This is a beautiful museum dedicated to preserving culture and educating the public. It is a must see if you are in the Rio Grande Valley.

A wide variety of western hemisphere cultures represented by traditional clothing styles. I was surprised to see clothing from many of the Plains tribes represented as well as the South Eastern US. I was really expecting more local and central American cultures. The examples were beautiful and it was a real pleasure to explore with the kids as well as some US history lessons. Free with admission to the Childrens Museum and free every Sunday. Check it out.
