Upon arrival I noticed the area taped off and locked. The church and the Madonna statue were closed untill further notice. When they reopen I strongly recommend seeing the church. The mosaic artwork is beautiful. Open it is a solid 5!

She is so majestic, and the view from atop towards the airport is superb. I would definitely recommend checking it out, whether youre religious or not, just for the kick of it. East Boston has a lot to offer, and this is one of the nice places to visit. To be honest, I though I was going to see a statue of the British Madonna, but it was Mary instead. Nonetheless it was worth the hike up there. Oh, yeah it is atop a hill, so expect some quads exercise.

First time visiting this place this weekend. Impressive but was closed and appeared rundown. Was informed it has reopened for masses but one needs to make an appointment to attend. Really? May Our Lady intercede for us.

I love visiting the Madonna and also the church. It guves you a feeling of true serenity. It is beautiful and the manger at Christmas time is absolutely stunning. It truly is a place one needs to see. The gift shop has all your religious needs and is a great place to buy someone that very special gift.

Steep stair climb up to this area unless you follow the roads, which are more gradual but less direct obviously. Beautiful shrine with a great view across East Boston and downtown skyline as well.

Great church which has a gift shop & banquet hall. Only problem is not much natural light gets in through.

A hidden gem that Catholics not from the area might not be aware of. If youre a Catholic or just love art I would go see the Madonna in East Boston next to the Don.
