We loved this spot so much! Our one night stay ended up turning into four because of car troubles and and the staff was nothing short of amazing. Megan and Greg helped us out with everything we needed and were so kind. This place was cozy, clean, and in a great location!

Staff was very accommodating our late night check in, rooms were thoroughly clean, loved how knowledgeable they were on Vermont travel restrictions and the contact less check in. Quiet & private with a cute retro cottage style. Pet friendly was a huge plus. Only downside was the mattress, Ive never slept on a mattress that firm before and I woke up very sore.

I just want to say : Thank you so very much !...I was staying there a week ago with a friend and we had such a lovely time!...Such a wonderful, relaxing location, felt right at home, couldnt be better! Also I want to say, Thank you to Pamela for rescuing my husband, he is hiking the Appalachian Trail and we could not locate a taxi that would take him to the motel. Pamela was so kind and pick him up personally on a rainy evening just by navigating on the phone app. Thank you for your kindness!!!

I simply loved this place. Looks like a typical cheapie motel from the outside but don’t be fooled! The rooms are wonderfully updated with the most comfy beds, unique artwork and a super cool bathroom sink. Nice little touches everywhere. Complimentary water was a nice surprise. Oh and the free breakfast was amazing. Fresh fruit, yummy bagels and much more beautifully laid out. I will definitely stay here again. And the service was top notch!

Cutr little more on a hill north of the center of town, with nicely appointed rooms and thoughtful little touches gets and there. I was there during a snowstorm so hunkered down overnight. They accept dogs which was part of what drew me here for a short/one night stay. The motel itself is likely older and harkens back to a past era, but has been updated and given fun updates that makes it seem both retro and modern. Lovely breakfast is offered. My only wish list items would be a slightly more comfy mattress (it was a bit firm for me, as were the pillows) and as slightly larger tv screen for my account eyes to more easily see.I would like to stay here again, if Im back in the area in warm weather.

This is a perfect covid-safe stay. The room was extremely clean when we arrived, and they have a very thoughtful and contact-free process for check-in and check-out. Aside from feeling extremely safe, the outdoor space directly outside our room was incredible, with picnic tables, hammocks, and an amazing view of the Bennington Monument and Mt Anthony. Overall it was a super high-value stay and my girlfriend and I are already looking forward to our next visit.

Upon arrival, we loved our clean, spacious room so much, we asked if there was vacancy for another night! I had done a search online for a dog friendly hotel and this place came up. I’m glad it did! Just a $10 extra charge per night for the dog and must be crated if you leave in the room and the dog is over 40 lbs. Front desk service was friendly and accommodating. The grounds boast a collection of art sculptures, hammock chairs/hammock, screened in gazebo, picnic tables, bench swing. Quiet at night. I know we had neighbors, but there wasn’t a peep. Nothing compared to the thin walls of most places. I will say there is no pool, which my kids love to have(I don’t really care:)) Prices are reasonable. Room has microwave and fridge. My husband said we won’t be staying at any other places in Bennington when we come to visit my parents. We’ve had much less stellar experiences at the local motels/hotels in the area.

Quant motel situated just off the highway. Friendly attentive staff, and vast grounds to enjoy the wildlife. Property has fire pit, hammock, swings, yard games, and many unique art exibits. All artwork is for sale both inside the rooms and outside on the well manicured lawn. Amenities include fridge, microwave, tv, wifi, coffee pot, and air conditioning. Pet friendly with reasonable $10 per day pet fee. Apple orchards across the highway. I would definitely recomend staying here, if youre looking for a more homely (comfortable) type of lodging.

The location of the motel was convenient. It was quiet, and very clean. We found our unit to be quite cozy and tight for the two of us. I also would have really appreciated a desk or table where I could sit and put on my make up or write. The lighting was difficult for that, also.

Pretty decent roadside motel compared to most. I stayed in one of the economy rooms and was quite satisfied. The room was clean and well maintained and the mattress was super comfy. Slept like a baby.Outside in the grassy yard were three hammocks, a badminton net with all the stuff needed to play a game or two with family and friends and some yard game Ive never heard of. And plenty of space to run around.Next to this place was a fine restaurant with great food.Definitely a home run.

Fantastic motel! If you are looking for a “modern hotel” its not..... much better! Farmhouse Suite is the upstairs of an old farmhouse. You get a full kitchen and bath with whirlpool tub/shower, two bedrooms and living room. Being upstairs you get a great view of the area! Martha couldn’t have been better as hostess, even coming up to room to fix TV remote later in evening. She also gave good recommendations for local restaurants. If you’re looking for a quiet getaway check them out! Great pricing too! Just note : If you have problems with stairs the Farmhouse Suite is up some very steep stairs! (But that adds to the charm of it!)

Really enjoyed our stay here. Was clean and inviting. The bathroom had just been remodeled and was as cute as can be. Nice details in the whole room. Had 2 double beds with plenty of room and had two nice chairs to relax in. I hate having a room with only an uncomfortable office chair to sit in. Had 2 chairs out on the porch but it was raining and cold or I would have been out enjoying it. They had cute lawn sculptures all around the grounds and it was very country. Checking in was fast and friendly. The person was very nice and asked if there was anything else we needed. Couldnt do enough for us. Really enjoyed our stay.

Really nice staff, rooms, and continental breakfast with a lot of charm. My suggestion is that the owners install blinds in the front windows behind the rather thin curtains - there was no keeping daylight out in the morning, and at night I was a bit self conscious getting ready for bed with lights on in the room. But overall, great!

My wife and I came upon this place while she was 9 months pregnant and a few days overdue. We were just looking for a quiet place with a very comfortable bed while we waited for her labor to begin, and we were blessed to come upon the Harwood Hill and its wonderful, friendly staff. The host, Martha was so caring to my wife and I and made sure she was as comfortable as possible. The rooms are high quality, very clean, well maintained, unique, beautiful with premier art decorations, and quiet. The in-room coffee maker, refrigerator, and microwave met all of our basic needs and anything else that came up that we needed the staff was able to happily provide upon request! The grounds are also beautiful, we sat on the yard swings, hammock, and screened-in gazebo, during the cool evenings. Also we were there on July 4th, and we were pleasantly surprised to see we had a beautiful view of the fireworks display from Willow Park right there from the property! Thank you Martha and staff for your kindness and care towards my wife and I during our stay!!
