Beautiful trails to walk/bike/run around, four different adult fitness jungle gyms, and some very nice views. I dont fish, but there looks to be some good spots for fishing as well.

This lake used to be beautiful, but the main entrance is so over grown that it is easily missed.

Great little suburban fishing hole with trails and shelters. Close by the freeway and a shopping district, but youd never know. Not a lot of shady spots yet, but everything is clean and accessible

Great walking-biking trails. Quiet and beautiful.

Decent little park. Grass is kept mowed to a good level. Fishing is okay, you can catch bass and panfish, but nothing big. Ample parking, some benches, a shelter, two docks for kayaks or canoes, and pit toilets. The toilets arent well maintained, but theyre better than nothing. Decent bike/jogging trail, with a little bike maintenance post where there are some general tools anyone can use if they need a quick fix. There are a lot of geese, and they poop everywhere like geese do. No swimming, although the water probably wouldnt be great for it anyways, there are a lot of weeds in the water. Good place to go if you want to use some kind of wake-less boat, and catch some small fish, or go for a jog/bike ride. Not what I would consider a picnic type park though.

An enjoyable park in the city of Cedar Falls. It is smaller, with some concrete paths and water, popular for fishing. An easy, pleasant outing, albeit with limited options.

The park is a good place to go for many different reasons. You can go there to exercise, run or just walk the trails. Its nice place to have a picnic either by throwing a blanket on the ground by the lake or use the shelter. I shouldnt say this but it is actually a pretty good place to fish. but you got to be smarter than fish. I always enjoying myself at Prairie Lakes Park. Give the air conditioner a break and get some fresh air in your lungs.

Me and my son had a good time fishing there. No keepers today but still had a blast!!

Great place to walk, jog, or ride a bike. Very visible and safe. Connects into the larger network of trails in the Waterloo/Cedar Falls area. Youll see people fishing, boating, and kayaking. This is a no wake lake.

Great park. The main feature are two loops of walking/biking paths that go around the 2 main lakes. Lots of room to run and have fun, but no real park features like playgrounds or bathrooms (there are outhouses...). We enjoy going on walks and looking for mulberries in the early summer.I see lots of people fishingthere, but Im not a fisher, so no comment.

Just a very nice place to go. Whether youre walking, biking, or just want to drop a pole in the water, its a nice place to go. They have public restrooms and a city welcome center within walking distance. We walked a lap around and it added up to 2.6 miles total. Beautiful.

Really nice recreation area. Nice bike trail loops that connect with the whole bike trail system in Cedar Falls. Parking near by, as well as a bathroom right there. There are also the fitness areas on the side where you can add cross-training to your workout if you want.

Great little place for a picnic or a day of fishing. Plenty of bluegill, crappie, and a few nice bass to boot!

Great trails that hook up with the rest of the city bike trails. Nice large loop on its own.

We walk the recreation trail often. It has very little ice on its surface. Good exercise.

Ice seems to be forming, should not be long before it is fishable. North lake you need a trout stamp to fish as this is a stocked lake. South Lake offers panish, bass and catfish. Nothing huge but decent numbers.
