Came here for a day dive and rented gear. Really wonderful staff, everyone is helpful, kind, and works quickly. The gear was in great shape too. Make sure to reserve your equipment at least 24hrs in advance! If equipment isnt available, theres two other dive shops nearby that you can check. The dive was interesting, theres plenty to see and explore and well definitely have to go back. The property is also beautiful, looks like a great place to camp. Thank you again to the staff!!
Good to see Dutch Springs open again! The park was crowded with divers and scuba classes even though the aqua park and climbing attractions are closed this season. We got there when the park opened at 8am and the parking filled up quick. The weather was great with water temps in the mid 70s and good vis. Had a great time!
Absolutely love this place. Amazing diving spot and they accommodate your every need. Love love love diving here! I hope to camp here soon too
Water was very nice and the aqua Park was def fun (went with 4 adults and 4 kids... Def meant for kids 5 and up). Takes a lot of upper body strength to climb on and do the aqua Park. Snack bar wasnt badly priced either... My only complaint is I wish they had more of a beach part just to hang in. They had a small ramp into the water that little kids played in but I wish it was a bigger spot. Other than that we all had a blast and will return.
This place is amazing, first came here with ODonnell diving back in 2005 to get my diving cert, spent another year here getting rescue certified. now 12 years later I bring my wife and son and it was an amazing time. everyone has to wear a vest in the aqua Park which allows parents to breathe a little easier. it was not crowded, the life guards are very friendly and approachable. will definetly come back here.
Have been going there for years. Great place. Clean. Friendly staff. Safe. Highly recommended
I love Dutch springs, the water is clean. My only complaint is there needs to be an adult swim area. I would like to just swim around this beautiful clean water, without kids splashing around me. Need more swim room.
Finished my open water certification here in 2018, great place for multiple dives and the wrecks are a big plus, can finish dives without tide and surge worries.
Pretty cool place to dive if you have to dive in land and away from tropical destinations.
Overall, it was great with interesting submerged items to dive on. Just come early if you are picking up Will Call tickets, or you will be there for a while.
Although the water is often cold and the visibility isnt great.... Its a great place for a dive certification or to get a couple of extra dives. Parking is good. The area is well kept. The changing room is very clean... air conditioned.. and has two shower stalls. The patrons are friendly, and gave us some tips. Nice picnic tables and they have a small restaurant if you need food..
The best scuba park in the country easily. Great facilities, attractions, and safety measures
Great diving and not so crowded for a holiday weekend
Very unefficient service. If you want to buy your tickets online make sure you do it with a few days in advance cause they take a while to send them to you and they are not very helpful at the windows. They definitely have a huge room for improvement.
Great training ground for divers.
Wonderful place to swim, until one day the torso of Ralph Ciffereto floated to the surface.
A great day with the family!Went with people ages 7-50 and we all had a lot of fun!Only things to note...if you want to do the dry activities such as zip line and stuff don’t forget to bring sneakers! We didn’t know it required that and didn’t bring it so we weren’t able to do that stuff. But overall still had fun. Would recommend for a great family day
This place is pretty amazing. Entire family enjoyed hours of entertainment. Our age range was 5-40 everyone got a healthy work out! Highly recommend for some healthy family activity.
The staff is fantastic and very caring. The team building is a lot of fun and Kathy, the lady who runs it, is extremely kind and thoughtful. In the late summer, the water can often be clouded by algae and silt kicked up from some of the divers, but the staff is helpful in making sure you are safe and enjoying yourself. The vast swimming area is filled with floating activities to participate in. A few of these include slides, trampolines, and obstacle courses, all of which have lifeguards watching over them. The water in that area is crystal clear and you can see many feet down, and you will not touch the bottom or seaweed (for those of have a slight fear of such things). Its a great place to bring scouts for team building and diving patches. It also has inclusive birthday party packages. Overall, it was an absolutely lovely place to camp and spend a weekend. ️
About what you would expect - at $40-$50 pp, I would have liked to see some shower facilities, some lockers, and perhaps a few updates on some of the entry-way exits. That aside, Dutch is a quarry filled with water from an underground aquifer. There are boats, firetrucks, trolleys, airplanes and helicopters to see underwater. If you are looking for warm water and wildlife dont go to Dutch. Viz when I was there (first visit) was 10 to 15 feet and the thermocline was at 30 feet.
So I brought my two year old daughter there yesterday thinking there were bouncy things she could do but to my surprise there was nothing for her age group. It was all directed towards the older children/adults. The only thing we could do was the paddle boats.I was kind of disappointed and won’t be back anytime soon.
Is good for diving
WOW! I was super surprised at how much fun we had at Dutch Springs. We went on a hot July day and the cold water was refreshing. There are lots of rafts and floats for kids and adults to do.I would recommend this place to kids age 6 and older as the floating rafts are not simple to climb. Also, it was a little scary at times when older kids were jumping from high places without any regard for who is in the water below them. I guess this is why you sign a massive waiver when you buy your tickets...We had not idea this was more like going to the beach rather than an amusement park. We thought we would NOT be able to bring in outside food. WE WERE WRONG. When we go again we are going to pack full coolers of food and make a real day out of it with our beach chairs and tents. I thought about camping on site however I changed my mind. Note that alcohol is not allowed in the park or campground. This combined with the no open fires rule would make for a less than satisfying experience in my opinion. Your mileage may vary. Also, I would have loved a section of the lake where there was less commotion, like an adult swim only section. Along those same lines, a smaller area for real young kids would have been cool too.Overall, if your children are of the right age to be climbing these large inflated structures then this place is a MUST VISIT!
Four stars are for the waterpark, I did not have the opportunity to try the scuba diving, which is a shame, heard there is a fire truck and airplane at the bottom of the lake. The water features are thrilling, yet very much adult oriented, expect some people in your party to leave with some minor scrapes. The staff are highly professional and friendly.
A beautiful, natural environment with a nice lake, open areas for camping, picnicking, playing ball or just relaxing. Fantastic scuba facility with rentals and aqua Park and aerial Park for the kids. Food at the concession stand and a gift shop on site.
The rocks cut into my feet and me and my friends wanted to come and have a good time, but then when everything was either 2 or 4 people my 5th friend couldn’t do anything. Also I’m a healthy 6ft 135 and I didn’t have any blubberous fat people on the fat boy and I just rolled off. Also how am I supposed to dispose my charcoal while grilling here. Come on.
Had a blast doing my dry suit certification!
Premier dive site where you will find world class divers and newbie divers. It is one of the most sought out dive spots in the tri-state area. You will even find people coming from as much as four to five hours away to dive there. The controlled open environment with all its underwater attractions at different depths make it one of the most interesting places to learn or practice the sport of scuba diving. It also has been featured in many scuba diving magazines. Highly recommended!
Amazing place so much fun we come here every year and it never disappoints
My boyfriend and I went to Dutch Springs to dive for the weekend. Not only did we dive, but we also needed to check out the aqua park after hearing everyone have a blast the day prior. The staff is extremely knowledgeable, helpful and professional. The site was clean, safe and fun for all ages. There is so much diving to be done! So much to see underwater, we cannot wait to come back.Thank you to the owners and their team for a weekend well spent.
Good for kids
This was mine and my familys first time here . It was AWESOME .. we will be back .
I dive there several weekends a year. Something for everyone from someone just getting certification to advanced open water divers. Aquapark and skyzone for the non divers of the family.
I took my kids and their friends ages 14-16 and they were extremely disappointed with the changed made to the park since last year. They were done and ready to leave after an hour! The obstacle courses no longer have the large platforms to jump off of at the end, the whole point of course was to jump off the platforms! They also have lifeguards limiting the amount of kids on the courses to maybe 4 at a time. The kids loved it when there were a lot of kids on it and trying to race each other which you can’t do any more so it’s not fun. They added another trampoline which they didn’t need since they already have two! Luckily, they still have the kayaking because they went out on the kayaks for a while and enjoyed that! We’ve been there every year and loved it but this year was a big let down.
Very fun experience but the food was amazing as well
First time going to this place and I loved it so much fun things todo the save guard are really nice people who really enjoyed my time it was worf spending my money here my kids enjoyed it
Weekend of scuba diving. Well organized and helpful staff. Great facility with room to spread out. Large clean convenient bathroom facilities. Diving was a blast with many underwater features. We will be back.
Very beautiful and family friendly establishment. Safety is their first priority and they accomplish this very well. Easy to locate and courteous and friendly staff. Would recommend for any family to visit. My family had a blast!
Alright, so my expectations werent crazy high. My girlfriend and I came on a more dreary day. We started out with renting a kayak. Well priced. 10 dollars for a double for 45 minutes. It was a decent amount of space (although we were the only people out there so the whole space was ours). Being able to look over the edge of the kayak and see the rock formations to the bottom of the quarry was pretty cool along with the fish. After the kayaking, we made our way to the waterpark. Climbing on anything required more upper body strength than my girlfriend had and the handles are also footholds and hurt to use. It would have been awesome if it cost somewhere around 10 dollars to enter. For the cost, I wasnt that impressed. I could have spent double and went to Kalahari and had a blast. Silver lining was the fact that cost of admission also includes the arial park, right? Wrong. It was drizzling so we had no access to the arial park but of course still paid full price. Which honestly didnt seem like too much of a loss because there wasnt much to the arial park anyway. The zipline looked kind of fun and I would have liked to give it a shot but even that seemed pretty short which is odd because theres so much land. I feel like they have the potential to really turn that place into a destination and I guess Im more disappointed that they really havent. Instead its like a wet glorified playground. The apathy of the staff didnt really add to the experience either. With that being said, I wish I had the extra cash to try scuba. I feel like that would be an awesome experience in the quarry. Overall my rating is just kinda meh. It wasnt horrible, it wasnt great.
Awesome
My kids and I always have a blast here. Its become a summer tradition to spend a day at Dutch Springs. The kids love the inflatable obstacle course. They especially love getting launched on the blob thing. Very clean and reasonably priced. Staff has always been friendly and helpful. Always plenty of parking. Not a bad way to beat the heat on a summer day.
Love this place. Great for the family. Clean and friendly. Fun for the entire family. They also offer scuba diving for this that are into that. Have a blast every time I go there. Better then going to the shore.
This place is atrocious, the lifeguards can not do there job... Never take your kids or campers here. Let’s go Mets!
The entire place is 50ft deep and we have to swim or tred the entire time which isnt so bad since they provide life jackets. My kiddos are 10 and they had tons of fun. Lots of fun obstacles to climb and jump.
Fantastic experience! The life guards were all very nice. Its really a unique place to visit. Everything from kayaking to the water trampolines was a really fun time.
Great fun for the whole family
I went to Dutch Springs last summer and it was awesome!!! I enjoyed it so much and its really a great place to go We went in August so the water was at a good temperature so I recommend coming at that time!:)
Been going here for a few years now and I can say Stu,the owner and all of his crew of workers bust their rear ends to accommodate the large crowds of people learning and teaching scuba diving to the other water activities, plus the inflatables in the fun water park, this large fresh water quarry will keep you and your family busy for the day, large groups are welcome also,Ill be back again
Great place for Scuba Diving. Lots of things to explore underwater, platforms at varying depths for people to gather/congregate around, varying depths of bottom as well. Great for beginner and intermediate divers alike.
We bought tickets ahead of time - and they packaged them incorrectly. Last time they honored them. Based on what we were told, we came back again and they were not honored. They charged us $66 after previously agreeing we were already covered. The kid working the desk didnt care at all.The park is fun but BADLY understaffed. If you come while its crowded, it can be scary as well as dangerous. My last time here I saw someone leave on a stretcher.
Such an amazing place to visit! Such a shame the staff doesnt know how to treat their guests!! $500.00 birthday party for my daughter and saw a host ONCE. Food order was completely wrong, soda came after food and was warm, ice for soda came after cake. I spent 1/2 the day looking for supplies and the hosts (we were supposed to have 3!!!)... I was told when booking there was a discount to order food from their snack bar (nope, food is not included in the $500), the discount was literally 75 CENTS OFF a $70.00 bill!!! Was told kayak/paddle boats were included for 2 hours of the day. My guests paid not knowing this, when I told them about it being included, the staff gave them their money back and then had the nerve to charge them after there boat rides, stating, Its just not included today WTH? These people clearly do not know how to be organized or throw a party but they have no problems taking your money!!!! Which is a shame, because the attractions are a lot of fun... if you choose to go here, just be prepared because nobody else there is!!!! Mistakes happen, things get screwed up but this staff could not care less. It was as if we were bothering them by pointing out these things....Total waste of $500!!!! Would have gotten better treatment at the McDonalds play zone! BTW... Mgr wasnt there and I never got the call back I requested!
Love this place, and we going back Next Saturday August 11,with my whole Family is so peaceful n Beautiful,if some one let me I will spend my whole summer there lol
I recently went with a friend and it was great. The aqua park is big, fun, and has very short lines if there even are any.I prefer this place over amusement parks because of the lack of lines and rather inexpensive prices. Definitely would recommend to someone who loves amusement parks but hates lines
Have been to Dutch Springs several times over the past 2 years. Great experience. The kids had fun, I had fun, the place is clean, staff is great, food is reasonable, water is crystal clear... Going again next week!
Absolutely loved it and so did the kids...we will definitely visit again
Absolutely fantastic experience. I took my four year old son with trepidation, concerned there would be nothing for him, as it looked more older kid and adult oriented. He, and I, had a great time. We will be back again and again.
Best diving training location in the north east
Great place to obtain dive skills!
#ScubaventureFirst I would like to point out how great the staff was. We came to Dutch spring to visit some friends in the area and try out this diving location. The staff did a really good job at getting us ready and was really helpful. Gear fitting and sign in was a breeze! It would be good to mention that this was our first fresh water dive and although the visibility wasnt that great due to the time in the season, 5-10 depending on the depth, we still had an amazing couple of dives. It was a good learning curve and the staff onsite were very knowledgeable. One recommendation would be to come any time before and after August as the algae dies off and the water becomes clear again, at this time, visibility can be as far as 60. This said, the water park is open regardless and a great way to spend the rest of the day. We had a blast running through the water obstacle course and jumping off THE BLOB and the WIBIT!As for the property, it was incredibly well maintained. Facilities were clean, property was clean. All in all it was a very, very pleasant experience. Big thanks to Stu and his team!#AOMK
Should not allow people to blast awful music!
This place is so much fun, the water is amazing and very clear. Fun attractions and a beautiful view. With that said, the customer service is very poor. Rude lifeguards and poor management. Overall fun place, but the way I was treated was not appreciated.
I had to run out in the morning to grab some spoons and bowls for breakfast and they would not let me back in for an hour and a half. I wish someone would have told me I would be locked out. I had other kids at the camp site waiting for us. Bad experience. Would not recommend this place.
I have been diving for 15+ years. This is a good, cold water, dive spot. Get a season pass early and really save some money. There tends to be allot of divers (over 200) on weekends. With that many divers there will be some who are not trained competently which relates to any deaths there. Its a safe dive.
Great place for scuba training and practice.
Dutch Springs is a very fun and clean place. There were a lot of people there when we went and some of them just loved to break the rules and they wouldnt be noticed . The lifeguards dont pay attention. Another thing is that everyone HAD to wear a life jacket. The life jacket is very uncomfortable and it rubs against you when you swim. Everyone who I went with got eritated skin because of this. So Dutch Springs is fun but annoying at the same time.
This taco bell has great service but they could be a little more quick due to the shortage if staff but overall i think this is a great taco bell and that they should be acknowledge
Very fun place with reasonable prices. Snack bar service was a little slow, but the venue is a lot of fun and plenty to do for everyone in the family.
This place is phenomenal. Doesnt matter how old you are the inner kid in you will come out, and dont worry if you cant swim. They provide life vest
Great training ground for divers. The quarry-bean as we call it has a great setup for instructors with platforms at 25 feet, onsite lookout staff, fill station with air and EAN32, and many attractions. The new plane suspended in 2016 is awesome!
It was very very boring no one was able to climb to most of the “rides” only some and the water was 15feet it was very very boring
A huge percentage of divers certified in the Northeast have done at least some of their open water training at Dutch Springs. For those within an hour or two drive, it provides a great resource for those divers who want to remain current, have some fun, hone their skills, and meet tons of like-minded folks. Sure, there are plenty of well-heeled island divers who complain about visibility and the boring nature of Dutch, but as someone who has been diving there for nearly 20 years, I say one thing: expand your horizons. There are plenty of ways to mix up and vary the Dutch experience -- all while improving your skills. My buddies and I typically start with a long loop that starts at the Peninsula, covers the trolley, the deep car, the 6x, the deep hole, the tanker, the island and the Comet -- all in a single dive. Then try going from Peninsula to the Cove, and navigate to the Sikorsky and the bus on the way back. Good dives! In short, Dutch allows me to dive regularly without breaking the bank or heading to divorce court! Get a season pass for the next year late in the season, and youll make your money back after six trips to the quarry.
This place is very clean and fun, but it is not thought out very well. When you get to the aqua park, they have a small board of rules which include no diving or flipping. Very understandable, but when you have hundreds of kids who go into the park the lifeguards are constantly blowing their whistles and it is verg annoying. They should clearly have the rules set up around the aqua park. Another thing is that there is only 4 people allowed on the trampoline. There is no rule saying this so the lifeguards are having to blow their whistle every 40 seconds to tell people to get off. This place could have a lot more potential if they design it better
This place has 4 water trampolines, 2 in the water inflated course and this thing were someone sits on the end of this inflatable and anyhow person jumps on and catapults the other one. They also have inflatable mountains to climb!! Awsome
Great place. The inflatable slides, reasonable snack bar, and open area. You have to get their early to get one of the lounge chairs both inside the fence and on the outside, however you can bring your own chairs as well. Family friendly and it’s nice to have the life jackets onsite. May need some more slides on the day we went because it was packed. The water temperature was a little chilly but then it was fine. Overall we will definitely be back with friends and family. Hidden gem in the Lehigh Valley.
They keep improving every year, great place to learn to dive.
Had a blast during our first open water dive
Excellent facility for diving, swimming, and camping. Always love this place.
Nice place, pleasure staff, snacks bar, restrooms - everything was good.
We had a wonderful time is the staff is very friendly and helpful.
If you can scuba dive here you can do it anywhere! Clean property & facilities including a great shower!
Dutch spring
Nice dive site, friendly staff, clear water, numerous underwater objects to dive at various depths
Very fun nice snack bar petty clean for a quary and safe ( life jackets ) one thing they should fix is the obstacle Course bc when it get to be like three thirty it is sorta inflated in some spots
This place is awesome I went out on a snorkeling tour and saw two airplanes a helicopter a school bus and a fire truck
A fun family experience swimming in a clean lake.
This place is very good because I did my two certification dives for my PADI SCUBA Diver certification with blue water divers there on September 19 2015. I also recommend this quarry because according to PADIs website Dutch Springs is located in the Lehigh Valley of Pennsylvania is home to one of the largest freshwater dive parks in the country, with numerous underwater platforms for open-water training and a variety of artificial reefs. Divers can also explore a playground of artificial reefs and wrecks including airplanes, a pilot boat and a cement truck. If any Diver is looking for a dive park that has freshwater with no waves and a controlled environment then this place is for you.Remember: If you are going to this quarry for scuba diving, aqua park and sky challenge make sure you fill out a waiver otherwise they dont let you in
Its a nice place to train and improve your skills, water visibility is decent and there are some interesting artifacts on the bottom. Not that much underwater life though, but I guess thats to be expected in a quarry.
Grate place to learn how to scuba and increase your skills. However not much marine life to see, as it is an old cement factory that was flooded and fish planted.
Me and my family were here today. The place was nice and the water was clean, however I dont think they hire anyone over the age of 16. There were 2 lifeguards there that were extremely rude. One of them actually dropped an f-bomb in front of me and my family. This long haired surfer looking kid was complaining about inservice while he and this skinny shaved headed blonde kid who spoke a foreign language were waiting for people to exit the water. At one point this skinny shaved headed kid started talking about a kid and her father who wanted to go on the fat boy, while they were right there after he wouldnt let them go on. It was incredibly rude and I felt bad for the guy. Even though the place was fun, not sure if Id go back because the customer service is horrible.
Its a quarry full of water for SCUBA diving, and a water park. The diving is interesting and there are a lot of underwater attractions, but if you get there on a weekend, youll get to test your navigation skills since its very busy and the water is very silty and stirred up.The owners re very compulsive about rules for pretty much everything. If you read their website and can deal with the restrictions, its a lot of fun. If you find the rules restrictive, Youre going to have a bad time.Im not sure how to give this any number of stars since theres nothing in the area to compare it to.In the end, its what you make out of it. If you go camping and diving with a bunch of friends, its a ton of fun.
Make sure u rent out kyack the only good thing
