Super delicious soul food in Birmingham. Its a buffet style restaurant for $18 per person. I was visiting my mom who recently moved to the area and we wanted to try a local spot. This place came up with great reviews so we decided to check it out. The staff was friendly. The food was AMAZING. All home cooked and delicious. Reminds me of the good food my family has at family reunions.

This place offers first-rate service as well as delightful menu. My favourite place in the city. The food and drinks arrived quick and the rates were inexpensive. Will definitely recommend this place.

Best soul food in Birmingham! White table cloth service! The staff is super friendly and they keep your beverages filled. Only open on Sundays for dine in or take out. Im usually not a buffet fan BUT THIS IS NOT A TYPICAL BUFFET! Everything Ive tasted is great......baked chicken, fried pork chops, THE MEATLOAF and a pork pot with everything that you could imagine eating from the pig(feet, ears)! They have a large variety of veggies, hot & cold. The desserts are great too! The homemade peach cobbler is amazing! Lots of desserts to choose from. Small restaurant inside with outdoor seating availability too. Ill say this, wait for a table to clear so that you can try a little bit of everything

Hands down best brunch ever. Sundays only! Make time. You wont regret it. If I were to type out all the good things I could say, it would take an entire page! Absolutely outstanding, fair price, excellent service, and better food than you grandma cooks for Thanksgiving. Incredible staff, even better food. Just across from the Alabama Theater on the corner of 17th and 3rd. Amazing hidden gem. Dont forget to try the peach iced tea!

This is worth the money. Everything was hot and had great favor. The staff was really nice. For $18 per person you can pick from at least 5 different meats, 8 hot vegetables, 6 cold salads and 5 deserts and this includes your drink with unlimited re-fills. There is in-side and out-side seating. Only open on Sunday.

Hidden gem! Best soul food outside your grandmothers kitchen and they even got granny beat on some of it. Super friendly. Well worth the price.

This place is the best ‘soul food’ I’ve ever eaten. I’m a vegetarian and only ate veggies, beans, dressing, dessert. OMG. My new fave place. Too bad only open Sundays. Pricey though... $23 after tip.

The soul is strong here. Food so good I didnt want to leave. Seating is tight on the inside but dont let that stop you. Friendly staff and patrons.

This was a very bad experience for me. Im on a Walker. there was no way for me to get to the counter to fix my plate so my plate was fixed for me and they said if you get another plate you would have to pay for it . It was so congested and you would have to reach over food to get what you wanted. This place is too small and to Me very unsanitary because when you walk in the door you are met with food . Board of health should take a look at that place.It is too crowded and congested and a fire hazard. The food that I had was greens and little dressing And a pork chop. Someone had to fix my plate for me and thats why I need to have another to go back and get some food because they were trying to carry two and it was so crowded that they couldnt move around Taste of the food was fair.

Just ate lunch at this little gem...hidden diff 3rd and 17th. Supreme food and excellent service. You will not be disappointed. Ms. Barbara will take great care to make sure you have the very best dining. Experience!

The food here is so good. So much variety. Homey feel. Felt like we were eating out of someones grandmas kitchen. Nothing like eating from scratch!

A true hidden gem, everything was just as or better than grannys cooking.

They were closed on a big money day because they put people first. Not the dollar.... Thats how you know the food will be delicious. Praying for Granny. Ill catch yall next time.

The food was very good & southern home flavored with a wide variety of choices from entrees to desserts.Only downside is the facility is too small & it was inconvenient due to bumping into other diners or staff to get to/around the buffet line.The price is higher than any other home cooking buffet but the experience and the food was worth it.The staff were alert & attentive without being intrusive. Bathrooms were clean & no offensive odors.

Chicken, pork chops, roast (the kind they slice for you), vegetables that your grandmother would envy, and the desserts...just save some room, you will not be disappointed. Great servers, friendly locals, all you can eat for $18.

The food was excellent. The buffet had so many options. We all left there completely stuffed. It is a small place so it is a very tight fit. However, that just adds to the atmosphere.

I will admit Im kinda claustrophobic. I dont like to be crowded in, especially when eating. Thats exactly what happens when you eat here. Its a small building with a tight area for selecting your food and you will bump into others easily. The food was good; nothing to write home about though. Parking is rough at peak times. I like their catering service and have eaten from them on several occasions through my work. As for the restaurant, not sure I will return due to the tightness of the place.

The food and service is fine. Its cozy, so space is limited. The prices are a little expensive, unless you plan on eating a lot of food, which I didnt.

This review is gonna be short and sweet. Treat yourself to Gabriellas ASAP! This is what the south is all about... Amazing soul food done right. I have no clue why this place isnt mentioned in the convo of soul food restaurants in bham. The other places are good, but Gabriellas is great. Theres no reason you should leave here disappointed.Self serve buffet and dining areas feel snug but not a deal breaker at all. Now that its warm season, theres quite a bit of outdoor seating as well. Youll find 3 or 4 different meats, not to mention whats at the carving station. Theres a plethora of veggies to enjoy as well as a table full of desserts to feast on as well. For takeout, you can do a meat + 2 or a meat + 3. For dining in you have to do the $18 all you can eat and its so worth it. This includes of course as many plates, drinks and desserts as you want.Ive only been here twice but since the most recent visit, this place will definitely be added to the rotation. It was a great reminder on what weve been missing out on. Dont you miss out... Get on over to Gabriellas!

My husband and I happened to have stumbled upon this place about 1 yr ago and weve been coming back ever since. You have to love this place. A good ol soul food buffet in a cozy lil joint!!! I love it!!
