For sure its outdated as all other reviews state but they prices reflect that, 6 bucks for adults and 4 for kids you cant get that price anywhere even a matinee. They have a nice arcade area and the staff was nice and friendly, bathrooms and movie area was clean. Really nothing to complain about.

Great place, clean theater and roomy considering its age (not many people showed up which was nice). Very nice greeters, but had to dock a point for the miserable app experience (couldnt log me in despite the fact that I made an account). Your standard theater. No bells and whistles. Other than that, great experience overall.

Theres not much parking here but on Avengers Endgame opening weekend we were fortunate enough to get in here. The staff are extremely nice and actually seem happy to work there. The snacks are pretty pricey but the tickets are lower than most places, so they offset. And the staff does their best to save you money by recommending the app, rewards and when refills are available.

Cute, small, cheap & have nothing bad to say a about this theatre. I’ve been coming here for years! Yes, the screens are smaller compared to others & all seats are leveled the same. If you’re looking for a more modern, high quality theatre then go somewhere else that’s more expensive, don’t complain here about it! The prices of tickets/snacks are cheaper than other theatres & it’s still pretty nice.

For an older smaller 6 screen theater, it was surprisingly well maintained. The staff was very friendly and ticket prices were lower than anywhere Ive been in a long time. Also they didnt have the theater freezing cold like some cinemas do these days. Will put that on my movie place list.

Worst theater experience I have ever had. I was looking forward to seeing a movie all week, so I purchased tickets online. When I came in I was carded even though I am an adult clearly above the 17+ age restriction for R movies. I did not have my wallet with me because I bought tickets ahead of time and used public transit. Employees and manager would not accept a government issued UNC Chapel Hill student ID or a picture of my license which shows very clearly the North Carolina state emblem and all the details regarding my age. They barely even looked at my boyfriends ID who had it with him, yet they would not accept ANY of the various proof of my adulthood. Joke of a theater. If a public university ID is good enough identification at a federal airport it should be good enough at a local theater. Not sure what people are supposed to do if they don’t have a license or form of ID this cinema finds acceptable. Plenty of people don’t have these types of ID available to them, and this policy feels discriminatory toward them.

My friend wanted to see the 3D version of Shazam! last Tuesday, and this location had a time that worked for us. It had been a decade since I had been to Timberlyne to see a movie (I work at one of their competitors in the CH area), but it was clean and well-maintained. Staff was friendly and we were the only ones in that showing. 3D looked great and my friend loved it. We may have to see Avengers Endgame here due to the price and lower foot traffic. The theater is limited to six screens so choice is limited to big studio films mostly.

Movie times on new releases are the only problem we have with this theater. We do not like to view 3D movies and this Regal Theater only shows newly released movies in 3D at a decent mid-day time. Weeks pass by before they are shown early afternoon; so we are forced to visit other theaters miles further away! We drive 20+ miles just to see movies and the late afternoon movies are not a good option for us. Otherwise, the Theater is in a great location, convenient parking, Nice theater, friendly staff, good pricing for tickets, food and drink.

Review №37

The theatres a bit dated and needs repairs. The screen in theatre 2 has ripples that need to be fixed or replaced, when the AC kicks on, it practically shakes the room and you lose dialog from the noise. The surround sound needs adjustment, as the center is really low and the rear surround sound is none existent. Staff is great though.

Je
Review №38

Cheap, clean, pretty friendly employees. The theatres are old, it felt like I had flashed back to the early 90s. The sound quality was pretty poor and the screens are on the small side. The theatres are very long and have sloped flooring which you dont see too much anymore. Probably wont be back, as the high cost of concessions more than makes up for any money saved on the cheap admission.

This is my go-to theater because you can’t beat the price of their tickets. The staff are always friendly as well and it’s never too crowded. However, you’re getting what you pay for. The theater is old and run down. The theaters have a musky smell and don’t have good sound blocking - you can hear the movie playing next door to yours.

Opening weekends are never a hassle here. No waiting always room. Parking can be tricky but there is plenty. Popcorn snacks and drinks are of course overpriced but if youre going for the experience its great. Most every movie is shown in some form of 3-D. We went today to see the new Grinch movie. I would have loved to have gone it and seen it in 3D but the only showing was at 9:30 at night. I took my grandbaby and by 8 p.m. every night she is knocked out so I knew that was not going to work. Prices are reasonable they charge kids under 11 a childs price. This is my go-to place every time I want to see a movie. Plenty of restaurants around from every country Italian Chinese Japanese regular old Pizza. Subway you name it. And if you want to tailgate hahaha there is a grocery store right across the street.

Ive never been in the cinema, but I pass by there at least three times a week. Adult admission was $6.50 for a movie. They have plenty of parking and Timberlyne shopping center across the street allows some overflow parking. Ive intended on going, but just havent gotten the opportunity.

I like Timberline because the ticket prices are incredible and they show new movies! But its not your upscale cinema. The theater floors are not on an incline so dont sit behind anyone tall! Sweet local feeling cinema with friendly staff. The seats are medium comfort - no springs coming through but pretty uncomfortable after 2 hours- and you can hear some sounds between theaters (bass) but the ticket price is right. Id give them 5 star but docking them 2 stars for hugely overpriced popcorn ($9 plus tax for a large (!) and only $2 less for a small). Also $5 for a 25c bottle of water - come on really? Get real on the concessions folks your clientele are not that padded!

My husband and I go to the movies weekly and frequent all of the greater CH theaters including ones in Durham and Apex. We find different pluses and minuses for each. Timberlyne is an easy movie experience. Parking is close and easy. If there is overflow from their own lot, its right across the street. Rarely is there much of a wait. Almost always we get right in. Seating is roomy and comfortable. Snacks are good, not exorbitant; and the staff goes the extra mile. I have had popcorn brought to me (in my seat) because they needed to make a fresh batch. They try to please. Actually, I am going there later today to see Mockingjay and know it will be an easy, fun experience.

My girlfriend and I tried to go watch an R rated horror film here today. Im 19 and shes 18. She bought the tickets online and left her wallet and home, so she didnt have her ID with her. When we got to the theater, an employee asked to see our IDs, and she obviously didnt have hers. He took a very cursory glance at mine and asked for hers, and she said she didnt have it and tried to show her UNC system issued student ID card that had her birthdate printed on it. We were told rudely by a manager that that wasnt acceptable and that she needed to show a government issued ID, even though the school ID is accepted at airports and polling places. We even attempted to show the manager woman a picture of her government issued ID from a picture on her phone, which clearly had her birthdate printed on it, and the manager still wouldnt accept it as verification. This was a bummy theater that looked to be on its last legs, enforcing some stupid policy that they clearly shouldnt be. We didnt get to see the movie, and I will never ever be back here again. I really hope this particular theater goes under for the absolutely horrendous service they provided us. They didnt offer to honor our tickets to another movie or anything, just told us we needed to leave. DONT WASTE YOUR TIME AND MONEY AT THIS TERRIBLE THEATER. Hands down the worst cinema experience Ive ever had.

We received heavy attitudes from the staff and were told to just go in with an eye roll they didnt even bother to check our tickets. The theater itself was dirty and felt very sketchy.
