This nature reserve was really nice. We had a large group and the staff was great. We got to see and learn about some of the animals up close. Very clean. Went for a hike on one of the trails and we saw a deer. Highly recommend checking this place out if you have kids or need an inexpensive activity!

This is a great place to introduce kids to nature. Lots of places to go hiking and exploring. The center has many activities and tools for learning. The library is a great place to find a book about nature. My kids loved everything here and we cant wait to go back.

Came here for a class field trip. Staff was very nice and were able to keep the attention and control of a bunch of crazy 1st graders! Lots of trails. Nice nature center.

Very relaxing walk. Lots of flowers out in May. Got stared at by some deer, lots of squirrels running around, and many birds singing.They are reworking some of the trail So you do have to go down by the main area with the sugar shack to get to most trails.

I cannot believe this place exists in the middle of Cedar Valley! Its so serene and dense inside. I just visited yesterday and most trees had turned to yellow and oh my, was it a sight! It has beautiful streams running, a cute little bridge over it and trails amidst the tall trees, its everything I had hoped for and more. I regret not visiting it before. And I plan to visit it much more. I cant say enough about this place.

Awesome nature center! The new facility is wonderful and provides great views of the Cedar River valley area. Walking trails through the woods are great year-round. Wide variety of wildlife and vegetation. Unique place located within the urban area. A true gem of the Cedar Valley.

Maple Syrup Festival. Wonderful breakfast, learned about making Maple Syrup, and explored the new additions to the building. The turtle tanks and the classrooms were my family favorites. Giggled at a turtle doing morning yoga. Great way to start our Sunday!

Love Hartman Reserve. Been going there my whole life. Hadnt been there in about two years and went on my birthday a week ago. Still is the one place where I can decompress and just relax and leave all my stressors behind.

Beautiful place, I love coming here whenever I get the chance. This place is great to go for long runs and bike rides throughout the day. I also come here occasionally for fishing after it goes raining.

Took our Cub Scout Pack out for a hike and had a great time. The new Interpretive center was not open but it looks great. The trails are well defined and easily walked. Great place. Has hidden Geo Cashes also.

Easy to get to

A great and diverse area to get away from noises of the city. However, there has been a lot of development done around the natural vegetation which can take away from the outdoor experience.

Hartman Reserve does an amazing job at educating the Cedar Valley and surrounding areas on nature and conservation. They also provide great programming for all people in the Cedar Valley.

A very pleasant location in a less-than-enthralling area (Cedar Valley). The new visitor center is quite nice. They offer terrific educational programs.

Nice quiet park with well maintained hiking trails. Its a nice place to take the kids. They are currently remodeling the visitor center so we didnt get to go in. Looks nice from outside though. Lots of kid friendly activities.

Cool natural area tucked right in town.

We love coming here and have for years. The trails are wonderful and plentiful. The nature center has a few live animals and fun things for kids to see and touch.

My 9 year old daughter did a couple camps there this summer and absolutely loved them! So much to do, she had a great experience.

This is my very favorite place in the Cedar Valley. They have great trails and programs for kids/families. I love disappearing into the woods on their ski trails in the winter. In fact, thats where I am right now!

Went to a wedding there. The outdoor surroundings are great. Only shortcomings is the lack of adequate parking. The new building is very nice with a kitchen if needed.

Ive never been in the nature center building, but the trails around in are very nice for a quiet hike, or jog.

Very nice trails that are well maintained. There were lots of mosquitos due to the proximity of the river and some small ponds, but other than that I would recommend hiking here any day of the week!

2 Troop Boys were able to get Volunteer hours at the Hartman Reserve Hike for requirements.

The ui s place is really really cool they do walks and teach kids about nature and animals that live there in the park that do projects inside the bld they have some exhibits a really cool place to take your kids

I just went on a field trip from m school the walk and tour was great i loved kaiacking fishing and more hepeople there are very helpful
