What a quiet, beautiful sanctuary outside of LA! Its so peaceful. I went in the early spring so not a lot of flowers were in bloom but I will definitely go back when the lilac garden and the rose gardens are in bloom. Its also a great place to take the kiddies. Lots of room to run around and explore. Its also a romantic place for couples.
Love going to the gardens. Really reasonable entrance fee. And lots if walking trails. Ive seen deer there a few times, never gets old. Have a nice cafe. Generous with serving and selection is nice and fresh. They have a newer restaurant there that I havent been to yet.
Ive been twice now, two years in a row. There were a few things that were different the second time. But both times I visited I enjoyed the sights and the thousands of lights that went into the displays. My favorite was the underwater scene at the Short House. It was also fun to pick a creature to find. I never saw the owl I was looking for so I had to go around again! It doesnt take very long to walk through the Garden Dlights, but there is a gift shop and a coffee shop inside the grounds so you can linger if you want to. Try to pick a night that is clear or bundle up with waterproof outerwear. Dont bring umbrellas! Both nights I went it was sprinkling. It can be crowded so be patient, its worth the hassle.
Please dont set up the lights during covid or at least limit people. With lights being outside most will refuse to wear a mask.
It is a lovely place to spend a day, exploring all the gardens. There are parts that are uneven terrain so wear proper footwear.
We visited this place to see winter holidays lights - Garden Dlight. Very nicely decorated lighting. Worth spending couple of hours with family. Ticket is $5 for age 11 and up payble by card or cash. Onsite parking is $5 and theres an option to park free at nearby locations which is 2-3 minutes walk. They have a coffee shop as well.Definitely worth visiting at least once.
This place is awesome. The lights are so cute and creative and it is super family-friendly. I like that it is one simple loop so no one can get lost easily. I just wish it was bigger. I wanted even more amazing lights!!
The festival of lights is not happening in this year..
Beautifully designed and well-maintained, each display has different theme and style, very fun for children to find hiding animals on displays. Make sure you have $5 cash for parking.
3 stars for effort. The lights were nice but its not worth fighting the crowds and parking. The whole light show takes about 15 minutes to walk thru, if that. Good for kids, but if you dont have kids, I wouldnt suggest going.
Beautiful place, we go there every year, not too big to be overwhelming not too small either. With a $5 ticket price its hard to beat.
Not as good as in years gone by. Has sort of lost its magic.Crowds galore. Wall to wall people from time to time. Crammed into one area of the park instead of distributed through the entire park. Forced payment to enter. Parking is terrible even if you park at the park up the road. We use to go yearly but now we hardly go at all.
This is a beautiful and whimsical place to spend time with family and friends during the Christmas season!
Well made displays that play into both Christmas and botanical science and also easy to understand even for a 3 year old.
It was a nice place did, wow will visit there agn
Always fun to do the scavenger hunt along the trail.
Was the coolest thing everybody should see
What a great holiday experience!
This year was not as good as a few years back. Gone were some of my favorite, most dramatic displays. It still is beautiful but not the same. It is not a big display like Zoo Lights or the Lights of Christmas at Warm Beach but still it is nice to stroll through the gardens all lit up.It gets very crowded so you probably want to go early. They have an area where you can purchase snacks and beverages.Price is reasonable. Parking is same price which seems too much. You can park free just past the entrance heading east. Down the hill and on the right.
We visited on a whim after snowflake lane. Its a quick loop and somethings were creative, but as an adventure with smaller kids there wasnt enough to keep them from running through. It was nice and the free entry wasnt bad. Im not sure I would have gone if I had known you had to pay to park and it was pretty crowded.
25 years of seasons of lighting. betterget there before ends on Dec. 31.
Amazing holiday light show. I love the bright colors and the swan lake!
Amazing and wonderfully crafted lights.
All I can say is they tried. $15 For two people and parking and a very short light show. Parking not the easiest. Had never been and wanted to go. May i suggest pt defiance zoo lights...spectacular!
Crowded !!! I have been before and the displays were further apart for a better visual effect. The other walkways were blocked off with signs to keep the flow going in the same direction and I felt they crammed too much into a much smaller amount of space. It was better when people could spread out and take pictures w/o half of bellevue in the shot. Still quite pretty and clever !!!
Great and Compact place to see imaging lighting art all over garden.
Nice little park
Went during winter time, good place for a small walk (I went there at night time).I was not satisfied with the lighting and decorations but it was pretty good for a $5 ticket price.
Very cool. We came up here for a cheap date... Be advised that basically nobody takes public transit here and if you walk the road literally looks like a scene from a horror movie. We almost turned back before we saw the light up ahead on the hill. Other than that, just also know that its full of little kids and families. You will feel like an old person.
The poorest $5 Ive ever spent. Also another $5 for parking with rude staff.Go to the Snowflakes Lane after the show. Youll see more lights, a lot better.
A beautiful nice experience for a date or to take the family.Only added plus would be if they sold beverages/snacks.
Beautiful and whimsical
Beautiful lights .
Was alot smaller than previous years, but still enjoyable
It was pretty much the same type of Lights over and over... boring and not impressive...see better Lights on homes around town....very disappointing and they should be embarrassed for what they present as an attraction to the public....save your money and find something a different light show
Though a resident of bellevue for few.months now, this is my first visit! Loved the concept and the lights! Its going straight to my Christmas list of things to do every year.
Great loop around the park this year. New additions of lights shaped in animals
Such a delight to see this lighted up garden! Magical feels :)
Beautiful. But really short. Finding parking was hard
Excellent and visually very impressive. It was our first time.
Its ok
You got to check this out at some point. So worth it on an a nice night
Good time spent, one time visit, have been to much better lightings
Awesome place, fun and paid parking
Beautiful Festival of Lights, well kept grounds.
Very beautiful experience with family during holiday season
A beautiful site.
Fun, crowded, interesting. Wouldnt do it without a Groupon.
Very nice to show kids and beautiful light
The best place to visit with family during December at night
Jenny loved it and kept going around for at least three laps. It was the right size for a toddler to walk around.
Christmas lights
Biggest let down of all time
Not so good nothing special
Crowded and reeeeally short! It is like 5 minutes walk
Great Christmas light show
Wish there was much more
