountain itself. The pineapple really does make you feel welcome in Charleston.
