I’m in town for training and have been exploring this beautiful city as much as I can within my months stay. I found Le Cafe Beignet just by chance...and gave it a try this morning. The establishment is absolutely beautiful! We don’t have many places like this in Michigan! The staff was very friendly and apologetic when my order took longer than planned. The food and coffee were delicious! I had the egg sandwich and Italian sweet cream iced latte. If you’re in a rush, this isn’t your place. But if you have a little time to relax, definitely give this place your business.
The Good:The food was really good. The customer service was great from the back kitchen staff to the owner. I love the way the restaurant is setup. The Bad:We arrived around 10:45 am and left a little bit after 1:00pm. I read in the reviews the wait time was a little bit long and was prepared for a little wait but due to them being understaffed they wait was even longer. I stayed because many people said it was worth the wait but those same people were upset that they waited even longer than usual on top of that some of them never received their food. Speaking of food we didn’t receive everything we ordered. Was it upsetting, yes, did we go crazy about it, no. We just asked for a refund for what we didn’t receive, although, that process took a while too. I also don’t like paying and tipping before I eat, which we did not tip up front and you can see from what I written above why I don’t like paying first because we could have left earlier and made space available for someone else.Overall:Would I go back again?Yes, but only if I have time to wait and if I’m at least the first couple of guest to arrive. During the entire time the owner held her cool with no problem. Although, I can recognize the chaos on the inside from certain body languages she made. I do think if you have never been to give this place a shot if you have TIME. This place can and will be AMAZING with minor changes.
Well, I cant rate the food and service. I never got a table. We had a 45 minute wait. Its now been 2.5 hours and still no word on our table. Ive tried calling to ask about our spot only to receive no answer. We went across the street to the Half Shell Oyster House for a cocktail and ended up staying for brunch. Do yourself a favor and pass on Le Cafe Beignet and enjoy a meal at the Half Shell Oyster House. The oysters were amazing!
I’m sorry that I was so excited about dining at this restaurant. After waiting 40 minutes for a table, we were seated at a filthy table. It was not just powdered sugar from the beignets, it was food crumbs and droppings caked on the table edge and crevices. Our food was brought out on paper plates with no utensils. I had to ask for utensils three times after the food was delivered before receiving them 10 minutes later. After asking for our drinks twice, we finally got water, but not the coffee we ordered. The waitress then came to tell us something was wrong with the machine that steams the milk for the cafe au lait. It was really bad. The restaurant is in a historic and charming building and location that makes one expect an awesome dining experience. The building lacked attention. The menu was posted in the front so you could order and pay before being seated. The staff seemed confused, lacked focus, and lacked customer service skills.
My daughter and I were just riding the cost and decided to stop here for brunch. It seems like an extremely popular place but the customer service was still great. We had a bit of a wait but the staff here was so friendly to both of us. The beignets were excellent as were the eggs, grits and bacon. We will be returning on our next trip down.
My 2nd time going went on a Saturday morning with a guest from. Out of town and my daughter. In my opinion the food wasnt as good and the service was good until they got busy, then we waited over an hour for our food without much care. I do believe they discounted our breakfast but Dont know for sure Because I never saw or received a itemized bill or ticket? It kinda sucks I really liked their French toast.
Terrible Service and Customer Service! We were the first customers there. We waited 1 hour and 20 minutes and never received our food. We only got our coffee and beignets and we had to wait 40 minutes for that. The plates that they brought us, that I had to ask for were dirty and had rust on one plate. The bad thing is we got up to leave and no one told us I’m sorry or apologize. They also overcharged us for a coffee. We should have not paid anything, actually they should have offered to us not to pay at all because of the bad service. We know customer service we’re in the public business and we have own Subways in the past.
Won’t be coming back. Came in from out of town, and thought this would be a cute, good place to try. Looks like it was short staffed, and we did not greeted when someone working behind the counter was looking at us. I then hear someone yell to our server “are you going to see those customers?” It was our servers first day and it seemed like she was being ordered around so I felt really bad for her. Just not a good atmosphere and took forever just to get coffee and beignets. When there was barely any customers.
The exterior & interior are beautiful however I have to agree with the other low reviews about the service. We had one lady who was taking orders, prepping the food/drinks, and serving. Our order was staggered and took 45-60 min to get to us. Maybe it’s the craziness of COVID? I would think the owners/managing staff would provide at least two servers rather than one...Our beignets were hot and delicious but not worth the wait. I would find another place to order breakfast.
Very unique establishment with great potential but the service was the worst Ive ever experienced. We were visiting from Florida and found the restaurant on Google as one of the Top 10 in the area. When we arrived there was zero guidance as to getting seated, ordering, paying, etc. After finally getting seated without ordering (you order and pay before being seated) we sat at the table for 20 minutes without any acknowledgement. I had to go back to the front and wait in line again to ask when we could order as others who came after us had already placed their orders. After ordering we waited about 20 minutes for water and mimosas and another 30 minutes for our food which came out at three separate times. With a table of six we all ate at different times. The food was not spectacular and certainly not worth the wait. I feel the restaurant needs a better ventilation system to help with the terrible smell of burnt cooking grease, significant guidance from the owner, and more experienced staff. This was not a pleasant trip and we would not revisit.
Cool idea but service is atrocious. This was our second visit (10/24 @ 11:30AM) and we left after waiting 30 minutes without being seated, put on a list, or given an ETA for a table. There was no one manning the door or controlling the line so we had no indication that a table was going to be ready any time soon.We first came here about 2 years ago and my primary memory was waiting ages for the food. I’m sure if we had waited around for a seat, we would have waited equally long for food to arrive. Lots of potential but mgmt needs to try harder...
My girlfriend and I were visiting from Atlanta, GA and found this great eatery! The food, customer service and drinks were exceptional!! Thank you Sita for the great experience! Will definitely make this stop apart of our future trips!
Tried this place three different times. Kitchen is always running behind. They take forever to greet you. We tried to call and make a reservation, and no one answers the phone. My overall experience, is poorly run.
Very unique. Lovely staff. Nice food. Really good place to just relax in while the food is somewhat secondary.Building requires a little more matainence, and the music could be more appropriate, otherwise great.
We had a group of 5 people. Once seated, they slowly brought out each persons food at different times. And we waited almost an hour for one persons food. They didnt seem to care so we got a refund. And then they brought her food that wasnt what she ordered to begin with. Not worth it.
Really nice people but I think they still need to figure out their system. The food is honestly pretty overpriced and the wait has been very long both times Ive been. When we showed up the second time around the time their hours started, we were told to wait for an hour or so because they didnt have all the groceries for the day yet...but their hours started already..
Placed our order at the front before being seated. Waited for an hour without drinks or food (basic bacon, eggs, grits). Finally two of our 7 food orders were delivered and we requested our drinks again (and silverware). Waited another 15 minutes for two more meals to be delivered. Asked once again for our drinks (1st two people were already done eating). We still did not get our drinks without having to go up front and ask again for our drinks. Two people in our party requested a refund so that they could go somewhere else to get food. We got a refund for some of our order that never came. We had three people in our party and our breakfast was $51, and was mediocre at best. The Gouda grits had no Gouda in them whatsoever. Will never go again.
Unfortunate dining experience. We went for beignets and breakfast. Took over an hr to get our breakfast and we ended up leaving after waiting another hr for the beignets, and never got them. I will never return. I certainly don’t blame the servers, it’s obviously a management problem.
Romantic, upscale casual venue. Busy spot but worth the patience ten fold. The shrimp and grits are the best Ive ever had, and Ive had quite a bit. Speciality coffee is fantastic but the mimosas take the cake. The wait staff is friendly and fast. Ask for Kya, shell take care of you.
If I could give this place a zero, I would. I was talking with the owner over the phone and through text trying to meet to plan an 18th birthday party for our daughter. The first established meeting time the owner had double scheduled herself and let me know she couldn’t meet about an hour before our scheduled time. That was no big deal, we planned another meet. I reached out three times through text to let her know I was on my way and making sure all was good, but none went through. I still drove the 30 minutes and showed up for our appointed time to find the place all locked up and no one in site. I tried to call the owners number we used to correspond to one another a couple of time and the recording said “this person is not taking calls at this time.” I am so disappointed in this owner. No care for potential clients. Terrible customer service. I have never dealt with any establishment that was this disrespectful and none caring for potentially clients.
Food was good and the people that opened were extremely nice. We ordered on line but no one got the order. Beignets were delicious
Ive gone two times. While the food is decent and service is usually pretty good, its still falling short of what it could be. The first time I went it was pretty packed and they had plenty of people working, but we were stuck in a room with a table that had an obnoxious child screaming and our server seemed to have given priority to everyone else but us. The second time was during pandemic restrictions and I truly felt bad for the gentleman that took our order. It does have a smaller menu, so the food comes out hot and cooked with consistency. The beignets leave a little something to be desired - theyre still really good, just not what I expect when biting into it. Overall, its a decent place that still has room for improvement.
Very beautiful premise, the beignet was great and a decent cup of coffee. Unfortunately the establishment does not appear to be able to handle a busier morning. We waited for over forty minutes for a mere cup of coffee and a single order of beignets TO GO.I probably would have the patience if were dining in and wished they would have told us the wait time was this long, as we were in a rush and would have gone somewhere else
Loved the layer back atmosphere! Didnt like the fact they had one poor girl working the front alone during a busy Crusin the Coast.. But the staff that showed up was great! But I didnt like the beignets. Sorry.
Amazing food and even better coffee... had the salted caramel latte and was hands down the best cafe coffee Ive had in this area. all the food was superb and service was great.building is super upscale with old jazz playing in the background and setting is very homely. You can tell they took a house and turned it but this is done very well with intimate seating arrangements. If you want good service go during a time youll get it... not when itll be the most busy. went just after opening and staff couldnt be nicer. Will totally be going back here before heading out of the area. Job well done guys
Dont miss this place! By far the best breakfast experience youll have for years to come. Ok, the beignets were great, but wait there is more. French toast, shrimp and grits, and much much more to enjoy. The building was a library many years ago so seating is in multiple rooms with 2-4 tables in each room. Tall windows let in tons of natural light, and the place still maintains an old charm. Even the coffee was terrific. Parking is tight behind the building, but do-able and there is an elevator for those needing a handicapped accessible entrance.
I have come here twice in the last week for breakfast before 10am only to see that they ate closed with food on plates still sitting outside. Neither there website or Facebook page says they are closed and no sign on the door.... waist of gas!
Stopped in for Sunday brunch and loved it! The decor is cute, and the building simpler on the inside. The Breakfast Sandwich was better than expected from reading the menu, and was done perfectly.I also had the butter rum beignets and was thrilled by how delicious they were! I thought New Orleans was supposed to be the beignet spot, but Mississippi clearly has them beat. These were just better made than any I’ve had before, and sauce was sweet and flavorful.Highly recommended and I’ll be going back before I leave town.
Menu is select but to be fair, I am a meat and potatoes type of guy. I was able to find suitable food for entree but the rum sauced beignets are awesome! Would give a 4.5-5 star except staff was tactless and quite rude to start our last visit. Enough so that we chose to eat elsewhere. He may have been having a bad day. I would still recommend for the beignets but I will probably not return.
I usually do not leave reviews even negative ones but I have to on this one. We were excited to try this place. The service was terrible,...our orders came out late. We didnt receive one order and had to ask for a refund on it. When we did receive our drinks the ice was melted completey making them terrible as well. We were given no silverware or napkins and had to ask that our table be wiped down. The portions are small and prices are to high for the service and food received and to make matters worse their beignets were pretty bad as well.
Waited almost an hour to just get our coffee. Never got our water. Table was filthy when we sat down. Tables next to us never got cleared the hour and a half we were there. Cashier was fighting with another customer in front of everyone. Food orders were wrong. Told to sit at a certain number table even though tables are not numbered. Im usually not confrontational, but this place has quite possibly the worst service Ive ever experienced.
Its a very beautiful place. Its relaxing, super cute & has good food. Its the perfect spot to rent for a private event! And a great place to host a dinner. I had the opportunity to speak with the owner in passing she was very nice. The staff was professional, fresh and friendly. I cannot wait to have an event here in the future.
Beignets were good not great. Eggs and bacon were great! Grits ok
The beignets were delicious! Powder sugar went everywhere (as it should) with every bite.
Stumbled across this gem by accident, but so glad we did. This was an amazing place for breakfast, the food was out of this world, service was wonderful, and atmosphere was quaint. Highly recommend this as a must do.
Shrimp and grits was absolutely fantastic and the bacon is yummy. The beignets were hot and delicious. Loved my sweet creamed latte too. Also, Lee was our server and she was absolutely fantastic. Thank you, Lee, for being such a friendly and courteous staff member. You do Le Cafe Beignet proud.
By far the most elegant place I have ever dined
This is such a unique restaurant. A couple of the rooms are decked out with great southern furniture. The shrimp and grits was simply amazing and every bite flavorful. The waitress Savannah was very fun to talk to and she provided excellent service.
Beautiful place to go a grab a delicious beignet! I tried the butter rum with pecan and it was delicious, highly recommended!
Lovely place. Great Beignet!! They have a special Kings Beignet. Ask them!! Lunch was wonderful too. Nice menu.
If this critique will be taken as a way to improve....my husband and I were there 3 days ago ordered the grits egg and bacon and sharing beignets. One couple already left...seated after us...45 min later I questioned if they’d forgotten our order. response;I’ll check....20 min later the table next to us that also arrived after us said they were going....then we noticed a woman who was seated with her group from another room walking towards exit who complained she could wait no longer...4 groups of people!!! Did I mention after an hour we were told staff had just left to get bacon? This establishment has so much potential...great building and host was nice... but totally disorganized...could cause them more than just four groups of diners....
The food was amazing! Hats off to the chef. Yet the customer service sucks. I had to ask another waiter to get my waiter yet she still never came. After sitting for another 10 minutes upset she finally comes. I ask for the bill and a to go box, that took forever too. Then when I went to the register to pay. She is behind the register. Takes an over the phone order leaving me standing there waiting for her to hit the button on her end. She just ignores me. Another waiter comes over to hit the button then walks away. I add a tip even though she did not deserve one and yet again I am left standing there because she is still too busy on the phone to finish the transaction with me. The other waiter comes over again and hit the button and turns the screen so I can sign. The other waiter never looked up even though she was standing right there and could of and should of finished my check out before taking an order over the phone since she started it. Never said excuse me just answered the phone and forgot I was there. Very rude, worse customer service experience I have had! Great food yet I want be back to be treated like I dont matter.
Different place to have some brunch
Great food and drinks. But i think they lost our ticket and forgot about us because they took a hot minute and had to retake our order, but they were very friendly and gave us free drinks after the fact.
Very beautiful place, staff were excellent and food was amazing!! Will definitely be back!
Food awesome. Love the atmosphere
This was the first place I ate at down here in Biloxi. What a way to start the day. The butter rum beignets were to die for, and the vegetable quiche sandwich very good. The service and atmosphere were all you could ask for. I recomend it to anyone.
Great little breakfast/brunch place. Fresh food with amazing taste. Definitely worth the wait.
Horrible wait to get seated and terrible coordination amonst the staff. They didnt know who was on the waitlist and who wasnt at all. We left because it also was extremely hot inside the building like if they had no AC.
This place has real potential. With mostly only Waffle House, McDonalds and hotel restraints offering breakfast, we were excited to try a local cafe. When we entered we were warned to chose something else by a woman who had been waiting for a while. We should have heeded her warning. From the entry, we could see unique decor with odd non matching tables chairs and nice decorations. They had a stand in the lobby for TO GO orders. Apparently because of COVID they had put their menu on a bunch of boards in the lobby. You have to place your order in the lobby pay cash for it or pay an up charge of 2.5% for credit. You then get seated. We waited about an hour to be called and it appeared some parties that came after us were taken before us. When I went to ask about it our name had been removed from the list. They then took our order and we asked to sit outside. About 15 minutes later they showed up and asked for our receipt because the couldn’t remember what we ordered to drink. They then made the wrong drink - a hot coffee instead of iced and didn’t bring the waters we ordered. They did remake the coffee but apparently they don’t do a cold brew they just throw ice in their regular brew and weaken it down to nothing. It was awful. We waited about an hour for our food to arrive. Eggs were overcooked, the bacon was that thin precooked stuff you buy in the grocery and their famous cheese grits lacked flavor and were so watered down you couldn’t eat them with a fork which was the only utensil they gave us. My friends potatoes were undercooked. They offered us free beignets but they were overdone. The whole places stunk like overused frying oil.I highly recommend that you go to McDonalds or Waffle House because either just can’t be this bad. It was just awful.
Really good food and amazing service. Been there a few times. Would definitely recommend.February 2019 edit: its been six months and the food is still Amazing the southbound and down is phenomenal and so their creamsicle. The cake is some of the best cake I have ever had. Homemade and truly amazing. My wife also enjoyed their berry mimosas.
Place is beautiful, architecture takes you right to New Orleans when you step in the door. Great service! Delicious food! Great beignets for it to be MS. Seafood omelette and grits
The service is probably the worst I’ve ever seen. Needs new management.
The food was delicious and the servers Where are very helpful? Polite and generous And very helpful.
If I could give this place a zero, I 100% would! My husband and I thought we would walk over for a nice breakfast and boy were we wrong! We walked in, no one said a word, it was super busy so we just got in line, after waiting 30+ minutes to order, we get to the lady taking orders, who by the way moved as fast as your grandmother riding the Tour de France, all to be told they wouldn’t even take our order and there was a 30 minute wait to even place your order. They weren’t apologetic just kind of had deal with it attitudes. The staff seemed super unorganized. Saw one girl place her bare hands on top of a just opened champagne bottle to contain the fizz. Glad I wasn’t getting that mimosa/ covid 19. The AC did not work or wasn’t turned on, the music was blaring and there were flies everywhere. My husband and I left so disappointed. It’s truly sad because this could be the perfect spot for a quaint breakfast but it quickly turned sour. I do not recommend wasting your time. The service at Waffle House next door would have been better.
After traveling 20+ hrs from Europe the night before I was jet lagged and ready for a hearty breakfast. Let me tell you, Le Cafe Beignet knocked it out of the park. I walked in and had the most heart warming welcome from just about every staff member. I had the sweet cream latte and spicy seafood omelette. I can’t begin to describe how happy I was while I ate it. Will definitely be back for more!!!!
Delicious food. Great friendly staff. Definitely recommend giving this business your money.
This is just a great place. Not expensive but fantastic food
Deserves 10 stars! Great atmosphere, very unique dining experience. Excellent food with a French flare. Beignets with a rum praline sauce seemed sinful. Fresh seafood and veggies in omelet. Friendly service...A must visit!
So first and only time Ive been here was today; so my review is based on one experience. I dont plan on returning. The review is 2 star as opposed to 1 star as I really liked the lay out and the building.Experience. So I get here and am following a couple that had cut into the place when I was about 50 from building. They are being greeted in the foyer when I walk in. The waiter/greeter is reading them the menu from about half a dozen posted boards that are distributed around the room. I believe they were first timers as well as they looked as confused as I did. While waiting (and listening to the menu) I look around and it appears that I am the fifth customer of the day. There is the couple that walked in before me and one couple seated at a table. While the people in front of me are deciding what they want (we all just came the realization that you order before you sit). Its a weird nuance, but it does provide some benefit as it should allow faster service. My only real objection is that while they are ordering I have almost no where to stand in the foyer - it is small enough that even in a non Covid time I would almost feel like Im intruding.Right about now (and this should have been my first sign) the guy who was sitting comes up to the counter to ask the waiter/greeter and another person who I guessed was the manager about getting his coffee. He was told they had 5 call out orders in front of him and he would have it in a minute. (Keep in mind I wasnt 100% paying attention until I heard the response and it shocked me enough I started paying attention.) From here I decided to just go with the flow and hope the food was worth it. Plus I wasnt in a particular hurry. So couple before me orders and gets sat at a table. I order and get sat at a table. Breakfast was about $20 but I had a mimosa and coffee so reasonable. Key point I would like to make here - we got sat at a specific table. This should have allowed them know our location.A couple minutes later I get my drinks and send a picture to the spouse. Then wait for what seems like a long time for food. I had ordered eggs/bacon/grits/toast combo they had. Time from photo to food delivery 26 minutes. Remember, I was the fifth customer of the day. I watched my food make multiple trips around the building and it tried to be served to at least 2 other tables. When it arrived it was somewhat cold and somewhat disappointing. All in all I loved the concept it was just so poorly implemented it just isnt worth it. By the way as I was leaving the place was still less than 1/2 full but there was a line forming at the door to try and get in.
Service was super fast and so kind. It has amazing decor inside. It was perfect for our girls morning brunch! A small quaint place so expect a wait time but one thats well worth it! I will be back and my breakfast sandwich was to die for..... hence why no photo just had to dig in!
The service made up for the food. Our waiter was a really sweet gentleman, very polite, very timely, overall he was 5 stars. But something about the presentation of this place. For example, my husband got the Biloxi sampler as his meal and you can see each of the soup/chowders/etc came in cups with huge pieces of bread that dont fit in said cups. Do you pour it on the small bowl of rice? Do you sip it? What exactly is going on? I got the spicy crab something, which read like it was going to be a sandwich, but you can see its a layered dish and the quiche is a lot larger than Id prefer bc it starts to overtake the rest of the Gouda and crab and sauce. The iced coffee was delicious though, I would not recommend the strawberry milk though. Not my favorite place but it was cute inside, the service really was impeccable, just not my cup of tea.
While the food isn’t bad. The wait to get it just simply isn’t worth it. The place seems to be run by incredibly unorganized management; even basic orders they can’t get out in under an hour! It’s unfortunate that Biloxi doesn’t have better breakfast options because this one falls FLAT.
Good food & friendly staff
Quaint little slice of home.
Food was good, a little pricey for the amount of food we got. You also have to order and pay before you sit down, which causes a backlog at the entrance.
Yum! Such a great atmosphere. We were seated quickly and our food came out nice and hot.
Todays experience was a carry out,we were hugely disappointed, dine in is better quality
Overall a place with awesome presentation, style, and staff. I intend to go here again. I had a carved turkey sandwich that was well presented and mixed spicey and sweet wonderfully. The royale shot is tasty if you want a quick bit of coffee. Its chicory based as well! My folks loved their soup, and everything else they had.
There is nothing special about this place except the building. Most definitely not gourmet.Eggs have no taste, no flair.I asked for cream for the coffee and was given powdered cream packets.Places like this that have you pay before you are served remind me how I hate to do that. I added 20% tip and regret that I did.Inexperienced wait staff.
Both kinds of beignets they offer are exquisite! So light and fluffy!
It wasnt as good in the past. My egg was over cooked and dry. The food I got wasnt worth the money. The guest I brought enjoyed their meal. I wasnt going for beignets.
Great food and atmosphere. At first, it seemed as if they were too busy, or understaffed, but once we were served, the experience was fine. Definitely recommend this place for brunch. Beignets were fantastic!
A must stop experience in Downtown Biloxi for brunch or a bite to eat! This was the old historic Biloxi Library that turned into such a great restaurant! Such a cozy vibe! Each room is a different theme and full of antique furniture and decors. The beignets with the bourbon sauce topped with pecan was simply amazing! The beignets were airy and not soggy, just perfect with the sauce! Great spot to enjoy great food and company! Remember to bring cash with you, they do have a surcharge of 2.5% if you are using a credit/debit card. Will be back soon!
Love the style and decor in this building. Terrific food, great service, awesome setting
The French toast was a unique egg and French bread combination and tasty. The egg omelette was created as a sandwich and savory. (Unfortunately, there was only one staff person as waitress for the entire restaurant so service was slow (perhaps it was just this one day). Regardless, the food was good (although I would have liked another cup of coffee!).) There are a variety of unique dishes on the menu which I am eager to try next time.
We just walked out of there. My wife went in the day before to look and we decided to eat breakfast the next morning as we left for New Orleans. Walked in. Sat down in room with smoke in air. Must have poor exhaust system if any. We ordered breakfast, the couple seated across from us were complaining about the wait for food and drinks, and items were cold. I wanted to leave hearing this, but I stayed. I should have left. My wife’s coffee drink came out and it was good. My simple coffee came out 10 minutes later and was cold. I sent it back and she actually brought me a hot one. My wife’s shrimp and grits came out. Looked good, she liked it. My 2 eggs bacon, toast and grits came out ice cold. I carried plate to hostess and said take it off the bill. I sat and watched my wife eat, and I’ll have breakfast in New Orleans. I eat in a diner where 150 people eat at a time, food always comes in a timely manner, hot and good. They can’t handle 15 people.I will not return, obviously, never recommend and they better get some management in there or there will be a for rent sign on that building. Poor poor poor. I should have had breakfast at the Beau Rivage across the street.
This place is a treasure! Delicious food, extremely friendly people. Fantastic find!
Great breakfast and fantastic service. The beignets are amazing but I thought the best way the shrimp and grits. A must place to stop by if you are in Biloxi!
We went to Le Cafe Beignet on a Saturday morning. They were a little busy but not too bad. The service was very unorganized, the beignets are not that great, the food is overpriced, and everything is served on plastic plates. I dont like posting reviews, bad or good, but looks can be deceiving with Le Cafe Beignet and I want people to be aware. Dont waste your time or money!
Great atmosphere, food and service. Ask for Ken. Hes great!
Le Cafe Beignet is a hidden treasure. My husband and I ate there for the first time on Tuesday and we were absolutely amazed. Le Cafe has the most friendly staff and the food is absolutely delicious. Our waiter Ken and the gentleman he was training were very attentive, pleasant and informative; I enjoyed them sharing some of the history of Le Cafe Beignet. Also, the atmosphere is warm and welcoming. We will definitely return again.
The atmosphere was very peaceful and the food was absolutely amazing.
Food was alright, never had beignets that dense before. Took a long time. Whole place was full of smoke. You could barely get through the other table to the dining room with the one big table because there wasnt any walking room between the chairs. Bathroom was very nasty and unkept. The table and chairs we sat at were covered in powdered sugar and sticky fingers.
Such a delightful cafe! Absolutely lived the creamsicle mimosa! Will return for more
Love this little place. The decor is adorable and the food devine. The shrimp and grits with bacon is my favorite item.
Very classy, quaint place for breakfast! The Beignets are FABULOUS!!
Absolutely TERRIBLE service. Its unfortunate biloxi doesnt have a lot of breakfast places because this place is not worth the wait. We got half our order 2 hours before the other half came out!!!!! and this was an hour after we even ordered. honestly throw the whole place away!!!!
Absolutely divine! Lovely atmosphere, friendly staff, reasonable prices, and amazing food. The French toast was the best I have ever had. I cannot wait to go back!
Great atmosphere, fast service, laid back and food was truly lovely. Butter rum beignet stack is sinful! The coffee and espresso with chicory is really nice complement. Will definitely be back whenever Im in Biloxi!
After waiting 35 minutes for a table for 2 we where then told that they were sold out of half the menu. Customers should be told prior to waiting that long that there is a limited menu. Food came out a separate times so one person was done eating by the time others food came out.
House full of seats available, arrived with a party of 4, told it would be 30 minutes before our order could be put in the system so am I sure I want to stay! Needless to say we walked out! In my world business is a blessing not a curse!
I would have given 5 stars. However, we found out when we were paying for our meal, that there is 2.5% charge for using a credit/debit card. There was no mention of the upcharge prior to that. Otherwise, the food was amazing, fresh, and served in generous portions.
While quality of service is a key component in any customer service oriented business, my opinion tends to diverge on the importance of it when it comes to food service. The quality of the FOOD should be the most important factor, after all I wont be putting the service in my mouth. That being said the sevice was top notch on a Sunday afternoon in mid July during a pandemic. Sunday is either the best day to eat here, or ownership has been paying attention to the reviews bombing the service portion. A good portion of negative reviews mentioned the food being good by the way, lol. Speaking on the food, it was excellent! The seafood stuffed portobello and shrimp and grits were hot and delicious. This is a highly underated brunch spot in the heart of Biloxi.
Worst place ever, its slow as Christmas we waited almost 2 and 1/2 hours for our food note:we only got drinks after waiting an hour and never got a refill, the food came out cold so I know it was sitting for a minute. Tasted pretty awful me and my family will definitely not be coming back
