The whole team at The Community House made our Thursday wedding so elegant and smooth. Tim Hunt is easy to work with, and incredibly reassuring and accommodating. The bridal suite was accessible and comfortable. Our first look took place in a completely private outdoor nook, with trees, bricks, and a little waterfall. It was such quiet and sacred space, I could’ve stayed there forever. We were able to utilize all of Birmingham’s downtown scenery and city-vibes, while still maintaining greenery for the photos, it was perfect. Our transition from ceremony to reception was seamless - Tim was waiting with a bottle of champagne to congratulate us while we waited for guests to head to the ballroom. Every detail: intentional. It’s been a couple years and we still visit Birmingham and the venue to remember our day; it’s such a beautiful and accessible space to visit and reminisce. 10/10, all the stars, we would get married here again!

Molly was wonderful to work with as we planned my brothers memorial service. Her suggestions for the right event room, number of tables, food and drink were spot on. She also encouraged ideas we had for personalizing the event and room as well as worked with us to make it all come together. The food and service were excellent. We couldnt have been more pleased with our experience at The Community House. Thank you again, Molly and staff!

On behalf of Chief Financial Credit Union, thank you for taking great care of us during our quarterly training session. The food, five stars. The service five stars, the venue, five stars. Catherine at the front desk is our new best friend. She was so helpful!

I just had my wedding at The Community House in January of 2020, and I can’t say enough great things. Tim was absolutely outstanding and has amazing customer service skills. Any hiccup, he immediately had a solution. The planning seems endless, but they made it so easy for us. Any question and email were answered within hours and he was so helpful and tasteful with his opinions. Every encounter was kind from everyone we came into contact with. On the day of the wedding, our valet was a little late and Tim immediately told us that he had upgraded our bar to make up for it. This is the type of customer service every business needs. I am so grateful!

Had Mother’s Day brunch here. While it was a little pricey, it was well worth it! Seating was spacious and well planned out, food was yummy and constantly restocked, there was a good selection, and the wait staff were wonderful - friendly and professional. I would recommend they add a green salad/salad bar to the offerings, but other than that, it was great! Highly recommend, especially if all of their events are this well planned.

This place is extremely beautiful and full of charm. It is even more elegant than The Townsend Hotel. The cooking class was very well organized. I would highly recommend, and I already registered for three more cooking classes. To park, you will need to either do the meters or there is a parking deck on Chester Street with 2 hours of free parking, but you will need a credit card to enter and exit the ramp.

We were part of the Art Show and Sale. We were pleasantly surprised with the amount of food and drinks flowing during the opening reception. A great place for an elegant wedding reception.

Attended the Caribbean food class and left a favorable review. But I’ve been thinking about it ever since. THIS CLASS WAS MISNAMED. There was no food presented that a Cuban or Puertorican or Dominican or any Island cook would recognize. You should have called it healthy cooking using influences of the Caribbean. But Caribbean food or cooking it was not!! I feel better now.
