Walking among those that journeyed to the Valley, and Brownsville, during tumultuous and adventurous times. These individuals were brave, tough, bold, courageous risk- takers--- women included! The land was untamed and the spirit of adventure it took to get one here equally as impressive. Love this cemetery and the history it preserves.

For a cemetery, this gets 4 stars! Theres allot of history here. One of the oldest, if not THE oldest cemetery in town. I have a thing for cemetries, bridges and open nature... and one of my favorite of local cemeteries in town is Brownsvilles Old City Cemetery. It has a slight new Orleans cemetery style feel to it all with the above ground tombs. Not to mention it is loaded with Pokestops, lol.
