One of the oldest parks in Brownsville with Many trees. It is a must for birders to view the Red Crown parrot. This location is on an old landfill from the 1930’s.

Love this park. I live very close and have been going there for many years now with my family and have had many partys too. The reason I gave it 4 stars is because it doesnt have water fountains and it would be nice of it did but, aside from that it is a great park. Totally recommended.

Great playground and what makes it even better is that the playground os wheelchair accessable! My son and daughter love this park. The only drawback is that of you go during the day you may have high schoolers skipping classes from Pace HS speaking nothing but profanities.

I love the skatepark! Oliveira park has many sports grounds, and you can watch parrots at dusk.

The best pokemon spots

This park provides many recreational opportunities like soccer, baseball/softball, a roller park, and it is one of the most reliable locations for parrot birding. On this night two spieces made an appearance. The Red-crowned Parrots made a bee line to one persons backyard that backs against the park to feast in their lime tree! Amazed as always when I visit this park.

Great place to see the parrots just before sunset. Nice to see all of the kick ball players.

My daughter loves this place, whenever we need to tire her out, this is our go to park.

There seems to be lots of soccer going on at this park, but it also has lots of other activities as well. Swimming pool, tennis to name a few. There are also panic tables to have a lunch or enjoy some food. We drove around the entire park looking for a good place to park so we could walk with trees nearby. We were looking for birds because we had heard there are red crown parrots that fly in each night. It turned out we were not the only ones there looking for them. As predicted - they flew in just before dusk. You cannot miss the noise. It was a very neat experience and I am glad we came to check it out. We enjoyed walking around. There are lots of trees that provide good shade. ( Yes - there are bathrooms too)

One word, dirty. I mean really. Im not kidding people. One morning I went for a morning jog and youll never guess what I saw. A couple in the middle of doing their deed. Wheres the security here, I mean this is a public place, a place for one to take their family to play and to be subjected to behavior like that, thanks but no thanks.

If you want to have fun. This is a great park. They have from skateboarding to tennis to basketball courts. All open to the public

Im extremely impressed with this park. Theres nothing extra special about it, but the grounds are well maintained, and there is tons of space!!!Im from North Texas, and there arent many Parks with such well kept grass in so many areas. Im honestly jealous of the citizens of Brownsville! A park like this up north is typically privately owned and requires some fee to play on the grounds.Parks and rec division, please come fix things in north Texas for me!

This park is alright.. has good variety of attractions including a nice skateboard park for those who still skateboard. The bathrooms need soap dispensers though and they oughta send a security around the parking lots every once in a while.. I often see different vehicles parked alone there from time to time doing some shady business be it sex or drugs.

Good for birdwatching and hosting baseball, softball, kickball, volleyball, tennis and soccer games. More a sports park than a regular park for kids. There ARE two playgrounds, but theyre relatively small and spread apart.

I really like this place. This park has a several activities to partake in. For example, skating, biking, soccer, tennis, and many other fun sports.

Beautiful park with extensive access to all playing fields and broad green areas.

We went late in the day in order to watch the wild green parrots come in to roost. It was quite an interesting experience.We also observed kids of all ages playing sports and having fun. It looks like a great place for neighborhood kids to gather.

Just go to skate but its a great park all around.

Safe, overall clean, great place to bring small children; especially those with special needs for the jungle gym. Lots of activities going on, they also partake in summer food program for breakfast and lunch. Great place to parrot watch!

We went to see the parrots arrive to roost at sunset. It looked like a nice park and is obviously very popular, with lots of sports activities going on. Parrots amazing-take a scope or at least binoculars.

Love the new playground that they have for the kids. And they have a great seeing program during the summer. Pool is also open to the public during the summer for $1.
