Great place on UABs campus. Truly a wonderful addition since my undergrad days. It had a wonderful feel, good design, and nice courtyards on each side.

Randall Stout designed the building and created a wonderful open space for a gallery featuring local and national artists. Even though it is called Institute for visual arts, I have seen and listened to several concerts that feature local neo-classic composers that interact with a particular exhibition. A very culturally satisfying experience.

Its always a pleasure to see student and staff work, and Ive gotten to meet multiple artists visiting the city. Their program is varied and membership perks are advised.
