Beautiful theater. Spacious seats with great views of the entire stage. They have a variety of performances throughout the year. Parking can be tricky on street, but there is a very close parking garage less than a block away.
Recently renovated, this is one of the few historic theaters in the city.
Theatre dates back to 1920s. Right now it is under renovations. The whole stage has been gutted down to the floor joists. Total demo of the concrete slab that tied into the stage. The rebar that was used connect the foundation of the building to the stage was square instead of the circular rebar you see now. History destroyed to be preserved..
One of the buildings i work when neeeded a nice threate and place for events
It looked like they were doing renovations. This theater has always been one of my favorites. Its nostalgic for me, because I used to see movies there as a child.
Beautiful theater and wonderful show. It was a great experience. Cant wait to see what show they have next. I want to go back. Had a great time.
Nice place, awesome show. Parking is an issue but that’s the same for every place in that area.
Lovely restored theater that is now a performance and event venue. It is owned by the College of Charleston and can be used by Community groups and organizations. It Harkens back to the day when Grand movie palaces were the norm. Dont miss the amazing murals on the wall. Some of them are being conserved now and have been removed, others are in place and awaiting restoration.
Nice place, no parking. Had to walk 4 blocks or more.
The stage is not the biggest, but its a nice theater for preformers like me. I still like the gaillard better
Fantastic atmosphere to watch a performance.
A charleston staple! A must visit. If you get an opportunity to see a show here do it!
Small, historic, all seat are good, so affordable, in the middle of everything
Acoustics in this theater are spectacular as it was designed (and renovated) for non-amplified performances. The interior is stunningly beautiful as well.
Very nice venue. You do have to pay for parking near it.
I love how this is theater has been restored. I like seeing the Nutcracker here better than at the PAC.
Classic 800 seat theatre owned by the College of Charleston. Built in the 20s. Good venue.
Went for the 1st time to see the Nutcracker with our daughter. We were very impressed and all enjoyed ourselves!
Old school feel. Love the shows
I love this theater and the many shows it hosts each year. I recommend getting tickets for the Nuovo Cinema Italiano Film Festival.
Beautiful Theater and good technology available for conferences, I recommend it, for the right size group.
Great location. Walls need to be repaired.
Very nice and clean.
