The location was difficult to get to - we went around several times as the signs were confusing. The road leading up to the museum was shared with the airports paid parking and if you miss the turn, you need to exit entirely and start over. The inside of the museum was very clean and well put together chronologically. The male staff was welcoming and informative on the tidbits of the museum (first floor). The second floor (dwnstrs) was surprisingly spacious with numerous collections - mainly about Chief Joe Medicine Crow. The time spent admiring the entire museum took apprx. 1.5 hours (this included the video in the beginning).

Fantastic smaller museum in front of the airport with some of the best views in the city. Fairly unique collection including the only publicly displayed set of Indian ghost dance. Dont miss Charlie and Russell, the two headed calf. Very nice collection of firearms from 1800s to WW2.

Great museum, looks small from the outside but has a large full basement. Definitely check it out if in the area. The museum is free of charge but does accept donations which Im sure they appreciate. The main man running the museum was very friendly, genuine, and very interested in his work. His positive vibes were great!

This is of one of those gems in your home town everyone means to go to someday and they never do. A wonderfull museum in an odd out of the way place that chronicles Easter Montanas Pioneer homesteaders and the high plains native Americans. Now a county museum, curated, staffed by helpful volunteers. Well worth a trip to the top of the rims for a couple hours delight. Free parking. All facilities.
