This is a pretty large park, with scenic views and pretty quiet. The playground is under construction, so other than running around theres little external things for kids to expend their energy on. You could also fish here, and they have little stone stands with information on the kinds of fish youre most likely to catch here. The information stands on the history of the park, from its Native American origins to its use as an industrial hub, then to becoming a park, are well written and illustrative of the history of the area.

I frequent here once a week or every other week. Its a great place to walk dogs, jog, play soccer, and even has a kids playground. The views are nice. Plenty of dogs on and off leash. People tend to be flexible and open minded about dogs off leash, though please keep yours on a leash if theyre aggressive or untrained. People are also good about picking up after their dogs. Long story short...please dont ruin it for the rest of us.The only reason for 4 stars is that its right next to 93. So youll have that road noise no matter what. Not exactly the type of serene sound to match the visuals.

Beautiful place. Great trails. I will definitely be back. The walkways are beautiful. The people seemed friendly. People picked the poop up. There was a huge soccer field that I definitely want to play on. It seems like a great place to get yourself together. My partner was happy to be here. There was a definite contrast between the Quincy side and Dorchester. I was very happy.

Great park for kite flying. There are two main loops - the southern one has two nice pavilions with tables, and the northern one has these awesome roofed benches all along the walking trail, which is good because there isnt a lot of shade here. There are porta-potties by the northern entrance.

We popped off the Southeast Expressway [Exit 12, US93S] to stop for a quick in-the-car picnic. Great choice just for that, but its also a large park w/ rolling, grassy terrain, paved pathways. Dog walkers were loving it today. And probably most other days. Well be back!

A well hidden park frequented by locals with dogs, the Pope John Paul II Park gives you a decent sea breeze and a decent view, too.Watch your footing, lots of dogs there probably leave a few of their own marks. And there are more than a few beer cans left on it.Its a great place, but an even better place for a trash pick up. I see this place having a lot of potential. But, the paved areas are very nice for a run!

Best Park in the neighborhood. It has a play ground for the kids, a huge field that teams, kids and family utilize for soccer and football practice. Awesome area to picnic on lawn, perfect for kite flying and family also do fishing. The park has a huge trail for joggers and walker that wants to stay fit. The trail doesnt begin and ends at the park. Its a huge trail that runs into at lease three town, cant give you exact details you would have to check it out. Perfect for bike riding also. The park also has porter potties located in different areas around the park. Awesome park for the family. Every now and then in the summer months they also have movie nights. Check it outlots of parking too
