Great place to gather with family and friends.
Exceptional staff and exceptionally curated local history exhibits with national relevance.
This museum is dedicated to early American history, and contains various artifacts. One section contains items that would have been used in life during the early 20th century. The other section contains other artifacts such as hunting weapons and decoys, as well as some tools and arrowheads from each time period across from a detailed model of an Indian village. This museum hosts events and presentations about various topics regularly. Please note that people who are severely allergic to cats may find this place slightly unpleasant due to the 2 friendly cats who can be seen occasionally.
Wonderful presentation in great detail work on The Disappearance of my great-aunt Florence Wingate. People go out of their way to be warm and friendly and love to talk about the history of our area almost like going back home and sitting down in front of a warm stove in the winter time and carrying on wonderful conversations. The staff here everyone works very very hard to maintain and carry on the history of our area.
Wonderful place with interesting information. I love local history.
Not your average museum !!super place with super folks to help you discover the history of Dorchester County Maryland ---in many many aspects !!super grounds abound. more than meets the eye !
Very interesting about cambridge and Hollands island!
Quaint but in a beautiful setting
There are several local native american artifact displays throughout the year where you can see not only the museums collection but local collectors display their own stuff as well. Quite an enjoyable way to spend the afternoon.
