This is the training facility for CPD. Its also where the city water wells are. The track is well maintained, about .25 miles around. The West Branch trailhead is here. 3/4mi to the 38th St NW crossing at the railroad, and 4mi to President Mckinleys tomb (theres a gas station at 2 miles, water etc). The park is a bit rundown, it used to be ball fields. No kid-friendly equipment, very limited parking, NO RESTROOMS, and no actual covered bridge. It borders a quiet apartment complex on one side and a cemetery on the other (its noisy around Midnight). The local tornado siren is here, so Mondays at noon...
One of our fav places to walk
Its pretty good little wildlife reserve. It was fun to watch all the frogs and all the and every now and then there was a critter or two I have a little petting farm.
Beautiful nature preserve!
Nice place to spend an afternoon. Plenty to see and well kept.
Its really nice anytime you can get in touch with nature its a beautiful place to be
Love this trail & scenery! Great memories!
I like the crushed limestone trail. Good thing I was on foot because I wouldnt know where to park if I had a car. The entrance is not very welcoming.
Just a path not really a park maybe some old rusted ball field
Good nature walk.

Huge piles or logs sawdust and rubble is an eyesore. This used to be a beautiful park.
