Steep trail so be careful. Go all the way to the bottom and then turn right to get to Chimney beach otherwise your visit one of the other pretty beaches at the bottom and have to backtrack

Perfect day. Very few people.

This is a must see location on Tahoes North East shore. Quick and easy hike down to the water and back.

Nice little trail offering wonderful views of the lake almost throughout.

There needs to be more signs! This was my first time to this area. A guide book mentioned there were picnic tables and restrooms. Parking is a concern, the lot at the trailhead has about 15 spots, one handicap and was full by 8:30. Most visitors park precariously on the side of the road for miles in each direction. 2 Porta Potties are available, restroom closed. There is one trail sign, we followed it bit didnt arrive at Chimney Beach, but went south instead to Secret Cove, after going down steps to the waters edge. This is posted as a nude beach, and many visitors were sans-clothing. It was a beautiful cove and we enjoyed out visit, but got lost returming to the parking lot because no trails are marked.
