This is a well rounded skate park! Im a fan of the coping and ledges! their is two huge bowls for vert off to the side... It has nice flow in the street section, a stair set, and a giant quarter pipe wall!

Very nice local pool where you can rent a lane for an hour. They have 20 lanes available and the setup is quite nice and reasonably priced. Make sure to schedule your lane a week in advance as lanes are disappearing quickly. They also have a smaller pool where you can rent a pen or come with your kids.

Skate park is fun, but can get crowded. If you like Vert, the bowls are usually the least crowded part of the park.

Cleanest restroom, with seat covers. Immaculate landscaping, every sport amenity you can think of.

My son swims with North Coast Aquatics which utilizes the the pool at Alga Norte. Really an amazing place to swim.

This is a really cool party with multiple playgrounds for kids of different address. Theres also a water play area where kids were having a lot of fun.Our friends rented one of the covered table areas for a birthday party. The shelter was close to one of the younger play area where our son had a blast. The play areas are covered with rubber flooring so its nice and soft. There are swings, slides, climbing bars, and wooden equipment.

Love taking our kids to swim there. Currently you can rent a large square in the pool for 45 min. Its the best

This is my go to skatepark, I’ve been coming here since 5th grade and it hasn’t let me down, and i’m in 10th now. It’s my favorite skatepark and there’s a skate shop near the park too, Urban Ave Boardshop just up the road in bressi. This park has never let me down, and it’s a great park to just go to with friends, hang out, or just practice.

Love this place! Best sandwiches, best breakfasts, and the steak fries! Institution. Hurry before they get kicked out for gentrification

Well maintained park. The soccer fields are in great condition, though I wish they didnt have so much of the black, toxic filler. The separated big dog/little dog runs is a great idea.

This park is always well kept. It is big with a large playground, community pool and baseball fields. Plenty of benches to gather around with the family. I live coming to this park.

Nice park with a big dog park. There’s a community pool and it’s quite big. The dog park is nice too but it’s bark, wish they had just DG or grass. There’s always something going on at the field. Plenty of space for everyone and plenty of parking. There’s a play ground for kids too.

Badass park but who thpught of the current covid rules needs to rethink....we can social distance on the basketball court as well as the bench n bbq area but U CANNOT SOCIAL DISTANCE IN A POOL...its all the same water....really really poor thinking...hope u make it fair for all

It is a really nice park. Coming down the road I thought I was going to find stores and restaurants but it is a park. It is very complete let me tell you. The först thing I have seen is the kids playground. Then I notice the other building and the have a couple of sport pools. Theres an information office with two ladies, really nice. I was able to find the bathroom bear the basketball court at the end of the buildings. They are really nice, clean and have the amenities necessary. I also see a baseball field and maybe also tennis and theres another one I dont reach to see. You can even cook here!! Theres a huge parking structure. Skateboarding space and a dog park that I havent seen but this lady with a dog told me it is somewhere near the basketball court along the path in that area. Seems like they have a lot of activities!! Best place if you live in Bresi Ranch!

Went here for the dog park and i was impressed. They had 2 sections for the separation of large and small dogs. There was lots of small things to keep dogs entertained including a little tunnel and small ramps. Vibe was laid-back and there was definitely more large dogs than small when I went. The only complaint I had was the gated entrance to get inside the park. It was a bit unorganized and Im afraid of a dog getting loose somehow because of other people opening the doors while your still in there. On the other side of the park there was a skate park which was pretty cool too.

Nice park! Well kept. Has 3 fields to play ball & has a dog park too. There are bleachers with overhead canopies for cover from sun & rain. Nice playground for children with playground equipment. Restrooms, water fountains, and picnic areas. Nice & clean, and very attractive. You will enjoy Alga Norte Community Park!

Nice facilities. I bring my family here for different events or to just hang out. Little hard to find if youre not familiar with the area. Overall, very well kept.

This is a great newer big park. Awesome pool, awesome soccer fields. Good doggy park too. A must visit newer park.

Had a great time in the park. We used one of the shaded bench areas for a family reunion. Wonderful time. The grass is plentiful for children and lets to play. Overall very well maintained and the picnic areas are large enough to hold large groups!

Too many scooter kids on weekends. Not very many people know that there is etiquette for taking your turn. This causes many near misses and/or crashes. There is a blind corner going down to the main quarter pipe so watch out for rippers flying through the park. Overall a fairly good place to learn basic park maneuvers but too small for the area.

Great park, one of the nicest weve ever been to! They have a world-class skate park and aquatic center, great playgrounds for little ones and bigger kids, and even a track to run.Not a ton of green space, but what they have is definitely useful and usually not overcrowded.

All the trails and streets surrounding/ leading to this park are areas where you can walk, run, totally enjoy outside. Most is well-lighted in staying only on streets. I carry a flashlight due to areas with shadows so I see if stepping off the path etc. I have yet to see any young or mature snakes. But, I foot or run step extra hard to make sure I dont--when there isnt traffic. This is the first place I have ever seen more than one coyote and heard the coyote chorus.

I have driven by all of the Carlsbad parks hundreds of times and am always mesmerized in what I notice. The parks are well-taken care of in every regard. Each park has people of all ages enjoying them all year around. There is so much at this park--fully using all the land so well. It clearly is a highly-supported and beautiful park -- able to suit a variety of outdoor interests and activities.

The dog park is fantastic separated by size, if its wanted, and most people who bring their dogs seem friendly. Some spots dont get as much sun so there are dirty/muddy areas. Not much shade for the people to be in.

Very spacious! Dog gated areas, childrens playground and many other recreational areas. Plenty people running and walking. Very safe too.

Dylan wrote a song with the words, “if wild dogs run free, then what must be must be”. Well they don’t get to run to many places but they get to run at this park and have a ball.They split it up with Under and over 35 pounds so my little critters enjoy themselves. Water and shade are provided and welcome.

I think this is one of the best parks in all of San Diego County. We mostly go there for the pool. But they have an awesome playground and a skate park a dog park and sports fields. Without a doubt one of the best pool facilities in the county.

The pool is good. The lap Lane can be challenging some time because kid like to play around in them. Otherwise the water is warm. There is always a breeze through the valley. Great shade coverage both parking and on the pool deck.

We spend a Lot of time here for the play area, skate park and pool. Love it

Park has everything. Cant wait until its all open again!

I love this pool. This is an outdoor pool. They have a big kiddie section that is heated and has seats so you can watch your kids. They have a splash pad section and a Jacuzzi that is fenced in. They offer classes and have A diving board and open lanes for practice swimming. They also have outside showers to rinse. The bathrooms have dressing rooms and a swimsuit drainer. They have 2 family restrooms and a food section. 5 dollars per adult swimmer and 2 for adult spectators.

Im very impressed with the space. There was a lot to do at the park, and there were a lot of kids and parents there taking full advantage of a beautiful day there. The equipment is in great shape. There is a lot of available seating and lawn space. The playground area had a great flow to it. If I lived nearby, I would go here all the time.

Beautiful park, my kids love it! But when its crowded its kinda annoying avoiding skaters on the side walk or driving through the parking lot.

Beautiful park with one of the best aquatic centers in California. But while the facility is beautiful, the management is less than effective. It appears that kids swim lessons have been moved to the lap pool, and it is now next to impossible for an adult coming to swim laps to find an open lane. There is also a very nice and sizable Jacuzzi--which has now been shut down for maintenance for several months. The place closes very early every day--particularly on weekends. If the facility is going to be booked solid with teams and lessons the entire week, hours should be expanded so that time can be set aside for lap swimmers. The general impression one gets is that the place is now being managed to generate revenue rather than to provide the community with services. Maybe the adult lap swimmers need to create a team and pay extra $ to reserve the facility!

Close to my home. Large park. Great jungle gym. Skate park. Public pool. Dog park. Baseball fields. Grills and awnings. Lots of open space. Not the most beautiful park, but very functional.

This place is amazing!!! Staff is friendly, the pools are huge and they have plenty of bathrooms and showers. Super clean also.

I could go to the this park everyday. It’s always a pleasant experience. It’s clean with well mannered families and the ice cream truck will come now and then. We always feel safe here and it’s the kids’ favorite park.For the dog park ... it’s clean (mulch), friendly people, but the light are off by 8:00pm. It’s empty dark.

Great ball fields and superb swimming pools. This is a state of the art facility that can handle large summer crowds at the ool (no P) and busy soccer/baseball game days.The pool does have a lot of chlorine but probably necessary and there are great classes to ramp up you aquatic skill sets.No high dive too!

Nice park with a jungle gym in a sand pit. Theres not much shade from the sun so unless its a cool day it does get hot. Theres an area with tables and benches for picnics.

Weve only been for the baseball fields and dog park, which are both good. Im not a huge fan of turf fields, but have to admit theyre useful for practicing after its rained. The playground looked nice. We need to take advantage of the pools (which Ive heard much praise about) and the skate park.

Park was so fun to skate and they keep lights on at night. Also get good opstickles

Great park for kids. The bathrooms could have been cleaned a bit more, but the park itself was great. There is also a skate park and plenty of features for the kids. We will be back.

Overall great experience. Bug clean pool with lots of lanes for lap swimming. Lockers and showers on site so makes for easy lunch time workouts.

Huge park. Lots of space with one of the better dog parks in the area

I take my 2 Grandchicks here every time I visit. They live only a few streets away and it is a wonderful clean and safe place to help exercise the children. Padded grounding in playground area helps with any falls and sculpted sand play areas are so nice. Lots of running room on a huge green manicured field provides lots of running races, tag and ball activities. The large pool complex is next to the field. It is AMAZING with multiple pools for everyone! Please take yourself (and your children and dog) to this park if you can. Yes, they even have a Dog Walking Park next to the soccer/baseball areas...

In terms of parks this place has everything: grills, tables, shade, a big and little kids playground, sand box, soccer fields, basketball courts, a community pool. I live near here and the only thing I think might be better if it had a rec area open at night for kids.
