Was a beautiful place to live until board president and manager became more interested in selling and making commission than maintaining our park. Clubhouse has been locked now for 7 months and recently they added deadbolts. We have no idea why this happened, so as residents we no longer have keys to clubhouse. Our rent just raised. Maintenance of restroom, pool deck and furniture, storage area (resident who chose to use it pay $40 a month) has knee high weeds, just to mention a few. Maybe new management would bring us back to paradise.
Two years ago I would have given this a 4 stars (management has always been very inept) but in the last ten months the harassment from the coop president started, if you have a dog, DO NOT MOVE HERE! The retaliation for anything you say bad about them is bad. Anyway, they will say how beautiful the park is etc, this may be true, but you still have a bully running this place. Fingers crossed we get new people in charge and things get back to that 5 stars it should be.
Residents are really nice, but management is horrible!!!! Manager is nice until you sign the papers, then starts to hassle you about things that were approved at signing. Club house is closed, locks changed. Lots of gunshots from surrounding area. Very disappointed!
Poor management. No activities. This is a one star community. Dont recommend it .also alot of noise and gun shots from the neighborhood
Co-op is resident owned but Management and board members are not for residents. Only do what they want to do. Clubhouse closed for 8 months. Management changed locks, no resident can get in clubhouse. Residents afraid of harassment from manager and co-op president.
Its a great park nice wide streets and good club house with lots of things to
My husband and I purchased in 2008. Since then there have been many improvements, i.e. pickle ball courts, bocce courts and horseshoe courts. All these add to the quality of life and add many opportunities to socialize with others. In addition there are shuffleboard courts, pool, several dances, barbeques, potlucks, etc.The managing board is continually updating infrastructure and maintaining park assets.Plantation Village is a great place to live.
I own here year round with a Co-op share.Nice snow bird neighbors but when they leave its very lonely if you are single & retired and moved away from your friends of 30+ years ( like I did). Well maintained & BOCCI Ball, heated ( small) pool, shuffleboard court,sPickle Ball courts, clubhouse activities ( most active during winter when snow Birds are here). Great place if you are married or have a partner. Otherwise, if you are single, like me-I am dying on the vine here.
Its my favorite Bingo place to go. The only thing thats annoying, is the people that have to make a remark out loud, about some of the numbers being called.
Expensive but really nice. People dont conform to pet sizes ets
I HAVE OWNED HERE FOR 14 YEARS AND MY PARENTS BEFORE ME FOR 20. AFTER READING THE NEGATIVE REVIEWS I FELT AN HONEST ONE IS CALLED FOR. MY WIFE AND MY SELF LOVE IT HERE. PEOPLE ARE STANDING IN LINE TO BUY HERE AND WE WOULD TO.
Moved here 3 years ago. Not a moments regret. The Park is resident owned, well run and well maintained. Residents and staff are friendly and caring, lots of fun things to do. Be as involved as you like. Check it out and form your own opinion.
As a resident of this park for over a year, my 81 yr old Mother and myself are now being forced out with no reason from the board or the manager Merry..... They evicted a man a few weeks ago and he killed himself in the driveway of his home. Its sad that those in charge of this so called elite community care so little for the residents of a park that they WORK FOR. We had three different places set up to rent in the park and Merry wouldnt allow any of them to rent to us, so now when we move on Monday we will be homeless! The lot rent was always paid as were the utilities and we have never had even a warning for anything since we moved in, yet we were told we have 8 weeks and then we have to leave???
Very nicely maintained community
LOVE this little community! Well-groomed, roomy & just perfect for retirees. Friendly, cozy atmosphere.
This place has the most awesome residents I have ever met. Beautiful Park, lots of recreational activities. Very well maintained.
Very cute quaint well kept park. One of the nicest ones around
A great place to work! Ive met so many interesting & friendly people who take great pride in their park!
Plantation Village Co-Op took every Possesion my 85 year old Father and I owned shortly after his death as well as 2 days after giving birth to a stillborn baby. Generations of Personal Belongings pilfered through and kept for staff as well as Co-op President Frank Fields. Disgraceful rotten organazation.... they should be shamed publicly for their grossly unethical practices and Disgusting display of greed as well as their lack of Empathy and Honor to a U.S. Army Veteran and his surviving family. On Dec 14, 2017 the home we owned was demolished to make way for a new Jacobsen Model as boasted in the Plantation Village December Community News letter. The remainder of our estate is being stored on park premises and also has been obtained or disposed (not donated) of by whomever felt entitled to do so, including very expensive medical equiptment provided by the Veterans Administration. They are using our personal belongings to stage their new fabulous consignment Jacobsen Model Homes recently placed on vacant, now..Co-op owned lots as well as selling our personal family history, inheritances, invaluable memories, priceless memoribilia, valuable Art and pottery, and family investments in their annual bazaar Feb 1-3 2018.Not even a note of codolence from the commuinity for which my disabled father and I lived and tirelesssly cared for more than 4 years...We have gone through all legal channels as required ...yet Brian Chase of Atlas Law as well as his staff were delibritaly negligent with failure to communicate or display any common decency.55+ Community.. keep an eye open for your vulnerable elders and loved ones. They have destroyed our entire livelihood with out blinking an eye...Hoping they rest well at night. I dont even have my own bed to sleep in....The common grounds look lovely with my handmade imported gifted planters that were packed and labeled to be moved. You have some nerve-Nicole J Simeone
I have lived here for five years and I am very pleased with everything about this park.
The Office staff was rude, unfavorable, and made me feel unimportant when asking for a simple request from the office. I gave the up most respect to everyone I spoke with and in return all I received an discourteous attitude.
Totally useless website. Everything about your facilities costs must be a big secret yUtotqs eless website . V
Excellent ATMOSPHERE.
Very beautiful park nice people
Always the worst place on earth to visit, and lived there once, the management company is the worst, of any other that I have dealt with, and harrassment of guests and residents is, overall a discriminating, skid row company. They should have federal civil rights charges brought upon its employees.
Very nice.
Very pleasant, friendly staff and community.
Visited old friends
