Beautiful hike. I dipped my feet in the lake at the top of the hike and it was wonderful; water was fairly warm and very relaxing. If you dont feel like going all the way to the lake, the lookout point halfway to the lake (1 mile from trailhead) is a wonderful stopping point with an AMAZING view of the Salish Sea (pictures dont do it justice).

Beautiful hike, but not room to social distance if people are not wearing masks.Not many persons wear a mask and it is not always possible to maintain 6 distance. Advise is to turn back towards those you pass, and/or do not talk (so no aeorosol spray comes from your mouth, or theirs if you do not wear a mask).

Fragrance lake is absolutely stunning. The 2 mile hike one way is worth it for the beautiful view of the lake, and if you go during the late spring early summer, there are days where you can catch the lake completely still and extremely reflective. There is also a lookout point between the start of the trailhead and the lake, and if you go during a half foggy day, the sunset is stunning there.

Good short distance hike (4miles RT) with enough switchbacks to get a modest workout. Perfect hike if you dont have a lot of time or wanted something not too strenuous. Fun secluded lake to jump in when you get to the top.

I love this place because it is so close to town and you have a choice to either branch off and overlook the sound or hike up and around fragrance lake. I went today for a quick walk up to the viewpoint with my dog and the wind was blowing the leaves around-absolutely lovely. I recommend this trail to anyone who doesnt have a lot of time and wants to escape to nature. The parking is limited so its not too busy on the actual trail despite being so close to town.

This trail in the Larabee National Park is amazing...it is a quiet hike that is not too difficult..saw people of all ages from young to old going up..but it is not packed with people Was amazed at the diversity of wild life. On the way up I saw rabbits, chipmunks, and even a humming bird. The detour to the viewpoint was also very nice

Nice curvy trail, not too steep, a couple great lookouts, occasional spots of breeze, and ends at a beautiful lake.

Oh my... This trail is amazing. Roughly 2-3 miles and steep. Its worth every step, though. If the day is bright, bring some swinging trunks and a towel. The lake is not glacial, so its actually reasonably warm (for a lake).

Looots of switch backs. Not for beginner hikers Id say. If you arent there at noon, at least half of the lake will be in shadows. Best time to be there when the sun is highest. Love to bring my dog and eat lunch on the benches.

Dont bring valuables in your car! There are signs everywhere warning of high theft rates. Bust out that old Honda and only bring stuff youll be carrying with you. Beautiful trail! Nice, short hike, with mutiple length options.

A nice trail with portions of moderate steep inclines. The trail is well maintained and shaded for most of it.1 mile in theres a junction where you can go 0.2 miles to an overlook to view the San Juans or continue 1.0 mile to fragrance lake. Once you are at the lake theres a 0.75 loop around the lake with multiple places to dip your toes in.A discover pass is required but you could purchase one on site. A day pass was $10 and a year pass was $30

There is a small lot at the trailhead, but can only fit about 6 cars. You need a discover pass to park here. You can pay cash/check at the lot for $10.When you go up from the lot, go to the right and the trail starts pretty soon after the main gravel trail. Hike is uphill to get to the lake. It’s a short moderate hike.

Great easy 3 mile round trip run up to look out point.

If you want to get a good nights sleep then don’t stay at this campgroundBeing next to railroad tracks you will regularly hear trains at night along with being near the roadThis is also a congested campground with little privacyOtherwise the facilities are nice with showers and running water
