Lovely hike. A must if you are in the Centralia area. Be aware that most hikers arent wearing masks and it isnt possible to maintain 6 feet distance while passing each other on a path.

Peaceful, quiet, and right next to downtown Centralia. Short hike, approximately 2 miles, through a network of narrow but maintained trails takes you to beautiful views of the city, elevation from 500 feet.

Such a lovely park to hike and sit and be in nature. Lots of choice for routes and length of time to be out. And such great benches! I ran into a man who was, by volunteering, making another bench for the route nearest the top. He found the wood lower down on the trail and was hauling it up to put together as a completed bench for all to use. It was nice to hear how much the park means to people ♡

Visited on a Saturday and the park sign says open from 8am - dusk, contrary to the hours on Google. Pretty cool place for hiking, decently steep trails make for a good challenge. Would rate it 5 stars except for the weird experience with the tweaker laying in the trail.

Im enjoying myself here with family a brother from our bloodshed during his crucifixion, for we shall bless this day all greatness and heartness, for I love all equally and shamefully. I love my children, for Im ready to be proclaimed to the slaughter of our hearts in the waters of where it all started...

Not maintained. Good place to get muddy but horrible place to walk a dog in the wet season January - December. If you can make it on a dry day it is a good dog walk but no play areas. Not a great walk for little kids, a lot of steep and slippery climbing required. Definitely do not bring a disabled person unless youre up to carrying them over Hill and Dale.

Full disclosure. I grew up under the shadow of Seminary Hill and spent much of my youth and young adulthood hiking its trails, rambling its glades. The Friends of Seminary Hill have kept this Natural Area as the world has changed around. Its easy to imagine you are miles from town even though you are not far. Peaceful, natural, renewing. A place to breathe. A sacred space.

2014.08.09: Great stop along the way. This place was deserted, and felt prehistoric, with giant ferns and moss-covered trees. There were several little trails snaking through the woods along the sometimes steep hillsides. The google directions to the place were wrong, though. You can also hear the trains roll by pretty often, with a very loud whistle!

Beautiful and serene. I like the primitive trails and varied terrain-- lots of hills. I am concerned about the number of homeless that encamp here. Their debris is littered throughout the woods. The trails are slick and boggy in the winter, spring, and early summer.
