Ate at Corked tonight with my husband. Celebrating our 25th wedding anniversary with a weekend in Bethlehem, and could not be happier with our experience at Corked. Food was amazing, but the best part was Kai. He made sure we had not only the best service possible, but also added his personal touch. Well come back again & look for Kai!
Had dinner here on Friday evening with my wife. Food was good, service was fantastic. Jessica G was our server. She was very pleasant and made us laugh. Corked’s ambiance, food and bar service is great but Jessica G’s service the other night took it over the top. Would give more than 5 stars for her if I could. Go to Corked, ask for Jessica G’s section and enjoy.
The wife and I went out for our anniversary and decided to go there. I called prior to make a reservation with no problems spoke to Nicole and informed her it was our anniversary and I wanted to do something special while being there. She told me absolutely no problem and went above and beyond to make sure she had the best time there. Between Nicole and our server they did an incredible job and I am more then happy with the service we received. We will definitely be returning there again. Besides the service the food was absolutely delicious and perfectly prepared and the drinks were exceptionally delicious. Thank you for creating another memory that we wont forget. We definitely recommend this place to anyone else. Thank you ben and trisha
I have been here when it was Corked and enjoyed the food and atmosphere. I just met with the new owners who took over in March. They have some amazing ideas and a really good guys. Really excited to see what the new opening and 2.0 will look like!
First the drinks were ok to awful, we did research and called before coming about music and some dancing. What we werent told was the only way to dance on the dance floor on a Saturday night was to buy bottle service. We spent almost $200 including a cover charge and were told to dance in our booth we were sat in. Total scam. Food was room temperature and made in bulk off a 6 item menu therefore not fresh or even close to worth the prices. Definitely cannot recommend this place
First time at Corked. Enjoyed our food. Service was good. Wait staff friendly. Definitely will come back with friends.
The service was great. Food was incredible. I cant wait to go back.
We TRIED to dine at Corked Saturday August 29, 2020 for a special evening. We made reservations days in advance for table 13 and the gentleman taking the reservation assured us that would be our table. We checked in with the hostess, she confirmed our reservation then disappeared for several minutes. Someone else asked if we were taken care of, we affirmed we were. The hostess returned, then took us to a DIRTY half booth, not table 13 like we reserved! She became rude when we objected, then raising her voice told us because of the rain, we had to seat the walk-ins as a priority. Seriously, this is how you want customers who take the time to research a restaurant and reserve a table to be treated?? We left and will NOT return. Management needs to better train staff because the hostess proved she had zero customer service skills when she took us to the dirty half booth directly in front of the table we reserved! Reservations dont count here!
I used to frequent Corked often for meals and was initially excited to see them reopen. .. until I went there.I’m usually not one to complain especially during these times but Corked has really disappointed from what they once were.Firstly, they do not have any alcohol. Their website does not mention this, it actually lists various packages including liquor. The hours on are rather limited in comparison to other Main St dining options and we were rushed to order when we arrived. Although their website says they close at 10, they actually close much earlier.Their website lists a full menu, upon arriving they actually have a very limited selection of which they were out of many dishes and sides.I opted to go for the steak as they were out of the short ribs I wanted, definitely not the same quality as before. The steak was OK at best. It lacked flavor and was rather fatty, my mashed potatoes were also cold when they came out. Green beans were ok.On a positive note:The macaroni and cheese was quite tasty. Our waitress was very friendly and helpful. For the price and experience I would have been much better off elsewhere. Corked definitely needs to update their website or more patrons like myself will be disappointed.
Roasted boneless short rib entree was delicious. Thank you.
Food was ok. Service was decent. Prices exceed the quality of the food. Not the same.
When I found out that Corked Wine Bar was bought by local business men, I made it a point to meet and greet them. The assured me that they wanted to bring the original luster that corked once was.I was excited to give them another shot. They even have me a quick tour so I could get a glimpse of what they had planned. What I saw was exactly what they promised. It was also nice to see that they changed the name to something similar but yet different to keep the familiar downtown Bethlehem Restaurant alive in a good way. The food was Tasty, flavorful and most of all...FRESH!!! Definitely worth the money. I cant wait till they can fully open so I can see their vision come alive and enjoy my experience.
Though the menu was not large it was satisfying anyway the Mac and cheese was good
Had curbside take out. Chicken parm and short ribs were very good! Had enough food for 2 more meals. Definitely recommend giving them a try. Look forward to the day we can go inside for a meal. Until then, will order take out again
The service was great and the server was also great the problem was the food. The rib eye in particular. It was undercooked. I asked for medium well it came out medium rare and once it was redone it literally had no flavor. Had to put some salt for flavor. But to thier credit the short ribs were banging
It was good food and apps was good music on point didnt give a 5 cause steak was undercooked but overall good
Great wait staff and service! The food was good, not great, but definitely good.
Best food in the valley....the burger was amazing...the salmon was cooked to perfection and so good.. me and my entire family will be returning again. Can’t wait till everything open so we can try their full menu....
During these Quarantined times. I was glad to order from this Local Establishment. Curb side pick up and was very happy with the Quality and Quantity of Food. I will be a frequent customer here once we all get back to normal. Thank you
Excellent food, great service, the new owner kept the executive chef Allan D.who has been the chef for many years at Corked. Great value for the money, I look forward to going back.
Loving the new management of this place!! Food is excellent and the curbside service is quick!!! Ive had a few take out orders since they opened for takeout and its been consistent every time!!!
It’s a great place to hang out have a drink with friends and family. Service is great, food is really good it’s an unforgettable meal great spices and seasoning most important well cooked Definitely worth the price
We are not locals, but are foodies from our area. The atmosphere is great, but had to dine in the bar due to not having a reservation. There were an awful lot of empty tables for needing a reservation. We are at the bar and service was terrible. Ordered Salmon and Broiled Seafood. Both were average and served with two starches when they were supposed to come with steamed vegetables. Mac and Cheese Appetizer was the best item on the menu, but came after our meal was finished and salads were never delivered. The bars selection of higher end bourbons, scotches, rums and drinks is very poor and should definitely upgrade their wine list. This was not what we expected from walking in and were very disappointed. All of the disappointments could be fixed with better service, a few tweaks to the bar and the chef knowing not to serve two starches on the same dinner plate. Major fumble there.I wouldnt recommend this for dinner until they can deliver on Service and average dinner preparation.
New management, awesome head chef. We have had several curbside pickup meals due to covid19 and we have not been disappointed! Delicious short ribs, really decadent smoked Gouda Mac, tasty hot wings and loaded fries, and the vodka penne was sublime. Definitely on our short list of go to restaurants awesome makeover!!!
So while in town after the holidays our friends suggested Corked. When we Googled Corked we were a bit surprised of the reviews but our friends told us it was good. Well, as good as our friends suggestions were of other local places, they were wrong about Corked. Our server tried but was overworked with tables all over the place, she couldn’t even try to keep up. And it wasn’t her fault. This place is mismanaged, period and it leaves customers caught in the middle between unhappy and overworked staff and the owner and/or management. We were also abruptly hurried as when it gets later in the night they transform into a night club with a DJ. They also expect a cover regardless if you overpaid for their average food, expensive drinks and inadequate service. This place is a mess, something out of a television restaurant show that a famous chef would come in and try to save. Don’t believe me? Experience it for yourself.
Corked is a frequent spot for us, whether for dinner, drinks, or watching Penn State football. Great place for lunch, dinner, or night life, for family dinner or couples night out. Cozy and open indoor seating plus lovely outdoor as well.Wide variety of yummy food options, from traditional Italian to creative foodie. The bruschetta is to die for. The cannoli are made to order. Great drinks, too. The service is always first rate. Reasonably priced. Convenient parking.
Great food, awesome staff, will definitely come again !
Great (amazing) food, great atmosphere, loved the drink selections and all the TVs playing sports ... We are from out of town visiting family and we would come here again. Right in the middle of a beautiful college town area (Moravian)...
Google reviews are much more accurate than open table. I should have checked google first. The outside was inviting and while at our hotel checked open table, they had plenty of times open which should have been a warning. Not sure how this place operates but it was bizarre and we just couldn’t wait to pay and leave but even that took forever. We added 1 star for the waitress who busted her hump to try and keep up with everything. They seemed short staffed. Left hungry and frustrated.
Since new owners took over food is on point I would definitely recommend this place and really cant wait until it opens for the rest of it!!
Heard there was new owners and the old chef was back and it lived up to its name food was excellent
My wife and I checked out this place with our dog Snoopy. This area has a few places with patio dining that are dog friendly. This is one. Its next to a Thai food place that we arranged with a manager to sit in Corks seating but was served Thai food from the Thai Thai II restaurant next door. We were very happy Cork’s could arrange this because it gave us a chance to try out both places. The Thai place does not serve liquor but Cork’s does and we had our share of Old Fashions. The drinks were great and service was excellent. Snoopy had the chicken breast which we tasted and I don’t blame him for asking for seconds.
Excellent food and customer service. Owner and employees are the best
Food was good but like others, we had to wait and the service we received wasnt acceptable for the amount we paid for dinner. Although it was during the holiday, they were not overly busy. It wasnt terrible, but we expected more.
I dont typically leave negative reviews, but I have reached out to the restaurant management multiple times and have not received a response.I was in town with a friend for the weekend and we decided to go to Corked for dinner. We made a reservation but the hostess accidentally gave our table to another party, so we were told to wait 10 minutes. We were seated and waited 15 minutes for a server to bring us waters and menus and take our drink orders. We waited another 15 minutes for our drinks to come and for our food orders to be taken (mixed drinks were very weak and watered down.) We could see other guests also waiting as long for their food and getting irritated. After waiting much longer for our food to arrive, we were now late for a concert and asked for our food to go. We waited another 15 minutes for the food to arrive in its to go bags, and even longer for the check. Eventually, when we ate our salads later, it was incredibly subpar - we also ordered fries and were charged for them but never received them. This place seemed very mismanaged and the entire wait staff seemed uncoordinated. This was a terrible dining experience.
We had reservations for Thanksgiving at Corked, not knowing the recent reviews. We had eaten here a few time over the past few years but not recently. I am not sure if there are new owners or a big shift in management but service and quality have both significantly dropped. Food was bland, dry and over cooked. Quality of the food just isnt there. Worst of all, service is poor, slow and not what we were used to at Corked. Keep in mind, they charge a premium. We were looking forward to a nice day with great food and a memorable time. We left disappointed and with empty pockets.
GREAT place, even better food. The Gouda mac and cheese is to die for.
Always a good cocktail. But I cant seem but feel this place struggles between being a legit steakhouse and a bar/night club scene. I totally get they do what they have to do to make it. Have to say, the food did not disappoint. Bartenders are always friendly.
Food was good but our server forgot our appetizer order. We had to ask for water refills a lot and when we were asked our bar drinks took forever. Our server was good but overworked. She had tables all over the place so I think some of the reviews about the staff is due to the fact they dont have enough people. I can see why the negative reviews are what they are and most of all its because it is expensive for what you get. Id be fine with good or OK food if the service was better. The decor is awesome, and I enjoyed sitting there but I just wish it was better. I will give it another chance at some point.
Their food is just amazing. Very well cooked!
Originally I gave a two star review. However I tried to reach out to the Management of Corked twice regarding my concerns. I did not get a call back either time, so my review will now be a 1 star review. Feel free to email me since you do not return phone calls or emails. - Faith
Classy and inviting in a artsy part of Bethlehem. Spirit selection leaves a little to be desired, as others suggested the bar itself is looking a little tired. While we liked the concept, the bar area was incompetent, messy and at times disinterested in helping customers. The bartender checked her cell phone more than he checked on us. Food (appetizers) were thrown together and boring.
Oh Corked!? What happened? This place was our go to, we move away and come back and we left so upset. We had the best food here just last year! New owners? New Manager? Please, we loved Corked!
Rude staff when I questioned why if I dropped $200 on dinner and drinks for my wife and I why wed be asked to pay for a cover? Dinner for what we paid was OK, drinks were good but the 1 star is because I simply had a question about the cover and it was like we were being cheap? It was a question and they almost called the bouncer over to me. We left on our own and will NEVER return. I was just confused because its a restaurant .... I didnt know it doubles as a night club later at night.
Zero stars - Terrible Service! The Hostess is clueless! Had reservations and still had to wait over 20 minutes and there were several empty tables. Got drink order wrong. When we were ready to leave, we asked for food to be boxed and the waitress threw the food away. Never again!!By the way, this is not from a disgruntled ex-employee. This is a legit review. Management - you need to fire your hostess!! Your servers will confirm - she is clueless!! Based on Managements responses, apparently you are clueless too. We will definitely not be back again.
Met family at Corked after a night in Bethlehem, PA for the Christmas holiday. Beautiful city but sadly our visit to Corked left a lot to be desired. Our seafood was not edible, sent it back and ordered another item. Long story short it was 2 hours of our life we cannot get back and one of the worst meals weve ever eaten.
Very good food.
The place to be when visiting Bethlehem!! Great food, Great atmosphere and a fantastic staff!! Friday and Saturday evenings the dining room os converted into a night club so if this is not for you I suggest an earlier visit or reservation!!
I found this place to be dirty. My chair was ripped and the table smelled like they used dirty water. That was my first impression. We waited over 15 minutes when we had reservations and the place was not even busy to have that problem. The server was nice but forgetful and our meal came out incorrect. The wrong sides, cooked incorrectly, etc. We left very frustrated.
This is not a wine bar. I have never left a negative review or any review for that matter. While in the car with friends, I was so angry with our service that this is my first review. Wine selection is poor and this is supposed to be a wine bar. Food was downright dull. Service horrible. This place ended a nice day spent in Bethlehem on a poor note. Dont waste your time here.
Wow this was a very bad and unpleasant experience. The place is tired and dirty, bathrooms especially. Service was slooooow and took forever! Once the food came, it was just bad. No other word for it. We were expecting more because the building outside is nice and beautiful but thats about where anything good ended (at the door). We went to another bar afterwards and were told by people there Corked is up for sale and supposedly they opened a pizza shop to concentrate on, that seems more fitting.
Best chicken parm in town! Can’t wait to try the ribs!
What a dreadful restaurant. We didn’t even eat here as the service from the hostess was so bad. We arrived 15 mins early and waited for 4 minutes before the hostess even came over and spoke to us. We were told to wait as the table wasn’t ready. She went off and chatted to a server with her hands in her pockets! While we could see several tables that were empty and already laid. And the other half of the restaurant the tables were also ready. She was totally unprofessional not offering drinks or even the menu to look over. Her attire and attitude were both sloppy. After waiting for at least 15 mins we had had enough and left.
Most reviews on here are accurate. Please be warned they do not care about Veterans, offer no discounts and even if they did that the food and service here would still not be worth it. The staff is downright rude and uncaring. The decor tired, worn and dated. Everything so bad that I would never return to spend even one dollar here.
Food here is amazing. Definitely one of the best steaks i have in the Lehigh Valley. There plenty of food options. Drinks are made pretty good. A bit pricey but worth it. Didnt get a five star due to its waitress service. In this day the waitress didnt really check up on my table and didnt seem as friendly as she could have been. But overall a good place to dine inn.
Corked is for sale????? Now I see why.... you can always tell when a restaurant is about to close. Quality drops, crowds thin and they cant keep employees. Its a shame b/c Corked was always a decent place years ago.
Corked used to be at the top of my list. The last few times our visits have been very dismal. Employee morale seems low, food is OK but its just not the same.
This place is a rip off. Like my brother stated, bartenders act like you dont exist and would rather look at their iphones. Service was bad, drinks had too much ice and were made wrong. We didnt even hang out and wait for the food but this place is a nightmare. Literally.
Horrible. The bathroom was atrocious. The mens bathroom to be exact was so bad that it was flooded w water all over the floor, the toilets didnt even flush and the urinals were filled with urine. The spinach and artichoke nachos was basically some type of cream sauce dumped onto of chips and sprinkles with whole pieces of spinach and artichoke hearts. It doesnt even deserve 1 star
Used to frequent this establishment, but haven’t gone for a year. So my wife and I decided to have dinner at corked. It was last Thursday we went and it was quite a disappointment. The food was terrible, seems like it was being reheated from the previous day. The only thing good was the French fries. Everything fancy was not cooked fresh, it was stale my wife got upset. I got upset because I know my wife likes this place since she started coming. Got the bill paid and left a nice tip anyway. But it’s not somewhere I would recommend to anyone, the atmosphere is nice but food is low quality. Ocean is way better
Was this the DJs first gig? We ate dinner which was decent but extremely slow service. We stayed to have a few drinks and see what the place was about and the DJ had no experience and was dreadful. Our overall rating for this place reflects the bar and “night club”. Whatever this place is trying to pull off isn’t working.
I asked for my steak medium. First it came out raw and then they decided to be smart and bring it back out like a hockey puck. Terrible food and terrible people.
I never left a bad review before but this place def deserves it. Unreal how bad anyplace can be, especially in this historic part of Bethlehem. Shops along this street are high end and this place was a huge let down.
We used to love Corked. We wanted a do over last week when we came to eat. Our reservations we not honored, we waited so we went to the bar to kill time which was fine but the order took forever and my drink was made wrong. The bartender challenged whether I was right or not. Its my favorite drink and I was challenged and laughed at? OK on to dinner, dinner and the service was extremely slow and the food was expensive and not the quality I remember. Im not sure whats going on here but Corked was always 4.5+ stars and the drop in reviews clearly mark a problem. Im not sure what to say but they lost a customer last week.
Im a big fan of Vivo Italian which is in the same family, however Corked does not compare. Vivo has high quality food, great service and happy atmosphere, all things Corked is missing. Same family, two different experiences.
I have only walked out of a restaurant 2-3 times in my life before this, but the blasting music at 4:30 was too much. I get that they are going for a restaurant/club thing but 4:30 was way too early for this. We never even made it to ordering our drinks.
Absolutely love this place. Great food and atmosphere for dinner or lunch on weekends also great nightlife on Friday and Saturday nights. Only place I frequent in the Valley for night life. Definitely reccomend
Waited to be seated, waited for water and waited forever for our food. When I asked for the check that too took over 10 minutes. Just an FYI I left my credit card number on my receipt because nobody came back to take payment!!! Guess what they never charged me!! I left my business card too. No one called me. A $200 bill before tip and they’re so disorganized no one charged me.
This place SHOULD be called Unicorn Bar & Grill, why? Because I cant believe it actually exists! What I mean by that is, it shouldnt even be in business. Im not sure what is older, the worn out table cloths and ripped seating areas or the expired tasting, bland food. The service was so bizarre that I thought I was on the set of a prank show. As bad as my first date was with a girl my friend set me up with, our dinner at Unicorn was even worse and Im not sure which I hated more, my date or this restaurant!
Service has gone downhill over time. Corked was awesome. Lately not. I do have one question. Why when you google Corked it also auto fills Corked Bethlehem For Sale? If it’s for sale no wonder service is so poor. Just sayin.
Bad experience here last night. Arrogant staff and miserable people. I never waited so long when we had reservations and once we were seated it was slow and server was forgetful. We had to ask for things multiple times.
This could be a great night out. Unfortunately the bartenders are awful. When asked what I’d like to drink I paused for a second and she walked away. Extremely rude. These employees need to learn some service skills and basic politeness.
Food was Amazing...Service was Fabulous and Entertainment to end the night was just right....Dance the night away
Rude service and a long wait. Not enough help and the food wasnt worth the price paid. We even had reservations, they didnt seem to matter.
My new place to go very generous staff and after 11pm turns in to a night club one of my favorit places to go and bartender jimmy was amazing one of the best you can have working at a bar
Fancy vibrant interior but the food drinks and service were nothing special. For a special night go somewhere else.
Another fail. Joey G’s is one of their other locations that recently closed. Grazi closed too. Matter of time until Corked is sealed by the same fate. Poor service, high prices and as others said... restaurant, bar and nightclub. Corked was once great because of great staff. But it’s a matter of time.
Very nice place in Bethlehem PA! Went to Christkindlmartk and then to main Street for dinner. Great food
Very poor service. Needed more water. Wanted more wine. No server around. Noise level beyond tolerable.
I have never left a review in my life, let alone a negative one. My experience at Corked on 2/9/2020 was simply unbelievable. Slow service with the worst attitude ever. I really thought we were on a prank television show or on what would you do. Food, when i finally came was cold, bland and thrown together. This was bizarre.
Walked in and after waiting 10 minutes for a drink we left. We went down the street and had better service any way.
Constant bad service, overpriced and water downed drinks and average (at best), ill prepared food. save your time and $ dont come to corked
Servers dont know their wine and their selection leaves a lot to be desired. Food was not prepared correctly at all. Nobody knows what theyre doing and this is the worst run place ever.
I felt bad my kids brought me to Corked Wine Bar for a special dinner and it didn’t go well. Everyone was disappointed, frustrated and angry. Service was poor and food wasn’t good.
We met friends here and ate prior to meeting them. They had a hard time getting in and wanted a high cover to be paid for a DJ? We ate as tables were moved around us, like we were an inconvenience. Our food was OK, not great and we were rushed to eat so they could move us out and transform the restaurant into a night club. At this point, they wanted us to pay a cover too! We paid a lot of money for so-so service and food. No wonder the reviews are what they are. Truth to them so be advised!
Best food and night life around. We go every every other week atleast! Attentive bartenders, authentic Italian food, and always an amazing time!
Poor service. Took nearly an hour to get dinner. Never got our salads that were supposed to come with dinner and did not get out side until after dinner. Very disappointed.
In the middle of artsy-craftsy part of Bethlehem is this spot. More a club than a restaurant. Friendly staff but heavily overworked during happy hour. Menu is nothing to write home about but when food finally arrives, quite good.
Went out on Saturday night and had fun. The ladies we dealt with are super friendly.
This place is trash. you get better service at a Burger King or McDonalds.
We spent some time here last weekend but not long. The reviews were mixed, but we thought we’d try it any way. The food was okay, service was too. Drinks were rather expensive however and we also were rushed to move as they transformed into a lounge. The whole set up was bizarre to me.
Drinks were good but filled with too much ice. Hostess was ill prepared and don’t go too late because you’ll be rushed to get up from your table as they convert to and get this ......a night club. Imagine sitting there eating and it changes into a night club. We left scratching our head and confused and we refused to pay a cover in a place we just dropped a few hundred dollars.
Looks pretty but thats where it ends. Service is average at best and food is average at best. Not worth the money. Decor is wonderful, whomever they paid did a good job, its just disappointing there isnt more after that. Maybe we set our expectations too high.
Great food and the waitress was wonderful
Not impressed. Service during MusikFest was better at other elsewhere.Ratings on other sites YELP 3, OPEN TABLE 4.1, TRIP ADVISOR 4 and google 3.8. They say their reviews were lowered on Google because of an employee but ratings all over are somewhat similar. Corked is hit or miss but review responses are terrible. Focus on fixing what is broke!
