Paisley Park was a dream come true..only thing missing was my physical PRINCE This place is BEAUTIFUL and if U go, please take the ULTIMATE TOUR W/JOSH . He was great. Inside you can still feel his Royal Badness everywhere. The staff and security do it Justice and protect the property. The lounge at the end of the tour is WONDERFUL AND PLEASE GO TO THE GIFT SHOP. I have been with the PURPLE ONE SINCE I was 12YRS old was devastated in 4/21/16 when I heard the news of his passing....at 53, I took this pilgrimage alone and it was the best time I have had in a long time. Met wonderful Paisley passionates like myself ( Hi Amy & Rob), had an Amazing Experience..and got to PARTY UP!!!Highly Recommend visiting Paisley Park...it is in UR .
An incredible experience. It was so amazing to see the studios where so much incredible music was made. Prince had a vision for this place to some day be a museum and theyve done a wonderful job with that. Its done in a very respectful way. Princes personal space is not on display. I was able to see some of his clothes, cars, and instruments. He had so many things they say the displays will be able to change many times so Im definitely going again. If youre interested in Prince or music at all you should check this out. Also want to mention our tour guide Josh. He was fantastic. He was very knowledgeable and able to answer questions but also a lot of fun. We sang. We danced and I cried.
Visited Paisley Park 9/4/2020. The whole experience was amazing. As a big Prince fan it added closer in my heart . They have tissues along the way. You’re gonna need them. Our tour guide Josh was very informative and if someone had a question he didn’t have an answer to he made sure to get them. I found all the staff was pleasant. Make sure to walk the memorial path in front of the property.
This was an Amazing experience for me as I am a huge Prince Fanatic! First of all, our Amazing tour guide was Tommy (Tom) and he was beyond awesome and was very knowledgeable about Prince and his way of life, which made the tour that much more Amazing! I am from Colorado, and would definitely make the trip and do it all again!! So Thank you for the experience Tommy!
We went to see Princes last known location of his life. We went in the Gift shop and NPG room pretty cool. Didnt have tour tickets little pricey maybe next time we visit.
Took a 3-hour VIP tour with Tommy as the guide and it was excellent. If you are a fan you might get teary eyed a few times. It’s heavy getting to be in Prince’s space! They were serious about masks and maintaining a safe space with reduced capacity. I was very pleased about that. On the tour, You see three studio spaces, a video editing room where they play some great unreleased footage, and a few rooms with stage costumes, but you can’t photograph most of it because they seal your phone in a sleeve. I would have loved more audio/video of rare performances and more of his memoribilia, but as is I got my money’s worth. The staff were friendly and let me come into the gift shop before it was open to buy a beverage because my blood sugar was shaky. Tommy was good because he grew up in the area, went to a bunch of the after shows and has interesting stories. Clearly loves Prince and clearly loves his job. Wishing Paisley Park good luck setting the example as the first museum in town opening back up!
Worth every penny. If you are a fan you will love it.
Fabulous! They have done a great job honoring Prince. Our tour guide was very informative. They have great displays, music selections were spot on for each room. We took the smaller tour and enjoyed it a lot. I didnt feel like I was shorted on the experience by not taking the larger tour. I do plan to go back for the full tour as time and money allow. It felt like a must see tour and Im so glad we went.
Still open as of October . Very beautiful, parking inside. There’s someone at the gate when you first arrive directing traffic and the tour guide makes sure everyone is in masks and six feet apart.
If you’re a Prince fan then this is a great place. Interesting facts about the musician and Paisley Park. The tour guides are friendly and knowledgeable! Worth the visit.
I loved it. It was such a cool experience and felt like Prince was in the building. The tour included a VIP experience of taking a few pics.
Amazing experience! You could feel his presence there! Much larger inside than I had anticipated! Sannia was an excellent tour guide! Dont miss!
Definitely a place to see! At the end we stopped to talk to Mark. He was very friendly, polite and informational. He kept eye contact with us and had no problem answering all of our questions.
Great tour with fanboy guides. Would be nice to see some living quarters though...
Got a call 15 minutes prior to the start of our tour time to tell us our tour was canceled. As we were, of course, by that point, already on the way, we went. The receptionist seemed dumbfounded that we still showed up and was like OK well I guess you can join a tour that’s already started. Like we don’t live around the corner, we came all the way here for this and you’re telling us 15 minutes prior that it’s canceled and acting like that’s totally fine? The tour was brief, showed some memorabilia in a few rooms. Could’ve watched the same videos on YouTube for free. I considered it a complete waste of time and money besides being insulted by the customer service or lack thereof.
I had Ultimate Experience package and it wasnt great. First, you werent allowed 2 take pictures with your personal phone. You had to power it down and the staff it in case with a magnetic to secure your phone however you will get it back later until viewing concert hall. The ultimate package gets you a flash drive and badge.!! On the flash drive u can have 2-3 photos taken in studio A. Thats All. The tour is three hours all and they stretch until 12:40. This tour doesnt grant you excess upstairs area, downstairs nor the light beverage either. The Ultimate Experience wasnt ultimate. Your best bet is to purchase $50 tour.
Highly recommend the VIP tour! Very educational, insightful, and inspiring!!
It was amazing. Prince really loved music and everything involved with it. I liked Prince as a casual listener but now I have a deeper appreciation for him.
Nothing like I expected. I was totally shocked by the quaintness of Paisley Park. Perfectly ran for the times of covid. The staff is super professional. Wish I had pics to post but theyre not allowed through 95% of the Park.
What a place! did the vip tour and was so happy i did. you really do learn a lot about prince and where he called home. the staff are all great, from the outside security to the store cashier, everyone is happy you’re there. a must to do when you’re in minnesota!!
If your a fan of Prince or just like hearing stories behind famous albums, you have to visit Paisley Park. The staff is very friendly and knowledgeable of all things Prince and you really gain a new appreciation for how creative he really was and how he ate, slept and lived Music. Also makes for an excellent place to have a first date
Phenomenal does not do it justice! The tour guide was interesting and knew so much information. This is a must-do if you are in the area.
It was AMAZING, Tommy our guide was THE BEST!!! We did the ultimate experience and it was worth it, just for his knowledge and info!!!
Amazing experience! Check it out if youre in the area. Prince was such an amazing person and definitely loved learning more about how he worked and lived.
Arrived a fan of Prince, left as an even more appreciative one.Its easy to sense the energy, action, and monumental talent of the man, in fact all who utilized the state of the art opportunities, once you are within this facility.Basic tour = good.Guide = excellent.
A must for every Prince fan! What a special experience to be here at the holy ground of Paisley Park. You can feel Princes spirit in every corner of the building (which is much bigger than I thought). I did the 2-hour VIP tour and it was worth it! The staff is very friendly and we had Josh, who knew a lot about the building and Prince, as our guide. Our group consisted of no more than 10 people and they gave us enough time to view the spaces that we visited. No rush at all, what I appreciated. The two recording studios are impressive. Furthermore, a lot of artefacts such as costumes that Prince has worn, guitars, the engine from Purple rain, handwritten lyrics and script for the film, many, many gold and platinum records and awards. You are only allowed to take pictures in the last two rooms that you visit. When the tour is over take a look outside the premises (ask staff how to walk) at the fence where all messages from fans were posted after Princes death. At the end of the fence is a tunnel with graffiti. Very touching ....They have put a little piece of the fence inside the building, but please go outside and see the rest, it is very impressive and such a beautiful way to thank Prince. You wont regret it.
We had so much fun learning all of the awesome things about Prince! Would definitely recommend doing a tour. Also, love that they are respecting his privacy and only allow pictures in certain places! Amazing to think he was right in Minnesota a lot of his time! Once in a lifetime experience!
If you are a prince fan it is a disservice not to be at Paisley Park. The tour was amazing and my tour guide Tommy was incredible
The staff was beyond Minnesota Nice. Super accomodating and friendly, just like Prince would have wanted his best people to be.The building itself is a Mecca of inspiration, motivation and creativity.
Such an amazing experience! A must check out. Prince was such an amazing person and to learn about him here was an honor!
I had a great experience here look forward to coming back.
The house itself is awesome! However the staff there were extremely rude and indifferent. For example there are no signs posted to not smoke. I was in the parking lot and the security rudely told me to put it out. Or another example was I was reading a covid sign and security guard was 2 feet away asking why I stopped. When I explained I want to read it, he asked if I was going to be trouble. I will not be going back, !
Looked more like an office building than a house. They only allow 10 people per tour due to the Pandemic. Tours must be booked online prior to visit. We could only park and walk back to the bookstore which was at the entrance area. The bookstore was dark, not very well lit. Visitors did not have access to the stage area. The set up could have been much better.
Awesome experience, very clean inside.. tour girl was very good
To be in the house Prince lived in and to see all his memorabilia was awe inspiring. He was truly an artist, with so much talent and he was so smart. Too soon. #paisleypark
We had a great time today. We got to take some family from Texas, they really enjoyed it.
Better than I could have imagined!!Our tour guide did an amazing job taking us through Princes life and achievements in an intimate setting that allowed you to really make a personal connection. It was set up almost exactly how it was when he was there and the tour guide did a great job showing what he had done and what was added/changed since his passing. They did a good job pointing out that Prince had always wanted to turn Paisley Park into a museum and showed what work he had done to put that into place while he was still around. Overall a great experience and a great look into the life of an amazing artist!
Just ok, I imagine its better for huge Prince fans, but I found it very average
So nice! Cant take pics inside but thats ok . The guard at the gate was so helpful to tell us where to get tickets . So so so sooooo cool on the inside ! I enjoyed it very much !
I love Paisely Park. I made my first visit last month. I can not wait to make another visit soon! Go Prince Go!
The home, office and studio, of the late and Greatest entertainer, artist, Minnesotan, child advocate, family advocate, a man of many talents. PRINCE ROGER NELSONITS A MUST SEE! A PART OF HISTORY!Due to Covid-19, his home is currently closed. For the safety of us all. However, his online shop is still open for purchases.Rest in heaven Prince
This is a must see if you visit Minnesota! I’m a long time Prince fan and I wish I had visited sooner! Our tour guide Tony was AMAZING!
Most phenomenal experience anyone could imagine. Paisley Park gives you insight into one of the greatest artist of our time. From the time you enter the space a feeling of serene calmness comes over you. You also feel the excitement in the various rooms taking you on a musical journey of Princes genius. The staff are friendly and knowledgeable.
A truly magical place, you cant hold back your tears... Rest in Peace Prince
The most beautiful and heart warming place on earth. Paisley Park will forever be in your heart.
Great place to visit. Amazing talent.
Lots of history here from one of the most reclusive and talented musicians. Sad that they dont allow photos until the end. Seems like a 2910 mindset.
You actually feel connected with Prince while youre here Im going back as soon as possible everyone was wonderful the tour guide Josh was wonderful take the VIP experience its the best
Tomi, our tour guide was phenomenal! I was not a huge Prince fan but this tour was outstanding and is a must do! The musical genius and history is easily appreciated. I recommend going soon while they still have a lot preserved from when he lived in the house. We plan to revisit in a couple of years when they start releasing the unreleased music and videos. (Already planning out trip back)! We did the Ultimate VIP Experience and it was worth every dime. I cant imagine seeing less. Oh and we got to play ping pong on Princes table and hold one of his guitars.
Came out here on a road trip with my dad and the tour did not disappoint. Although two tickets was $105 we still enjoyed it and left like we got our money’s worth. Our tour guides name was Marshall, and he was absolutely awesome. You could tell he was passionate and knowledgeable about everything that we saw and he was able to answer all questions we had. Hopefully management sees this!!
Highly recommend the tour to anyone. Even if youre not familiar with Prince this is a downright fascinating place to visit. You really feel like youre stepping inside the mind of the musician as you walk through his home. You can see his artistic vision on display throughout. It is much larger than I anticipated. Getting to see so many pieces of memorabilia in one location was amazing. The tour guides do an excellent job as well.
Such a unique place full of Prince energy. Incredible and kind staff. An amazing experience.
Prince is impressive. A musicians musician.Staff super friendly and knowledgeable.Thank you
Being a lifelong Prince fan, I couldnt possibly visit Minneapolis and not pay my respects to music royalty. Paisley Park did not disappoint. We took the lengthy VIP tour and found it to be very informative, but also quite moving. Passing through the halls and spending time in the very spaces that turned out arguably the best music of our time was remarkable. It was an experience I will never forget! Just a heads up for future visitors, it does make for a long day, especially if youre traveling in from downtown Minneapolis. Make sure to eat and hydrate properly before you go, and definitely wear comfortable shoes.
Acetate recording on site. Pricey entrance and drinks. Check the website for album release deals. It was very cool to see the purple ones concert recording space and home. The man was a genius and he created a compound specifically to add to his prolific catalog. The space itself is surprisingly far from Minneapolis so plan on a cab or shuttle from a transit station. 100% worth the price of admission.
I felt the spirit of Prince while I was inside. It was everything I imagined it would be and more. I did the VIP experience but will definitely come back to do the Ultimate Experience.
It represents his hard work, his passion, he help many people from recording their music, supply jobs for many people and he is still continues to help others while he is gone by having a museum. He represents Minnesota, he was proud to be growing up here. Its so easy to fall in love with this place. I wish I could work there. I could never get tired of going there. I will go back again someday.
No words can describe the feelings you have from visiting this beautiful place.
Lets start with WOW! Truly amazing place. First, expect to have your cell phone locked up in a carrying case they give you. You have it unlocked at the end of the tour. The staff was very knowledgeable. We took the VIP tour and it lasted 2 hours. It was not long enough! From seeing his office as it was untouched (make sure to see what he was reading) to the different studios was beyond cool. They have various outfits, cars, pianos, guitars, to hand written song lyrics on display. We actually plan to go back. It is worth every penny if you are a true fan.
Bucket list for all Prince fans. Very knowledgeable staff. Very moving and emotional tour
My husband brought me to visit the place where Prince created his legendary music for my birthday! This was the best birthday gift ever. The energy in this place is astounding. Standing in studio B was amazing! Make sure to pay for the personal tour, it is so worth it. Our tour guide was very knowledgeable about Prince and you could tell she was a true fan.
It was a fun and exciting tour. So many amazing things to learn about Prince and his life in this studio.
I have always loved Prince! Our tour guide Tomi was fantastic! He is an obvious fan that loved him as well! He had the best stories. When he told them, you felt like you were there! Loved every second of it! Do the ultimate tour...amazing!
The website is a place that I frequently visit,as a lifelong Prince fan i find a lot of comfort there. I regularly check for new music or merchandise that I want. If youre a huge fan like i am then I recommend this website to you. I will purchase everything that is released from there once Im alive. The material being released is going to out live me but Im personally collecting to pass down to my family. I hope that one day someone would be able to enjoy his music as much as I have in a lifetime. This site will not disappoint the true fan or even a casual listener.
Dream place for fans of Prince! Must see! Even the free things you can do are great.
Great place to visit. Great memories of an Artist
The tour is 90 minute the guide was very informative
Not terribly exciting. I didn’t have a bad time and enjoyed what I saw. But you really need to be a huge fan to find this worthy of time and money.
Made me appreciate his talent and gift more than ever! Staff were extremely friendly and knowledgeable!
Fabulous tour. For a lifetime follower of Prince it was my first pilgrimage to Paisley Park. We brought our 8 year old with us and we love it. When she is older we will do the longer tours. Just wish that Prince had been home himself would have loved to meet him. Even though I am 6.3 he would have kicked my behind in basketball.
I love Prince, this website provides outstanding products, well priced and deliver worldwide
The tour was absolutely the highlight of my vacation. We purchased the VIP tickets for $100.00. The next time we will purchase the Ultimate VIP experience tour. The price is totally worth it. You leave with a different feeling; knowing prince as an artist and on an intimate level. Also, please please please order from Princes kitchen. The Pancakes are to die for !!! Be on time and no pics allowed on the tour, only in the gift shop. Over all an awesome experience !!!!
Such an amazing experience. Well worth the money. We did the basic tour knowing we would want to go back and do the more involved tours. Our guide was phenomenal. We will be back for the VIP for sure.
It was amazing and I loved it. 100% recommended!!!
Made a visit to Paisley Park on August 17th. I took the ultimate tour. It lasted for three hours. We got to listen to some unreleased music of Prince. Also, we were able to tour several of the music studios where he recorded, as well as other famous artists such as Madonna and 3rd Eye girl. We also did The Paisley Park after Dark. This tour was very brief lasted about 1 hour. Then you got to go into the New Power Generation Club and dance to some of Princes most popular music. I would definitely recommend this tour, especially if youre a Prince fan. The ultimate tour price was $130 and The Paisley Park after dark tour was $60.
It was great being in the creative space seeing where Prince made alot of his famous hits. I now understand why no cameras were allowed inside. Besides the privacy aspect, we would spend more time looking behind a lens to get that perfect picture rather than just enjoying being in the moment to create a new memory
Paisley Park was a great experience for my family, and we enjoyed every part of the tour. Our guide, Chad was excellent. I recommend every Prince fan to experience it at least once.
Paisley Park was AMAZING. A mind blowing experience for a Prince fan.
I did the VIP tour and I would do it again and again! If you are a fan (and even if you arent), you really should stop through and take the tour!
Wish it was open. Will be back after Covid
Awesome! Loved experiencing Princes vibe
Brought back a lot of memories of my younger days. When Prince was talked about, he was discribed as a Genius a kid only a year older than me, playing at First Avenue.
Paisley Park was simply AMAZING. Prince, in my opinion, was the greatest artist that ever lived and to see his home along with some of his creations, memorabilia from his movies and items that he cherished...it was surreal. I cant express my gratitude enough to the family for giving us the opportunity to have a glimpse into the life of the GREATEST artist thats ever lived. Hes truly missed.
I just went to the gift shop, it was cool.
Awesome!!! I Give Thanks to Tomi our tour guide. I learned so much about My Beautiful Prince. It made me appreciate him even more. Thank you just isnt enough. I shall return after doing more studying on the Great One. A Genius always leaves you wanting to know more.
What can I say about my experience at Paisley Park. It was off the chain. I cried as soon as I stepped into Paisley Park. If you’re a Prince fan this is the place to visit. His work, his ability to compose music, arrange play a variety of instruments. The displays of his wardrobe, his guitars and pianos. His style of life and the way he lived. It was amazing. We were able to record in one of his studios. It’s something you have to experience yourself. You won’t be disappointed at all. I’m planning to return for the ultimate tour. Thank you Prince and Paisley Park for a day I will always remember.
Expensive but as a Prince fan a great experience. Unassuming white building. No pictures from inside (its not allowed, they even lock your phone in a pouch) but a little outside there is Graffiti Bridge where people leave messages for him.
Took the General Admission tour, and it was fabulous! I would love to do a longer tour if I get another chance to visit the area! Theres so much to see and take in.
It was a beautiful eye opening experience into the life of a wise and greatest musician.
Such an amazing experience, a must for any Prince fan!
Wonderful experience. The Spirit of Prince is still there. Place gave me chills .
Very interesting tour. Never been huge Prince fan, but tour was totally worth while.
Best music ever recording here. Visiting on 9/11/2020 :)
We had a blast at the Ultimate Experience tour at Paisley Park yesterday. If you can request Tomi as a tour guide, do it! He is extremely knowledgeable, a true fan, reads the audience well and did an amazing job providing interesting contextual details and personal stories. Everything he chose to explain served a purpose and added substance to the tour... in other words, no filler. Some guides drone on, but even with technical details inside the studios, Tomi has a way about him and just makes the space come alive. Everybody was wrapped up in the experience. What an awesome Christmas gift this was!
Loved seeing Prince Museum and his wardrobes and the fence his fans decorated outside his home
PROS: prince was a legend, the space is amazing, so many great records were made there. CONS: need more access, expensive, poor lighting, still working out the links.... But if you are in Minnesota, dont miss it !
