The Pavilion is a fun way to go have fun with family and friends. They have open skates throughout the day plus special ice times for figure skating and hockey. The staff is wonderful and very helpful.
Always fun to practice a skill while having fun with friends and family. One tip is to buy your own skates online or from a thrift store especially if you’re gonna go at least a few times per year to the rink. This cuts the cost down a lot. Also, the rink is always gonna be annoyingly packed on a weekend night during free skate, so just be prepared to be skating in circles with a million other people next to you In all seriousness, great for most ages and it’s great for making memories.
Its a nice rink. Has good open skate hours. The skate shop does a good job sharpening skates. It would be nice if they notified ya when they are done though. Would like to see more adult ice skating lessons and a better discount for bringing your own skates
Ice skating here is $12 for adults including skates. Warning: the skates are incredibly uncomfortable. Ice skating is $9 otherwise. Check the website for open skate times since they also have designated sports times. The rink is large and fun. Ample kids additive devices and two fire pits to warm up at. Awesome time!
Love the pavilion!!! Such a cool place! I go here for the open ice skating and i love it. Super friendly workers and environment. Best place to go ice skating for beginners that I have ever been to.
Very beautiful facility. Lots of activities like ice skating, hockey, curling, figure skating, and more during the summer take place here (the have a skatepark in the summer). They serve beer during hockey games and have fire pits to stay warm while watching the athletic skaters participate in their chosen skill. Can get a little loud at times but that’s just because everyone is having so much fun!
The Figure Skating club calledBend Ice” is unfriendly and not inclusive to its OWN MEMBERS. A sad thing to post about a “USFS” club and rink. I can not recommend this club to anyone. A great place for beginner ice skaters I had a great time. And the rink monitors are super nice 9/10
Unique experience for ice arena sports, quasi open arena, open to dust and wind, covered for rain and snow.
I am a hockey player. I dont play well, but I love the sport and the culture. It continues to upset me that Bend spent well over 10 million dollars on a facility that a: does not support year-round ice, b: has one sheet of ice, c: cultivated a scenario in which getting ice time is extremely difficult. In looking into the costs of a year-round ice facility, it seems that Bend couldve had the opportunity to provide its youth and tax-paying constituents year-round ice skating for much, much less (estimates for other facilities in the region range from 3 - 7 million). In exchange, we have a facility with a very neat statue out front, fire pits for the fans, an entryway that is difficult to navigate with a hockey gear bag, and limited parking. I shake my head when thinking what we could have had instead. Now, when I want to try to get open ice time, I have to be on my computer the minute a session is opened. Last week when trying to get into a pick-up game, I was four minutes late to register and found that I am 5th on the waitlist. Well done Bend. Youve taken your ice and turned it into an aesthetically pleasing place that is so overbooked that its nearly impossible for citizens to enjoy.
Great place for family fun. Prices are very reasonable!
What a nice resource for Bend. This is a very good facility. Plenty of space and the ice was good enough for the cheap skate session I attended. They had nice warming fires outside and good seating indoors. Skates were in good shape even though they werent as sharp as they could have been. Food was reasonable as was the skating at only $6 per person on Sundays. Bathrooms and common areas were immaculate. They also offer a very nice aray of programs for youth and adults. I highly recommend this place!
LOVE the Pavilion and its staff. Great place to skate and play ice hockey and roller!
Reasonable prices for ice skating and the staff are really knowledgeable and friendly. They have a concession stand and outside fire pits to warm up around. Although most people just leave their shoes under the benches, the do have quarter operated lockers. The pavilion only offers ice skating in the winter, in the summer they offer a mix of basketball courts, skateboard ramps, and other activities.
Great setup for river tubers though paying was a hassle and long line, just felt the prices were pretty high. We also didnt appreciate the staff basically begging for tips.
My tweens love to go skating here. Plenty of space to hang out and watch the skaters. Snack bar is reasonably priced.
So cool for my son to go buy him self
I LOVE SKATING! The rink manager and her employees do a great job keeping up this facility and providing excellent ice and many programs!
Excellent outdoor (with roof) ice rink. Nice fire pits and seating areas as well.
This place is pretty fricking awesome!! Best kids camp in the summer, ice skating in the winter, and we just hit up the ski swap for some awesome deals. Sweet!!
This place has great indoor ice skating during the winter and “The PAC” summer drop off care during the summer months is fantastic. My son had a wonderful summer here and they traveled all over Central Oregon hiking, swimming, floating the river, feeding alpacas, paddle-boarding and so much more.
Annual ski swap..love it
Friendly staff, a clean and organized building, and great ice! This is a good place to come skating.
I miss the old skating rink, this one has too hard of a floor, to quiet music and way too many rules
Good I like it.
Pretty crowded, but staff helpful and organized. Since the rink is outdoors it was great having heaters; the huge fireplaces were really neat!
More than could even be expected from such an establishment, sure to meet the needs of those who would regularly frequent this kind of hobby/recreation/sport/entertainment or exercise! The extent at which the Bend Parks & Recreation have gone to accommodate to those who are familiar with this field of recreation by far exceed any other such establishment Ive had the privilege to visit from here to Colorado that is!
My husband and I went on a date ice skating at the pavilion. It was so much fun! It was $24 for two people with skate rental. They played good music and we had a blast. We will be returning.
Super venue for large outdoor events.
Nice rink. Needs sun shade on the end of early games and a way to block some of the wind.
Awesome place for all ice related sports. It can get very busy in the evenings but the staff is still very helpful and friendly. The building and amenities are very nice, new, and clean.
Very nice arena, even though it is an outdoor rink, it is covered and has some side panels. The fire pit on the end are very cool, even when its snowing.
Excellent facility, lots of changing rooms, very clean. Price for free skate is reasonable and customer service is excellent. Only downside is their parking lot could be expanded--its always a struggle to find a space.
Free parking, $6 family time & very nice facility. Sell good n rest room in n out if building.
We love the pavilion. Got the kids hockey skate lessons. Made use of the ice time and great teachers. Kids are doing amazing. My kids, my wife, and myself think the skates are great.
Beautiful establishment!
Lots of opportunities to skate with friends & family. Rentals are reasonably priced!
Great place to go ice skating! Friendly staff, lots of on-site and outdoor seating plus a concessions area. Nice to have a rink right in town.
Had a wonderful time ice skating. The staff was friendly and answered all my questions. Have a great time.
Beautiful Pavilion, very well maintained and groomed rink, I just wish I would have brought my own skates. The rental skates here are the most uncomfortable things Ive ever worn. Made the experience painful. But do plan on coming again just with my own gear!
Great rink and nice clean facilities. Had a good time at kids hockey tournament.
Great rink and staff, but the ice already melted yesterday (11/4) and the scheduled program had to be cancelled (without any notice). Is anybody (BPRD folks) considering additional blinds/curtains to block the direct sun from the South and West? We had this issue last year. Direct sun isnt good for the ice, we all know it.........
Free to go in and just watch.
Great place for Ice Skating. Plenty of space & the outdoor/indoor aspect makes it enjoyable as well.
Great to go with family. Rates were good, ice was ok, the seating was good, the fire pits were nice, rentals were in good shape. Would go again
Its a GREAT place to go.
The ice skating rink here is amazing, even if you dont skate their are ping-pong and foosball tables. As well as concessions
Too busy, need to staff better for summer days
Whoa! Bring gloves
The skates hurt my feet terribly. I tried more than one pair. The only reason I went out on the ice with them on was so the kids could skate with one of us adults along. The second time around I fell, hit my head, and arm, ending up with a concussion and a bad sprain. I am a skier, and have ice skated at other rinks, but the skates are so horribly uncomfortable,I truly believe they led to my injuries.Nice rink. Bring your own skates. The nurse told me she had blisters from her time there. I wish I had seen others comments before going. I would have found something else to do.
Wow!! Place is brand new and very well maintained! Walk in and meet by happy helpful staff. Ill be frequently visiting!
Great place for The Skyliners Ski Swap. Thank you for letting us have it there.
Great place to ice skate.
Fun place for family skate. Parking could be better.
Hockey is great. Congratulations everyone on just GETTING OUT THERE!!!
Pretty good, almost always busy though
Like all Bend Parks and Rec facilities this rink is top notch.

Good family fun and reasonable prices.
