Fantastic place. Most of the places are beautiful and well cared for and the amenities are nice. Easy to get to Boone, Blowing Rock, Banner Elk, and Grandfather mountain. Theyre not kidding when they say you need 4 wheel drive and chains when coming in the winter because the main drive is very steep.

Gorgeous views, landscaping, luxury clubhouse with a beautiful pool, spotlessly maintained. Another clubhouse has less views but a huge indoor pool. Good wifi in both.

Wow, Echota was something my family was so happy to find. Discover the benefits of owning a home in the mountains. The Echota staff is phenomenal. You can rent a home through Foscoe Rentals for a night or longer. The Sales staff are quick to answer any questions. Jay helped us out and was a resource we are so thankful to have met.There are two ponds to fish, a private river park, a field for family activities, two club houses, two workout areas, an indoor pool with hot tub, and an outdoor pool with hot tub. Plus walking and just enjoying the views. Echota is the place to be.

While on a family Winter break vacation we encountered less than favorable weather on one of our days. However, the Echota Clubhouse saved the day. The Club house was beautifully decorated to represent Christmas as it was nestled in the mountains, where from the wrap around patio outside the homes looked like tiny toys.The Clubhouse has a pool table along with a checkerboard set and a TV with local channels.The furniture and decorating have you the feel of a woodsy cabin in the mountains. It was honestly a beautiful place

Great place to relax. Must stay on property to use the facilities. Several buildings/locations. One outdoor, one indoor pool. Separate club houses with fireplaces, pool tables, fitness areas. Come once and youll come back several times. Better yet, buy a unit.

Overall, its nice and you should check it out.Multiple tvs, kitchen, loud stereo, pool table, library, ping pong table, other table games, and various seating options are available here.I enjoyed playing several games of pool, though the table has been abused and the sticks could use replacing or new tips.We also enjoyed borrowing a few book from the library for some fireside reading.On one of our evening visits, a family was having a birthday party here for two children and were able to entertain about 20 of their teenage or preteen friends.Its could be a great amenity, but it needs some maintenance and equipment updates.Lastly, you may encounter a situation as I did, with the birthday party, and not be able to use the facility.
