It’s really good and fun trail with limited parking spot and restroom for men and women. There’s office plus activities which is now closed because of COVID-19. It used to be a river going down but now it’s dry and better to have enough water with you if you try to go up the mountain. There is a lot of signs to inform you when you park your car in parking lot it’s better to don’t have valuables stuff inside your car and the sign said hide them so it’s not obvious for others.
Great hike to see a beatiful sunset every day
Free parking for the Hiking trails. Not too crowded. Clean bathrooms and water fountain at center. Trails are wide and incline of the way. Lizards and small flies and benches along the trail. 15 min up to the viewpoint, about 30-45 min to the picnic spot where a few tables and a nice tree is planted for shade. Most of the trail had no shade, so bring lots of water. Nice views of city on Burbank and other side. Canyon like views in tye mountain areas. Do not take the old camp road trail, its narrow path and overgrown bushes. Stay safe and keep the park clean.
Favorite hiking and nature center! So much love for this land and trails. Amazing short and long hikes, great full moon and exercise hikes, as well as camps and activities at the center.
Love this place moderate hike open trail. Hike to antenna capture great views of downtown and the rest off the city.
This place will always be a cherished spot in my heart. Lots of big energy here and beautiful nature. If youre looking for some peace within the city... this is it.
Gorgeous trail with stunning views. Many different trails. Bring lunch and enjoy the view before you come down.
The fire road is a bit of a push but the views are worth the effort. Bring water and a sense of adventure!
Ive lived in Burbank many years and have not visited the center until recently. It was very nicely laid out with information about the surrounding animals and fauna. Little exhibits, live animals, lots of information. A good place to start before you hike the trail
Great place to go on a hike. Fantastic views of the city of burbank and many more
Amazing hike to the top of Verdugo Mountain on the hottest day in October 2017 with Paul Morzella!
It definitely isnt Yosemite, but if youre looking for a quick get away from the city, this is a good compromise. There are several miles of trails/ switchbacks, that offer a good views of the city and a brief escape from suburbia....surprisingly enough, you might even spot some indigenous wildlife, including mule deer, coyotes, various species of birds and native vegetation.....
It was really fun hiking with friends and family. The best part is when you reach the very top because the view is amazing, its breath taking.
I love this place!! just wish i could hike on it on google maps!
I LOVE the outdoors, and hiking is always a GREAT and HEATHY get away here, nice sites of the valley.
Knowing that wildfire in the summer of 2017 had been fairly devastating, I was still surprised by just how devastating they had been. But nature works in its own cycle, and the beauty with return over time. In the meantime, the nature center is doing whatever it can to help the process. And I was glad to see that Lone Pine had survived!
Good views of Burbank and Glendale along way to radio towers.
Beautiful view at the top
I love the nature, and wildlife, and hiking in teh mountains.
Great hike and interesting look at Burbank wildlife
My go-to hiking spot when Im in Burbank. Good trail options and spectacular views.
This is my favorite place to hike. It’s a great place to just get out in nature and it’s not crammed with people who just want to be seen like at Runyon Canyon. I can go for 10 minutes without running into someone on these trails and when I do they’re always friendly. The area has recovered nicely from the wildfires and It’s especially beautiful in spring with the flowers in full bloom.
Great hike. 1h up and your on top of the world
Nice place for hikers and mtb riding beutifull Burbank and los Angeles views
I recommend the 0.9 mile hike to the old camp site.
Great trail ; that is when it comes to beginners like myself. Loved it.
Love this place. Its a bit small, but so convenient if you live close by. Have seen quite a few large coyotes here, so if you bring your dog be cautious.
Cool little ecology center at the trailhead to a graded fire path hike up to the radio towers or the burned down cabin. Pick your poison.
Great view

Nice hiking area with multiple length trails. If you go on the weekend, be prepared to park down below the regular lot because its small. Street parking is available by the golf course down the hill. Nice Visitor Center near entrance. Informative, educational, and nice staff.
Easy hiking
Nice place to go for a hike. Be careful when treading the narrow paths.
My favourite hiking spot. Its my go to whenever I need to reconnect with nature. I grew up in Burbank so I know that area by heart. See all kinds of adorable critters and everyone is so nice. The staff at the center is wonderful and they have such great creatures to look at, both alive and not! Strongly recommend
This place is a great treasure i will surely cherish it.
I came here on my way up to the Henry Cook Lookout Point. Very nice facility, I enjoyed it very much. Bathrooms were very accessible, and the guides at the desk helped me find my way to the trail destination. Very nice job.
An Official Hiking Review:This nature center is a jewel of Burbank. It provides a much needed service and educational experience to the residents. The staff is friendly and helpful. Our team greatly enjoys this gem and the help that it provides all hikers.
Unfortunately closed due to covid-19
There are nice views of Burbank and Glendale on the way up to the radio towers. For added adventure and difficulty take some of the many side trails along the way.
During the heat of summer, this is my evening hiking trailhead. The start is shaded, and much cooler than having the sun blasted on you. As you reach the saddle (almost 1 mile up), there is always a very nice breeze blowing. Head west and youll find a nice picnic table and a long slow decent to Sun Valley (near the top of Hollywood Way). Go east, you have miles of Verdugo Fire Road (I have only gone as far as Brand Park)...but you can go as far as Tongva & Thom peaks, then down to Beaudry trailhead in Glendale.
Great place with lot of shiny rocks on the trail
Perfect hiking
Havent been here for a whole decade. Felt surreal to come back. Short hike to the top, AWESOME view.
Nice park, great for hiking.
Easy little nature, a few things to share with the kids.
Family friendly hike!
Flowers, views of burbank, was hot and dry in june 2019 but flowers everywhere. Cool views, rainy months are best
Quiet place for meditation and hiking
Beautiful hike!
Beautiful hike up to the view!
Great place to hike!
Always a great workout hike.
Nice view but very little shade
Great hikes, nice facility and parking
Best of the best.. pollution free easy friendly hike
Great place to get away.
Found this place on a whim and glad I did. Free parking, although limited so go early for hikes, Film location shoots or just to take in the breathtaking views. Although snakes were not present, still be careful. People on the trail are friendly.
Great place and great staff. Went to the Henry Cook Point and then to the radio towers. 10/10 experience.
Nice place, not too crowded, and great for short hikes.
Had a great hike. Thanks Earth.
Wonderful, beginners hike. The Nature Center nearby is fun to check out beforehand to see sone reptiles and spiders. Theres a lookout spot (takes about 20-30 mins depending on your speed), or take your hike further past that point.
Gorgeous view
Great trails with incredible views of the valley and Burbank airport for those willing to climb high enough. Lots of nature to see only minutes from downtown Burbank. The nature center has a knowledgeable staff and interesting exhibits for the kids.
Peaceful
Great place to learn new ideas, and for familys to learn about each other relationship, respect one of other, love, Harney with nature national world, mother earth children sacred heart of the forest!.
The stough canyon mountain way hike is moderate with approximately 8mi hike to radio tower. Rain has damaged few stretches of the hike paths. With restoration work is still underway, getting kids to hike may be not a good idea.
Love this trail.
Hiking trails and views make for a good day trip in the Burbank hills
Great hiking trails. Did my sons 6th bday party here and it was great! They took the kids for a hike, a scavenger hunt, pet a snake, and much more. Small but very clean, modern and fun. A great little get away.
Easy drive for a good hike. Kid friendly and provides lots of information about the wildlife.
Love hiking with my family here
Great hiking trails. Crowded on holidays and weekends
Im usually up here to go hiking, but I have brought my friends daughter to the nature center and she loved it. They also host events such as full moon hikes, which is pretty cool.
Nice wide trail
Great place to go on a hike and learn as a family.
Moderate hike, overlooking Burbank.
The girl that worked there was very helpful gave us some information we didnt know for instance there are no rattlesnakes in that mountain range whether thats true or not I dont know but we certainly never saw any
Great hiking. Wonderful nature center. Beautiful exhibits. Knowledgeable volunteers.
Great out and back hiking. Cute nature center for kids
Nice trail run!
Excellent little place In the middle of nowhere. Great for hiking small trails and they have a small museum to check out.
Good hiking, or running place
Cool place, good for kids. Nice hiking trails, get their early parking is a premium.
Great mountain bike ride with amazing views.
Beautiful hike just right not to hard not too light
Hidden gem in Burbank, a great place to take the kids to get away from it all - and to learn about nature. Perfect size for hands on demonstrations. Fun for all.
Nice trail, moderate. Great views. Kids loved it.
I was amazed about this place but it was kind of dirty .
Great hike and views. Its good for dogs and kids
