We have been on this lake for 5 days and seen many different parks and beaches. All of which we were not able to swim in. This beach has everything. Clean water, waves, soft clean sand, life guards, easy parking, shade and of course sun. It even has a restaurant with cocktails and a full menu right on the water. Cant wait to revisit.
Stunning beach, ideal for kids of all ages. The sand goes into the water very gradually creating endless opportunities for young kids to play. It was super clean, with a large parking area, a beautiful playground and clean bathrooms. Its $10/car, but worth every penny
Clean, family friendly with picnic/grill areas and a playground. Convenient snack shop and beach bar serving cocktails and quick bites. Bathroom and showers centrally located. Designated areas for campers/RVs. $6 for residents and $8 for non-residents. Local company on beach for kayak and paddle board rentals which of course we had to do. Looking forward to the next trip!
Beautiful beach! Stunning views over to the adirondacks. The lake here is shallow with a sandy bottom allowing the water to warm up nicely on hot summer days.
The beach is crowded even in Covid19. But yes, Do wear masks thats all I can say. And Do Visit this place. Its really a beautiful and Family friendly place ️
Loved it. nice bike trail and lake view
Beach house cocktails was a wonderful surprise. Gorgeous location on north beach, and the food and drinks were delicious.
Wide sand beaches, beautiful Lake Champlain shoreline, with al fresco dining restaurant for refreshment make North Beach park a great option for Burlington leisure time. The park is traversed by a bike path giving excellent access to extend you exploration of the Burlington Lake Champlain to the north or the south.
It is a nice beach with a lot of area to swim. The food is also pretty good as far as beach food goes
Its a co-op family bbq park and beach with a nifty bar to get some snacks. It can be super crowded and busy, and you need to walk out quite the ways to get some good swimming in. Night time can be magical with little beach fires
This is certainly a destination when you come to Burlington. You can pay a non resident fee of $8 if you drive or you can rent a bike and enter for free. There is a kayak and paddle board company that sets up in the northern part of the park. The park offers trailer style camping as well. The concession staff needs some more help and a better system to work with; they are hard working but could use some more help- many customers seemed agitated on a busy Saturday. The beach is life guarded which is a plus...the rules are a bit more lax than we are used to at our local beach. There is a playground and some barbecues available for use as well.Enjoy your stay if you choose to go.If my review was helpful please consider selecting the “like” button below. Great time. First time
Great except there closing soon !
I traveled for 3 hours to get here and it was 100% worth it. Parking is only $6. The beach is very spacious and long. The lake itself is gorgeous, huge. Theres plenty of space to swim and play in the water. Theres a small place to eat by the beach, they have pizza, burgers, ice cream and much more. Just bring sandals for the sand because it burns. After a whole day in the beach, everyone should go to Church St marketplace in Burlington.
Its a very fun beach with food, bathrooms and even life guards its perfect for a vacation
We pulled up with our boat and enjoyed a day on the boat, lake and beach!
North Beach was picture perfect on this late August day.
Beautiful beach nice water, very crowded.
Great beach, delicious drinks and yummy snacks! I have visited this beach 5+ times this summer and its definitely one of my favorites in the area! Beautiful sandy beaches with a great swimming area, bathrooms and snack bar. The Painkiller cocktail is DELICIOUS! Coconut shrimp is another favorite! Family friendly but also a great beach to visit solo or with friends, highly recommended!!
Beautiful And Very Peaceful Place
Nice beach but too crowded... Lots of college kids
Great beach, very clean and a nice snack bar
A great beach for all kinds of activities. Right off the bike path, sandy, shallow and fun. Pay attention to water quality during the bloom season!
Very nice and well maintained. We didnt have any trouble with all the college students that were there having a good time but it something you may have to consider if you take really little ones. Everyone there was very well behaved and respectful, just heads up.
Good beach, sometimes smells bad though
Its a nice Beach with all the amenities that you would need including food and drink. Not very clean though and get super busy in the summer. Braids with the two of us, families and college kids.At times during the summary the water will be closed because of algae blooms. The sand can be Rocky and full of trash but for the most part it is pretty decent and a good place to spend a hot summer day.You can even rent Kayaks and paddleboards there. Some people will park their boats and come into the beach and hang out today because you can put your boats not too far from the shore.
Love the beach, beach is like home, peace, and problem gone well only when your on the beach. Nice view.
Great place for a warm day to relax. Good mix of sand and grass areas near water. Lifeguards, food, drinks, and standard beach bathrooms all as expected. Only complaint would be the line to get in with car. Should have more than one person at gate.
Great spot to hang but the water can get pretty nasty on a really hot day.
The beach is well kept. Lifeguards are on duty. Scenery is beautiful. Not just the beach if you know what I mean. Lol. Just call to check on the blue green algae before making the trip.
Beautiful, clean water to swim in, with breathtaking views of the mountains! Also, there is a great bike, run, walk path that goes right past this beach for miles. Great day!
Beautiful, peaceful and scenic right in the heart of Burlington. A number of people appeared to have spent the day with their chairs and books
The beach is awesome!
Beach was clean but got packed with college age loud people.
A very nice relaxing beach! Yummy restaurant on the beach as well. Family friendly.
Great place to see even off season. Go for a run and let your mind go.
RV park located just a stones throw away from 30 mile bike path that wraps around the lake and a truly beautiful beach with post card like views. Free to walk in. Water in July was super warm. Beach sand is soft with only a few spots that show a bit of gravel. Water is quite shallow anywhere near shore making it kid friendly swimming. 3-5 Lifeguards on duty. Select food and drink available at small concessions area. Alcohol served in small but pleasant tiki patio. Just minutes to downtown Burlington with all of its charm. Many shops and restaurants to visit. This place is a hidden gem. Its not crowded. We are going to return soon!
Is nice and clean,
A little less private than other Burlington “beaches,” but lovely nonetheless. There’s a stand-alone tiki bar (you cannot bring your drinks to the beach, but kids are allowed to sit at the bar).
Great place to go relax and have some fun. The offer food and select drinks. Now serving alcohol. Kinda pricey but to be expected.
People were not respecting the non-smoking sign. I dont want to inhale the smoke from marijuana. Smoke in your on place and dont contaminate others, specially youngsters.
Its probably the closest youll get to a real beach in Burlington. Its a lot smaller so all the good and BAD that come along with a beach are condensed. But if you go at the right time and/or day or have a pair of earbuds to block out the world, its nice.
Clean, quiet, beautiful view. Bathrooms, shade. What more do you need :)
Lovely spot to enjoy with friends and family. The beach is clean and well maintained. The water is crystal clear and refreshing.
This is an awesome place if you get get over the super drunk college kids. Besides that, an awesome place to be
Kayaking (rentals) in the light waves was an experience and not that hard. Great beach with relatively shallow for long distances. Less than a foot for a while 5 or so feet deep at max. Awesome picnic areas. Clean changing and bath rooms...outdoor showers and decent snack shack.
Nice sandy beach. Lifeguards. Showers and restrooms. A small food store. Creeany icecream. kayaking. And the icing on the cake is that its all fresh water. Best beach ever
Beautiful setting, well-maintained grounds, Im coming back!
Good the local beach to enjoy the sun plus a continue bike path
BEACHY with a bike path and grassy area too. Easy place to chill and get cool.
Number one place to go
Always pleasant with nice surf and soft sand.
Superb park, has everything you could want in an outdoor experience. The water does not get too warm in Vt, but you cant complain about that. Clean facilities and a nice snack bar. Bring your sand umbrella.
Gorgeous park on Lake Champlain close to downtown Burlington. Pretty beach with Adirondack and Camels Hump mtn views. Lovely for swimming and wading. Good sized playground. Amenities could be improved: Restrooms and snack bar open summer only (currently there are some portapotties available). Accessible directly from bike path-- bike right in! Sometimes attracts a rowdy party crowd in hot weather-- alcohol is allowed here. Some issues with unleashed dogs as well. But overall, a lovely park worth many visits.
Nice place to spend the day in the sun, easy access from the bike path.
The place what you would expect for a 90 degree holiday at the beach.
Good local beech with Kayaking and paddle boarding.
Nice view and clear shallow waters, good for small kids
This beach is awesome, life guards on duty, able to rent kayaks, snack bar and most recently a TIKI bar
Entering the park you see camping sites for RV and one for drive ins. Entrance fee is not too bad. Once you are at the beach you will be amazed at the mountain scene with the lakes expanse. The beach itself is organized, maintaned and relatively clean, more than any typical beach. My kids enjoyed that there were paddle boarding and canoe rentals. There are pavillions and grills and you will find restrooms and rinse showers. The beach itself it not the fine grain sand in ocean beaches but its not rocky or muddy compared to other lake or river beaches. My little daughter loved the collection of sandstone and igneous rocks that was available.
There are better beaches. Popular amongst the young people
A fun place to spend time with friends on a warm summer day.
Beautifully maintained park with wide paths.
Nice beach, with a section for dogs. Beach house, life guards, hibachis and picnic areas. The water is only a couple feet deep for about 40 yards out. The beach sand is a little gravelly in most areas but nice and soft in the water.
Awesome beach with gorgeous views of Burlington and Adirondacks....
Nice beach, decent food, nicely developed for families
Nice view, cool place to hang out
Even under a cloudy sky our time at the beach was amazing!
Beach was nice not to many people snack bar was good had a bar for some drinks was also good
Beautiful stretching beach area at lake Champlain in beautiful Vermont. The lake features bathrooms, a restaurant that serves alcohol and a playground for the kids. There’s also an adjacent area for camping. Great place for the family.
Would be great if it werent for the campground and parking. Not friendly!
Best beach in the state! Love the water, HUGE marked off swimming area, playground, plenty of decent sand. Sand bottom, reasonably clear water.
The frequent groups of people playing loud music were annoying, but I guess thats what you get at this sort of beach. The views are great, especially for sunset.
The beach is beautiful but theirs a lot of trash everywhere. Please clean after yourself. Maybe they need to put more trash cans. The beach bathroom is clean unlike the camp site restroom. Quite hours at the campground is none existent.
Very clean...beautiful place..
Good sandy beach. Plenty of shade for those allergic to the sun.
Twas nice. Lake (North Beach) was very clean and its not very crowded. However, the park itself doesnt have much shade in certain areas. Overall it was amazing :)
Great space. Sandy & grassy areas in the shade if you need a break from the sun. Spacious beach so youre not on top of other people even when busy. Concession stand is nice to get snacks/drinks at.
I think this is a perfect place to bring a chair or towel and enjoy at little beach life (from a lake in northern Vermont) they have tables and places to start fires. It is right next the bike path and a camping game group. We enjoy our time there.
Large Beach area, large and safe playground, covered and uncovered grills and the covered space can be rented for parties. There are bathrooms and a snack bar. Very relaxed, come as you are, friends and family type atmosphere. There is also a campground located across the bike path...tents, RVs, about $40/night with tent.x
A phenomenal landscape and well-kept place all right for all visitors in native Florence
Sand beach with marvelous views of the Addirandak Mountains
