Conveniently located near the University of West Georgia, the Townsend Center offers stadium seating, a well-lit stage, and a quality sound system that never seems its being blasted straight regardless of where you sit. What is wonderful is that the theater hosts events ranging from the arts to important community wellness presentations.

Such a beautiful facility. The two auditoriums are wonderfully close to the performers and the staff very friendly. Parking is adequate and close.

Dinosaur Zoo Live was fantastic. My little guy had so much fun.

Grand daughter danced in a Nutcracker performance, perfect venue for this time of year. Pretty little Russian Peppermint.

Love this theater! The props were amazing! I was actually blown away by how detailed everything was..... I was invited by Cierra Byrd and drove and hour and half in a storm.... Hurricane Micheal to be exact just to see this show! I was so thankful for all the cast whom took the time to meet my daughter and possibly for pictures afterwards! The screen play was well written & very funny! Cierra did such an amazing job on the show by also promoting it! Im coming back a second time with my whole family because it was that good!!!!

Went here on a field trip with my daughter to see the math magician, it was a great show! Nice seats, nice staff.

Great venue with plenty of parking. My daughter had a 2 day dance competition here & it was very easy to get to & easy to find food nearby.

Its the only place on campus to see live plays done beautifully by talented college students. Each year they perform a number of awesome plays and they are always courteous of students who are coming for extra credit opportunities. Also university of West Georgia students get in to most plays for free. So there is no reason to pass it by.

I had the opportunity to see Evil Dead the Musical - presented by the UWG theatre troupe and it was fantastic. The theatre is very large and open with great parking and staff. If you live in the area, I highly recommend dropping by some time when something youre interested in is playing. The ticket-buying experience is a cinch online, and UWG students can attend for free!

Acoustics were good, but the seating was unsatisfactory.

Always check ahead on the website. Lots of fun shows for great prices but they often have down periods when nothing much is showing.

Great theatre on the West Georgia campus. We have enjoyed several concerts and ballets here.

Venue ticket details were for UWG. Thank goodness for a sweet student that was able to direct us. Venue was ok.

Great musicals performed by students at UWG

The theatre is nice. Its very intimate and very clean. Ive never had a problem with ticketing or anything like that. BUT as a student at UWG I will say the the ushers (also students) are either poorly trained or lazy. I have had people talking, playing on their phones, listening to music, or even talking on the phone and the ushers do nothing about it. Its as if the ushers simply do not care or are afraid of telling people to leave. It doesnt sound like much bit it is so annoying that I cannot give the Townsend Center a good review.
