This place was in great shape. We lucked out with getting a Golf Now Hot Deal. Staff was attentive, but not too much. Water stations were abundant. Great layout with many interesting holes with water in play at most of them. Would definitely go back.

Excellent course! Challenging! Great layout, nice scenery. Greens in pretty good shape. Starter was friendly and helpful. The only negative comment I would have is that we had a late tee time and once we made the turn, the clubhouse/outside bar was closed. We could not purchase any beverages. Would highly recommend.

Excellent course in a beautiful community. The staff were amazing too. I thought I’d packed a PBJ for my breakfast and realized I’d packed two slices of plain bread! They were very sweet to make me one taking pity on this unprepared vegetarian!

Course in good condition dreams were great just a little bit wet in Fairway

I made tee time for single. Got to course 20 minutes before tee time. Got to the first tee 10 minutes before tee time. The starter gave my spot away. He told me he had the man drop back so he didnt have to play with the 3 wives. If I wanted to I could join the wives or play by myself. As a female he have my spot to male and assumed I would want to play with the wives. Keep smoking your cigar Mr. Starter.

Rita Cohen is the CAM for this community and I cannot speak highly enough of her. She is the greatest thing about Waterlefe, which says a LOT, because Waterlefe has a LOT of great things going for it.

This course is awesome! We travel 45 minutes once a month to play here. Beyond being one of the nicest courses, the staff is the friendliest staff we’ve encountered. You get what you pay for, spend a few extra bucks and play here, you won’t regret it!

Really well run facility and a very nice course. However, the course is very tight and when its windy (and thats often) it can play a bit unfair as there are many carries that will be nearly impossible for many straight into a dead wind. Its a real challenge, but the scenery is gorgeous.

Excellent golf course - very demanding with lots of water.

You better bring some extra balls. Theres literally more water then playable surface on this course. Bring some bug spray for the back nine. Sunscreen for the whole time. Make sure your playing progressively better throughout the round as its twice as hard on the back nine. Make sure to hit the ball straight. Good luck

It has held up good over the years. Visually attractive. Conditions are good. You will lose more balls than usual. Nice grounds and pro shop.

Love love love this place this community is wonderful the golfing is excellent you couldnt ask for a better group of residence, they are the epitome of community and you would be extremely blessed to know these people. Even if youre just going there for a day of golfing youre going to feel like one of the family. If you get a chance to buy in this community take it, it is one of the best places to retire in Florida.

I played this last Sunday and the course was fantastic! Nice and fairly dry given the rain weve had recently. Greens were solid and fast, fairways were well maintained. Id play here again soon!

Best course in town. Thought our twosome would be stuck behind two 4s that just teed off. Guy started us on the back instead, got around in 3 and a half hours with cart path only. LOVE knowledgable starters.

Played Sunday 9-24. Course was running an email special, a round and lunch for $35. Not bad. Heres the problem it took almost 5 hours to complete the round. At one point on 14, the group causing all the problems was in the fairway, there was a group on the tee, we were behind them, there was a group waiting behind us, and there was a group putting out on 13. Called the pro shop about the delay. They said theyre sending a ranger. Not sure a ranger ever showed up. 4 hours and 50 minutes in 90 degree heat is a LONG round. But the fun didnt stop, we got to the grill at 315, only to be told the kitchen closed at 3. Thankfully our waitress was able to get us our lunch. Ive played this course 3 times and twice Ive had to deal with 5 hour rounds. Pretty sure Waterlefe is off the play list.

This golf course is absolutely insane awesome!! Beautiful greens, amazing layout, above average length from the tips!Water range but its just warm up not practice.Club house restaurant could be more but youre here to play golf not eat.Full bar and yes they serve at 7am on a Sunday!!

I am a REALTOR with Coldwell Banker. I believe without a doubt Waterlefe is a five star Luxury community. The management, residents, employees and staff are always so friendly. The golf course is immaculate and maintained with EXCELLENCE. The dining at both locations is over the top! I always take my buyer clients there on the first day. It is an easy sale because of all the hard work of everyone involved in the community. The homes and the condos are all very beautiful. Waterlefe rocks!

A great golf course in superb condition. True greens and some really interesting holes. A real test of golf. My only gripe is that when I rang and booked Iwas told it was $39 each. I asked if they accepted Big Summer Card as I know they did in the past and was told they did even though they are not on BSG list so i expected a few dollars discount. Surprise, surprise I was charged $40 each plus tax. How does that work.

It was my first time on the course and I just loved the track and also checking out all the great homes...Great set-up.Course knowledge would help somewhat because there were a few times I thought I hit a good shot only to hit water or a bunker I did not see....but that didnt matter, my golfing partner and I were there to have a great experience and we did.I will go back especially with course knowledge....it will really help.Ray in the Pro shop was so nice...the ultimate pro.Try the chicken salad on rye with slaw or fries.....yummy.

Even though I never shoot well on this course, I thoroughly enjoy playing it. The staff is second to none. Water and/or wetland is in play on every hole. Plenty of bunkers. Tough test, beautiful course, great people.

Definitely the BEST golf course in the area. Worth the trip from surrounding areas. Beautiful layout and manicured conditions. Lots of nearby courses are just as expensive and not nearly as nice. Greens and FWs are always excellent. Tee boxes are above average. Bring 2 boxes of balls because the place is well named! Water is featured on almost every hole. Go later in the day and you will likely have the place to yourself!

We are new to the area and needed a venue to celebrate our 50th wedding anniversary. Having been here for a lunch event, we called and met woth Jen, club manager, From the very first meeting everything went very well. And the event was absolutely perfect. The bartenders were spot on with excellent service. Passed hors d’oeuvres were tasty. Chef Dan prepared a meal that amazed. Our guests commented it was the best event food ever and a lovely setting. Filet was cooked perfectly and delicious. Salmon as well. Chad and Nick and their staff provided attentive and timely service. I am a pretty picky person amd coild not find one way it coild have been better. .

We looked at buying a condo in there for golfing weekends and that kind of thing. We looked at the HOA fees and couldnt believe what residents in Waterlefe are paying per year. We looked very closely into their CDD and other fees. Immediately after speaking with the attorney in the County that deals with their CDD we knew something wasnt right. Even the realtor who has had over 30 years of experience in selling real estate in Manatee County told us it was just plain suspicious. Waterlefe has the highest HOA fees in Manatee County and you can be sure a lot of it is going into pockets. Our realtor told us that the residents in Waterlefe or most of them have no clue where their money is really going. We wouldnt buy in that place with that going on. The residents should hire in a separate company to audit and investigate where the money they are paying is really going and has been going for some years. We learned that the board members all know each other and that the voting for new board members is maybe rigged to keep it in the club so to speak.I hate to see honest people getting ripped off by a dishonest regime which I believe is going on in there. One story we heard is of a board member who started his own company so that when the Waterlefe River Club ordered in entertainment he would have them pay his company as he ordered the entertainment. How corrupt is that and you can be sure its only the tip of the ice berg. Our realtor who knows another realtor living in Waterlefe did also tell us that a small group of residents are apparently working on getting things lawfully investigated and have been making progress slowly on this. Thumbs up to that, we wish them the best of luck. As for Carr Riggs and Ingram and their financial auditing? Whos paying them??

Waterlefe Golf Club is not only challenging, fun and beautiful, it is always in excellent condition! A must play if you are visiting the area, or if you are looking for a first class gated community to call home.
