Beautiful and scenic.. Nice boat launch. Great for family fun. Swim. Float. Paddle board or kayak around the lake. It offers multiple spots to stop and enjoy the scenic mountains all around.

Cool little spot right near the lake. Outdoor seating was all they had available at the time (COVID). I went for the blackened chicken wrap thinking it would not be that much food, but I was wrong. The wrap is a good size and comes with fries.I was very surprised at how good the wrap was (I kind of have low expectations for that dish overall).The RPM is also a delicious IPA they offer. Cop one of those too.

This is a fantastic lake resort located in the Deschutes National Forest. They have cabins, a marina, restaurant and bar for guests to enjoy the lake to its fullest! Very popular place for everyone in the family! The resort is a must-see wonderment of Central Oregon! Friendly owners and staff make this place a sweet gem. ENJOY!

I dont know where to start. The owners of Elk Lake resort first off are awesome! They are completely hands on when it comes to making your experience amazing! As a local business owner in Bend I cant tell you how refreshing it is to see people who care about other peoples needs the way they do! Come on out to Elk Lake whether its winter, summer, or in between you wont regret it!P..S the food is awesome too!

Always a great pit stop on the annual roadie!!! Someday Ill prepare for a stay and time on the water, until that day Ill continue to enjoy the scenery and a beverage!!!

Crowded but fun swimming ( brisk! ) andKayak and paddleboard friendly but watch for winds which make it a breeze going out and a herculean effort to get back to shore. HOT so bring water and sunscreen. Kids loved it. For our second day we went to otherside of lake but the wind seemed more severe ( made it easy to keep close to shore) but it also made it cold and uncomfortable to be wet. Lots of irritating people in this area ( obnoxious and drunk highschoolers ) that ruined the feel. Whereas the resort side had tons of mostly well behaved kids and teens.Really fun and beautiful place to spend the day. Highest recommendation.

Elk lake Resort is a great place for a wedding. I attended a wedding there and it was an amazingly beautiful venue. The catering was on point, nicely presented and tasty. The resort staff were very friendly and hospitable. I highly recommend this spot for a summer wedding.

They go above and beyond to help out hikers. Excellent customer service.

Closing down a event like a wedding at 8:00 is pretty pathetic. What kind of venue shuts down at 8? Sorry but as a Oregon DJ myself, I would never recommend this place to any if my clients. They would ruin a bride and grooms whole day. Never coming back.

Great little old school lodge type restaurant stop when out on the snowmobile. Great food! Friendly service. Hear its really cool on and around the lake in summertime camping etc.

Beautiful place but gave it 4 stars because the beach isnt sandy.

Its pretty packed but once you get out on the lake it is easy to feel like you have the place all to yourself. And the checkerspot butterflies are out in droves right now!

Beautiful setting! Love coming to this resort for lunch on the patio. Tasty Reuben and beer bratwurst with a local dark beer. Anthony is a great server. Very positive and enthusiastic, too!

We rented kayaks and ate at the cafe. Very friendly and helpful folks. Beautiful location. The cafe really has a great selection for a remote location. Definitely worth the trip!

Elk Lake is the best place I’ve ever worked. Pat and Wendy are the most generous employers I’ve ever worked for. They care about all their employees and treat everyone equal. They work really hard right beside us all. I’m so thankful for the opportunities they have given me. I will come back year after year to work at Elk Lake Resort!

OUR NEW FAVORITE !!!Although Ive been going to Bend for a while now, were new to the Cascade Lakes area. Finding the Elk Lake Resort was like finding yet another gem among a gorgeous landscape. The Cascade Lakes area is full of adventure and fun things to do. You definitely need to make Elk Lake one of your stops.The resort itself was nice to visit, great people working there and an inviting atmosphere to hang out in.

We stayed this past weekend For my sons wedding. We had a 3 bedroom cabin beautiful design. It had a few little quirks but they were easy to work around. It is a Beautiful resort nestled in the cascade lakes area. The Wedding venue is quite romantic and quaint. Staff for the most part waspkeasabt, friendly and accommodating. We were a large group of about 80 staying at the Resort and another 30 coming in day of event.

The lake is amazing, good service and fair pricing.

Great stop on an awesome winter day. Great breakfast, super friendly people.

Great staff, great experience. Stayed here for a Bend lacrosse tournament instead of in town. Totally worth the extra drive. The lake is easily accessible, great for paddle boarding, kayaking, swimming. Didnt get a chance to fish, but one of the resident staff said Sept was great for shoreline fishing. Cabin had all we needed. Just brought food. In the four days we were there, they had a movie in a large tent and a live band. Amazing place for family or friend reunion in the larger cabins. Will definitely return.

We stayed at the Elk lake campground & came over to grab a shower. The shower facility was in bad shape. The girl at the front desk was awesome. The view is what kept us here for awhile without many others.

This used to be a secret lake that locals only visited but now its totally unlocked and its just as good only get there early for a lake spot..Great people and atmosphere

One of the best places to spend your time during the summer. The marina offers great deals on rentals, the cabins to rent are spacious and clean, and the lodge makes some amazing food and offers some great local beers on tap.

Always stop at the lodge for lunch on my annual guided snowmobile trips. The atmosphere is rustic kind of old ski lodge feel. The food is great and the staff is very friendly.

Walk to Lake accessible, restaurant near by, great food & atmosphere! Love the summer live music on Saturdays playing near the water! Nice to be able to rent boating equipments. Overall a great location for some fun & even get some relaxation!! :)

Cute cabins, it would be nice to have showers available for customers staying overnight. Restaurant had amazing food!

Our first time camping here. Upon arrival there was a guy under a canopy directing traffic. We had reservations so he told us to check in down at the office. There were a TON of people! There are NO signs indicating WHERE to check in. So I hiked back up to the entrance to ask where to go exactly. At check in the ladies were very nice and professional. I was disappointed that showers are $5! $20 a day for our family of 4 is a lot on top of the camping fee. There is only one place to get water in the campground so it meant hauling buckets back to the camp site daily, but bucket baths are free. The toilets are only outhouses but fairly clean. Overall it wasn’t terrible but not really worth the 4 hour drive for me.

Spent the day on one of the beach areas. Absolutely beautiful. The views are amazing, the water is perfect, and the atmosphere is very easy. It was a great day for our whole group including lots of small children.

Loved it. Close to Bend. Lots of water access. They have a fun restaurant and marina. Cant wait to return in the winter.

I went there with my family for a mini vacation. We didnt stay the night, we went there while on our snowmobiling adventure. The guide brought us there for lunch. It is so beautiful out there with the snow everywhere. The food and drinks were pretty good, too.

I stayed here for two nights in June. The summer is the best time, but theyre also open in the winter and you can snowmobile or cross-country ski in. The views are incredible! The cabin we rented was perfect; stocked kitchen, beds, bathroom, and most importantly a fire pit, picnic table, and adirondack chairs so you can be outside and enjoy the views. Bring your boat or rent from the resort to fully take advantage of the lake.

We love spending the day on one of the beaches near the restaurant/bar. Great floating docks and friendly people. Parking can get busy.

Rented a pontoon boat. It was amazing. The scenery cannot be beat. Only small complaint is that the swimmers and docks are in the same area, so it takes a long time to bring boats in.

Our favorite lake to go to. Always clean. Usually gets crowded on the weekends but definitely worth it if you can get there earlier and grab a spot.

If the sun would have made an appearance, this day would have been perfect. The staff of Elk Lake are delightful. The music and the food were top notch. Campfire and view of the lake....epic! Looking forward to my next visit!

Great local spot. Amazing food, a little on the expensive side

We stayed in a cabin for 5 nights and the shower drain was plugged at check in and the bathroom water pressure was almost non-existent but great water pressure in the kitchen. I reported the problems to the check in desk person and was told she would report it to maintenance. An hour later, I fixed the drain with a toilet plunger but no word regarding the water pressure. I reported the water pressure everyday for 4 days and received no response. I got to know the desk person and I believe she was doing her job. No one stopped by; no one called, nothing. I was later told the owner said this is an old place with weak water pressure. Understood but someone should have stopped by. Nothing is not good customer service.

I enjoyed snowshoeing and the mountain view! The one downside was a burst water pipe causing water at all of the cabins plus the lodge to temporarily go out.

We ate here after our morning kayak adventure. Both of us ordered the smoked chicken sandwich with bacon and pesto aioli. The food was amazing, the waitstaff were fun and attentive, and the prices were reasonable for being at a resort. I will definitely be back!

Since my daughter took me there 2 yrs ago, i have enjoyed the scenery, the staff, and good food. my go to is the bloodymarys. since then, besides spending time with my family, i go no where else but here. it was also my first time kayaking there too. when people ask for a great spot, i tell them about this place. great job guysy can count on seeing me every summer.

We had their buffet breakfast. Assuming it would be reasonably priced we decided to eat there since we were hungry and didnt know where else wed be able to grab a bite. They served eggs, sausage, French toast, pancakes and a very small plate of fruit. We ate a little of everything and when it was time to pay, we were told it was $14 per person. I tell you, it was not worth $14 per person. We felt ripped off.

Went to the restaurant for drinks. Beautiful outside setting over looking the lake. Typical lake resort setting with rentals, boat launch. Very crowded in the summer. Fun family resort

Elegant and expensive and worth it!

It was very nice and comfortable and my daughter and I had a good time there. I suggest getting there early and finding a nice spot by the water as it gets busy really fast.

The lodge was quaint and had a decent selection of beer and food. The elk chili was delicious and the views are amazing. They offer boat rentals and have port-a-potties and an indoor restroom for customers of the restaurant.

Where else can you enjoy the beauty of the cascades along with fabulous drinks and delish eats! Its amazing just to be able to relax and enjoy at Elk Lake. Great owners and super nice employees, plus they erected the cool tents to rent. Love it!!

Rustic lakeside property, very dark inside, but beautiful views from the deck. We had very fast service and the food is what youd expect.

Full disclosure, we stopped in here after hiking the South Sister and were delighted to see Boneyard Brewery had set up a bar by the lake. Perfect end of afternoon, gorgeous scenery, great beer and girls on paddleboards

Wonderful stop on the Cascade Lakes Highway or destination in itself. Good menu and beverage choices in a classic lodge atmosphere. Excellent photo op of Mt. Bachelor from extensive dock.

It was a lot nicer than Cultus lake, and the lodge was a lot more plentiful, the only downside was if you didnt have a cabin you had to use an outhouse but even that wasnt bad, overall a pleasant experience.

Caught off guard by this place. Though it would be below average but by where its at. Boy was I wrong. All 4 in our group had a great lunch. Some of the best wings Ive had anywhere. Smoked salmon salad was perfect. Great spicy bloody Marys too! Did not lodge here. Only ate lunch after kayaking at hosmer lake

It was nice they had a lake right there that you could swim in paddle board in and many other water actives.
