Bend has such beautiful parks and trails and Riley Ranch Nature Reserve is one of them. It sits off of O.B. Riley Road and is well marked with a sign. After you drive down Glen Vista Road a little ways the main entrance is on the left. And once you enter the reserve you certainly feel like you’ve just stepped away from all of the hustle bustle and busyness of life. There is ample parking, restrooms, and chances to see deer and bird watch. There are numerous trails that are great to walk, jog, or run. Some even lead down to the sound of the calming Deschutes River as it rushes by.Dogs are not allowed since it is a reserve. But the tranquility and beauty that it offers should not be missed!
Beautiful place to walk with nice views. Path is not paved, but you can still push a stroller on it easily!
Very nice reserve with plenty of trails to go exploring. Plus many spots to jump into the river to cool off.
Beautiful, well maintained trails leading to a beautiful river.
Great walk. Not too crowded
Great place for a walk. Mostly flat and very well maintained overall (bathroom, trails, etc.). No bikes and no dogs. Kind of a bummer, but does make the place very peaceful.
Beautiful.I have young children, we received some stink eye from other patrons of the park. My bad for bringing my kids.
I was not sure whether or not this would be a good place to take small kids and strollers. However, we decided to go test it out anyways. As long as you stay on the main. Loop it is a great place to bring a wagon or stroller with little one. There was one part crayon rim trail (or something like that) that was not really practical to take our strollers down. As you can see from my pictures. So we turned around and stuck to the primary loop.Overall it was a great little walk, and we will probably go back.
Weve hiked here several times. The top loop is wide and flat. If you have more time, hike down into the canyon and along the river. With our kids we can spend a couple hours here, but if you keep moving you can do a loop in 20 to 30 minutes.
Best easy urban walk location in Bend. Great for kids.
Great place to take family, doesnt take much time out of your day, and you get to be in nature, as well as explore how Bend was geologically formed.
Great place.. glad they dont allow dogs or bikes. Beautiful not far away from town. Signage is great and most the trails are easy to walk/navigate.. please dont change it.
Awesome park with beautiful views, gravel trails. The NE corner connects to Tumalo Park, which is gorgeous run!
Nice basic graveled walking area. Nice, no dogs or bikes to deal with. One of Bends newest parks. Not too exciting but good exercise & fresh air.
Nice walk for kids but honestly didn’t see much. Not worth the time
A great place to enjoy our beautiful surroundings. Nice trails, easy walking. No bikes or dogs permitted make it beneficial for people pushing strollers and disabilities. Its a favorite for me!
Fun and beautiful hike
Beautiful ️ trail! Easy and very relaxing. A nice loop....
A new park close IN Bend. Gorgeous views, the trail to the riverMakes you think that you are in the wilderness and in Bend. Trail goes for miles to Tumalo State park, have not done that, yet.
I looked up info before I went to this new park on the Bend Parks and Rec website. I didnt see anywhere on their site that they dont allow dogs so I was really disappointed to see the two big signs at the parking lot that explained why they dont. I get it since it is a nature reserve but just wish they could have given this information on the website so people wont be surprised when they get there like I was.
Nice new large nature reserve in Bend. Great to have a park that doesnt allow dogs; will definitely come back to run the trails here.
