Fantastic gallery space with interesting subjects. Doesnt take long to see the whole display, and the location is very convenient. Best of all, entry is free.
Absolute per. Highly recommend
There are few museums that make you feel real emotion. This gallery does that by pushing our perceptions of race and challenging our comfort zones. They dabble in all areas of art from music and dance, the photography and digital art. These different forms of art play to a wide variety of tastes and expectations. The Cooper Gallery is a refreshing look at what a museum can and should be. Worth going back to check out the newest exhibits.
Kudos for curating an exhibition of Black political art with the temporal depth to connect the battle against racism across generations to our current national context. In addition the exhibit shows the global colonial economic basis for racism with pieces connecting the fight for liberation from colonialism in Asia to Black liberation in America.
Its a beautiful art gallery
Wonderful resource for African and African American art. Located in the heart of Harvard Square, this small, free museum features the work of prominent, contemporary artists. Great community outreach efforts by Harvard.
