Ive seen half a dozen shows at the Omni Theater and will be going here as long as they let me. The immersive experience this theater offers is unlike anything else, even virtual reality. The films shown are always wonderful, too. Very, very worth seeing one or two at a time.

If youve never been definitely find a movie and go. Unique movie experience. Unreal sound and screen. Cheaper than the movies at $10 if Spirit Bear Rainforest is still showing you should definitely see it!

Good. Imax theater. Check Mos website for. Schedule. Show is $10 for. Adults, and 8 for kids. Movies run about an hour. Sit in the middle up high for the best experience. I parking is expensive $17, consider taking the green line instead.

This place serves a very specific purpose: to deliver knowledge about Science in the most visually stunning way possible. From that perspective, it delivers in spades. Huge dome screen and awesome sound make the experience immersive and very engaging. Be advised, some of the materials shown can (and do) scare small children, so inquire with the staff to be safe. Seating is comfortable and well maintained, though the theater is quite steep, which can make some adults uneasy. All in all a fantastic experience, and a great way to spend some of your day at the Museum of Science.

The Omni theaters really great things. Ive been going there since it was built when I was a kid. I would strongly suggest getting tickets online ahead of time. You can do digital tickets on your phone which is nice. Its pretty loud so young kids Im not really recommended. But somewhere 4 or 5 and up is good. Be aware you cant really get out to pee. Youre kind of in it for the duration but the shows dont really last an hour there more like between 42 minutes and 50 minutes.

Main projector has elevator that lifts projector up to a hole where there is NO GLASS WINDOW as other theaters have that penalizes image quality. They still use 70mm film going sideways as well! :) But if they ever change this, theyre going to be losing stars.

The visuals remain astounding, even after the decades they have been open. However, the content is boring at times. We watched Volcanos and the focus was more on a photographers journey to take pictures instead of the science behind them.

Its an awesome and immersive experience. In a way its quite similar to a wearing an Oculus VR headset - but sans the headset. The picture quality was a bit grainy for couple of scenes. I could spot pixels and blurring esp. the ariel shots. However it was a great experience overall!

An amazing cinematic experience unique to Boston. It is a dome shaped theater that plays mainly IMAX documentaries and is the most immersive film viewing I have ever seen. Why the rest of the country has not caught on to this I cannot say, but its even better than 3-D or 4-D
