We booked an escape room but ended up cancelling since they were so far behind. Makes sense that if people are late they lose their spot or have their time shortened due the their mistake. Why make others pay for them being late? They did refund us, but could be managed better in those situations. Maybe will try again in future.
I bought the tickets to the Serial Killer room as a surprise for my boyfriend and it could not have been a better surprise. It was his and Is first time doing an escape room and the woman (sorry forgot her name) was really nice and informative prior to and after going to the room. We are already planning our next trip to do another room with friends this time. I highly recommend it. The room was set up nicely and some clues were not easy to find at all which is perfect!

Extremely disappointed by the lack of customer service. We scheduled an 8:30pm appointment on a Saturday night during October, so the place was insanely crowded outside with people waiting for the Factory of Terror. We arrived and had to drive around the full lots asking where we park for Escape Canton. We got parked and arrived at the door to find it locked. We waited outside, banged on the door, called multiple times, left messages and finally had to wait in the haunted house line to ask if someone could let us in. A very unfriendly staff member tried to make excuses for why no one was around. We were let in the room to sign the waivers and were left alone for 15 minutes while she tried to find someone to run our room for us. At 8:50 a group came out of their room and we had to wait for them to wash their hands and take a picture before we could enter our room. A new woman kept apologizing for the wait and saying, “there should have been someone here at the desk. There should have been someone here.” But that does not excuse poor customer service. No discount or free service was extended to us, despite our clear disappointment. After the group left we continued to wait while a woman and now a new male employee consulted together at the desk. One positive is that we had originally scheduled 6 people, but only 5 came, so they did issue a refund for that even though their policy would not have normally allowed it. When we were finally escorted back, we walked through a good portion of the haunted house which we DID NOT want to do. When we walked in the “room,” the ceiling was made of mesh, so all the loud sounds, screams, etc. were heard in the room. At 9:00 we told them we were done and requested a full refund. If we had known this was what we signed up for, we would have chosen a different date when it was not a Halloween attraction weekend. They need to do a better job of informing their customers on what they are paying for and how the experience will go. I understand the busy weekends, but the staff should be prepared to run both businesses at the same time if they are going to offer both attractions. It was very disappointing as we have been to multiple escape rooms in the past and the customer service here is by far the worst we have experienced. We will not be back.

It was the most fun I have ever had. Good activity for the whole family, or business group. I did Outbreak/Boiler room, and Serial Killer room, and both were absolutely amazing! I cannot wait to go back and do the other four rooms they have. They have six in total, two hour long ones, and four 30 minutes! I want to do them all!

Very disappointed with my visit to Escape Canton.We were locked out of the building to begin with. Someone from the haunted house eventually let us in after calling and banging on the door for 5-10 minutes.There did not seem to be enough staff to run both the haunted house and the escape rooms. (Which are apparently run by the same people? The website made it seem like they were independent of each other) We had to wait an additional 15-20 minutes before being attended to.You have to walk a mile through the haunted house to get to the rooms, and you can’t hear each other talk once you are inside due to the hanged house noise and a mesh-type ceiling on the room. They also did not have the room reset at all for our pre scheduled appointment.We ended up leaving without doing our room for all these reasons. We did get a full refund, but we will not be coming back. There are much better escape rooms and businesses out there...
Nice place. Fun and memorable times with friends. Good puzzles. Ive only removed one star because a group of us have done 3 of these now.. but the third one was not reset properly and we lost around 10 minutes of our 30 minutes total and we were not given any time back. The power was not connected to some of the puzzles causing us to have to try it many times before they noticed and wait for them on the phone to get instructions on how to resolve the issue. So, we just stood around and waited while burning up valuable time. We were seconds short on completing the final puzzle and were deemed a fail even though we got shorted on time for doing the puzzles correctly. I feel bad reporting this, but its true. I still recommend this place.
We did the outbreak escape room and was absolutely horrible. A couple of the things didn’t work and seemed like the person I. There just wanted to help get us out it’s giving us answers. The worst too. That we have done. Don’t go.

I went with a group of 6 to do the Serial Killer room. This was our first escape room, and were already planning another! Our game master (Michelle, I think was her name) was super helpful when explaining everything! It was opening night for the Factory of Terror, so we did have to wait a bit for the staff to let us into the building and to start our game. The actual escape room was also a bit small for 6 people, and there wasnt always something for everyone to do. However, none of this had a negative effect on our experience! There are a couple of puzzles to solve in the waiting room, which kept us plenty busy until our game started. We managed to escape the room with only a few hints! Well definitely be returning to try the other rooms!

Overall it was a cool experience, however the zombie room is not big enough, nor does it have enough to do at one time for 10 people, 8 should be the max. We had a group of 7 they added a group of 4 to us, then while in the room it was so crowded on average 3 or more people are left standing around bored because of how few things there are to do at one time. Have 11 people plus the person in charge and a zombie, in the room at the same time is overkill. Ruined my girlfriends birthday and we have no intentions of returning.

Worst customer service ever. In the history of the universe. I tried to order through my cell phone, went through the whole order. On the order confirmation page their online order program changed my date to the correct day, twenty minutes from when I ordered! I immediately realized this and called them as quickly as I could to cancel. Upon being answered I was meet with a stone wall of noes. No we cant refund your money the only option they gave me was to reschedule. As I ordered tickets for a small private going away party for a friend who wasnt with us, I had no idea what his schedule was like. I told them Id be reordering but because the event it rescheduled it to was tonight now 10 minutes away if like to cancel since I cant find out everyones schedule that quickly. To make a long story short, they tried to over the phone show me the no refunds policy, and prove that Im a blind idiot. They made me feel stupid, were unflinching in their methods ofhelp, using that term sarcastically. I threatened and then had to finally follow through with the threat to dispute the charges with my bank. Apparently this business is owned by the owners of a local haunted house, which Im going to investigate. As a community we shouldnt fear to place orders with local businesses. This one needs boycotted and shut down.
The attention to detail and the clever use of technology made this escape room a wonderful experience. One of the staff members was also one of the most wonderfully flamboyant and charismatic boys Ive ever met, I think his name was Liam. Definitely will be going back to do more of the variety of rooms they have and I hear they are adding even more!
Not worth the time or money. The staff was not knowledgeable of the escape room. He had to keep looking at the paper and saying oh wait. He almost took us to the wrong room. Much better escape rooms other places. We didnt escape and he asked us if we wanted to know about the room we said yes and he only knew a few clues. He said sorry I just dont know this room that well. Wont be going there agin!
If you want to try an escape room, go ANYWHERE other than here. There’s only 1 room that lasts an hour and it’s not even good, and the staff would rather turn away smaller groups as they feel it’s a waste of their time. Don’t recommend

DONT GET ME WRONG! This was a blast and my friends and I had a wonderful time. Staff was very kind. We did the Mummy thing a few months back.Since it has been a while, things may have changed BUT here are my complaints:The mood was not set. We walked in and the staff member was super kind and very helpful but I wouldve rather had an actor getting us in the mood. ESPECIALLY when we were being told our rules for the room. Having just a typical person instruct us with no kind of setting was kinda... lameThe puzzles sometimes did not work properally. We had numerous issues during our adventure with the technology. Sensors didnt work properally. It was a major buzz kill when we completed the room just in time. The staff member had to come in and do something, even though we had correctly completed the room.My final issue was getting into the building. As silly as it sounds, trying to figure out how to get into the building was more difficult than completing the puzzles; however, I do take the blame for this because I am someone to arrive early. We got there 20 minutes or so prior to our time and we stood outside for at least 10 minutes before they opened the door. Dont get me wrong, its not like the staff member was standing at the desk refusing to let us in. The fact of the matter is that nobody was there to tell us we werent allowed to enter yet.These complaints were kinda ridiculous, I know. But I feel like these are things that should be at the top of the list for a place like this. I will definitely return, in fact I am trying to get a couple buddies to come this week. It was fun but unless they fix some of these (not sure if they had or not, since it has been a while) I cant see this being worth $17-$25.I hope this helped!!!
Typical factory of terror. Spend a ton of money but do very little with staff and acting. Found the whole experience to be a big let down. Was like going to someones house when the parents arent home. Watching un-trained staff scramble around and try to make you believe they know what they are doing. No different then the factories Halloween show. Buy expensive props and surround them with bad acting and terrible make-up. Still have no idea how they are still in business. Im afraid to see how bad they ruin the school house and laboratory. DONT WASTE YOUR MONEY.Response to owner. I have experienced your rooms on two occasions. First at the fair and Im sure you know that was a joke and again at your permanent location I played outbreak. We got paired with a group of idiots after waiting for your actor to get ready and we were held up again because your staff didnt know if the rooms air compressor was on or not. Once inside it was a free for all. There is no connections between puzzles, clues or anything for that matter. Very poorly thought out game. I have been trying to visit a new room each month. I have drove as far as 3 hours for rooms. So Im no rookie. I know bad gaming when I see it. As far as a vendetta against your haunted house. I find that hilarious. I have been haunting since elementary school and just so you are aware LOTS of us in the industry crack many jokes at your expense. You really just throw money at everything and care nothing about quality or the art of haunting. I have spoke to guest actors who tell tales of how poorly managed the show is over all. Sub par acting and make-up have become your trademark. So dont try and post a response acting like im some jerk who is just hating on the factory of terror. Im just some jerk who is telling the truth about the factory of terror.
