Hands down my favorite escape rooms in the Portland are, and I have tried almost all of them. Great atmosphere,great energy. You can tell a lot of attention went into these rooms.What makes this place stand out is that each room has an actor which really adds a lot of ambience to what is going on.

The experience here is awesome. It was much better than expected. The puzzles were great, awesome props and most of our our guide that we worked with was full of personality and super friendly. Highly recommend this to anyone.

Actually very fun experience. Wasnt sure what to expect with this being the first time doing an escape room. Me and 3 friends were paired with 6 others. We were able to solve the room in about 45 minutes. Definitley worth doing for the brain teaser.

Lil J was awesome as our Captain. Nicole was great too. Great experience for people of all ages. Our daughter celebrated her 14th birthday with friends. We would definitely go again.

Went with the family (wife, kids 8 and 10). Did the Arcade room, it was super fun! We did not survive, but were very close. We all agreed it was cool. We are already planning a return trip to do a different room.

So far I have gone to here twice and both times I have had a great time! The first time I did the kidnap escape room and the this time I did the steampunk airship! The actors were super cool and nice and I highly recommend going here! I know I will definitely come back!

We had an absolute blast. Upon arrival, we received friendly and detailed instructions for the room. We requested that the host refrain from giving us any tips; the host honored our request. We escaped the room by the skin of our teeth. Deeply satisfied with the experience.

($30 x 10 people)There were only enough puzzles that it could be done fairly easily with 2-4 people.We had six and they added four strangers(10 total),With 10 people, the room was cramped and 2-3 people working on every puzzle at all times.There were not enough puzzles for 10 people.The staff was greatThe puzzles were mostly low difficulty with a few medium difficulty and zero hard.I dont recommend it unless you pay for the whole room ($300) and then only bring at MOST 6 people.

Very fun experience. We did the saloon robbery. There 8 of us from 7 to 60 and we all loved it. Great fun and Lexi was fabulous! Very friendly and fun...wrorh your time to try it!!

This was my third escape room with this company and it is always so much fun. Done the fortune teller and the kidnapped before and did arcade tonight. Cannot recommend them enough. Cant wait to come back and try donde of the others.

A group of us did the steampunk airship room. It had great puzzles. I liked that it wasnt as dark in all the rooms as others I have been in. The staff were great and helped the atmosphere. I helped with several of the puzzles in different rooms and enjoyed them all. My only complaint was 10 is to many people. I wish we could have just had it capped off with my group of 7 and not had a group of 3 join us. it would have allowed for each individual to participate in more puzzles.

My wife and I did the Fortune Teller experience and had a fantastic time! This was our first time, so I cant speak to the other escape-room scenarios they offer, but the Fortune Teller is a very good date or small-group experience (its in a small-ish space, so you wouldnt want a big group). Word of warning: the puzzles are seriously fun to work through, but they are not easy to solve.Thank you very much, Matt and Karl! This was really a lot of fun.

59:59!!! Truly a wonderful time in the arcade room. We solved it at the very last moment. The room attendant was amazing (I totally forgot to tip him... and forgot his name because I was laughing so hard at our ridiculous escape). You really do need to work together to solve these puzzles. Very creative. We will absolutely be back to do other rooms. Its clear that the bigger group you have the more fun the experience is. We went in with a group of strangers and were concerned that it wouldnt be as much fun... Im so glad it worked out like it did.

First time to one of these and I had a blast. The staff were nice and energetic, the puzzles reminded me of saw. Would definitely go back.

There is something about escape rooms that bring people closer in 60 minutes. My teammates and I chose this place for our team event. We started a little awkward and not knowing what to expect. But the two employees that were part of the room were super friendly and really into their roles! We managed to finish with 25 seconds left on the clock, so that was a ton of fun!

Visited to do the Steampunk Airship escape room as part of a group of seven. Matt and co-worker gave an awesome performance as the Captain and Lt. Scout, driving the narrative and providing assistance when needed; without a doubt the most fun and entertaining room Ive done to date. 5 out of 5, would do again!

The actors in Fortune Teller MADE the game! Generally dont like actors in the room but this was so fun and atmospheric- best use of actors Ive seen anywhere!

Phenomenal! Beyond expectations we tried our hand at the Fortune Teller and were not disappointed! The talented and magnificent Matt along with his masterful Karl gave a brilliant performance!!! Loved the whole experience will be coming back to do more rooms!!!

Our group did the steampunk airship and it was amazing. There were so many puzzles that the entire group was occupied. In fact, there was so much to do that there were puzzles people didnt know about until after we were done and discussing. The actors who played the captain and lieutenant nailed it and really sold the story and environment.

Lots of fun. The captain and lieutenant were great in character. They help if you need it.

My family of 6, 4 adults and 2 kids went yesterday. It was incredible! When we first looked at the room, I thought this should be easy. Not so much. It took a lot of team work, divide and conquer approach helped and plenty of, who put this together? We promptly agreed that we will be going back soon to conquer room two. This is an activity to immerse yourself in. Rushing or cheating would ruin the experience. If you are there to enjoy the challenge, you will not be disappointed!

We went to the fortune teller room with 8 people for my husbands 13th birthday. It was so much fun, the staff was great, and we broke the curse!

I did my first escape room at Portland Escape Rooms, I will definitely be going back to do more rooms. My friends and I had a great time in the Arcade room. The staff is very friendly and made it a fun experience. The room followed theme well and there were just enough clues to get us out of the room without making it too easy or too difficult. I cant wait to get another group together and try a different room!

The group I was with did the stream room escape room and had a blast. It was challenging and we unfortunately didnt complete it, we were a couple clues away but really enjoyed the live actors apart of it. Made the experience a lot more fun and entertaining!

The staff were friendly and welcoming. I felt 100% immersed as soon as I walked in the door. It was my first time and I had a lot of fun. My friends and I are already planning to book another room!

Lexie was really accommodating and was very validating. Gave us affirmations after completing our Arcade escape room. A fun place to be for an hour if you want to flex your puzzle mind muscle!

I went with my grandpa and mom to the kidnapped room today. We had a great time with the set up of the room and story line! Lexi helped us get checked into our room and got us hand cuffed in, the service from her was as pleasant as her personality! We got out with 4 seconds to spare!! Definitely go check it out!

Just did my first ever escape room here “The Voodoo” and it was a blast! We didn’t actually beat it but came close. The puzzles were excellent and the cast/actors were a lot of fun. Will definitely try these again! Thank you!

Amazing. We did the fortune teller room and this was my first escape room. My friend went and it was her 15th.Topped her list. It was very interactive and the actress was fun. The team mates we were paired with were also very fun!I dont think any other escape room could live up to this one!

Great time completing the Revolutionay War room! Great puzzles, kept us all occupied and working to the end!

9 of us did the Steampunk Airship room led by Captain Nicole and Lil J. Had a fantastic time! The room was deemed challenging but we seemed to have enough people to successfully divide and conquer. Both Nicole and Jessica stayed involved just enough to head us in the right direction yet let us figure out everything on our own. The storyline was fun, the props were great, puzzles challenging enough to not completely overwhelm. Will definitely be back for another room!

I came with a bunch of friends to try this for the first time. It was definitely hard to find, because it was in an office building area that had only a small sign and the ground. I showed up early, so it was no big deal. The person who met us and walked us through the process was helping and accommodating. Our friend group all had a great time working together through all of the riddles. Honestly, it was a lot more fun than I expected. Silly, ridiculous, nerdy, and I loved it all! It was really fun to try something new. I would definitely go back. We all did the American Revolution themed room.

My team did the Steampunk Airship yesterday for a team building event and it was a lot of fun!! The staff/actors were incredibly entertaining and made the experience very unique and enjoyable. I would definitely bring my team back here to try another room and would recommend this location highly!

Very accommodating fun and challenging. We had a mixed group for their arcade room and felt all 10 of us were fully engaged and the support from the staff was appellate for the level of difficulty. I would definitely return to Escape Portland for another event in the future.

The steampunk room was an amazing experience to share with my friends who love puzzle solving. Matt and Lil J did a great job hosting the room, and made us feel comfortable getting into the mindset. We plan on going again for certain.

I have to admit, I was skeptical of these type of experiences, and how they would be played out. But our escape room adventure was terrific! The puzzles were tough but doable, and the guides were friendly and informative. Our group had a great time.I highly recommend Portland Escape Rooms for any event, or just an afternoon outing.

The American Revolution was never so much fun! Our family group, all adults, had a great time puzzling out the clues to escape the British. There were several different styles of clues, so everyone had something they were good at. Great time! We will return.

I have experienced 3 rooms (Kidnapped, Amarrican Revolution, and Fortune Teller) and they have all been wonderful! Each theme is different and each room has a plethora of unique puzzles. These escape rooms are a great time with friends, I recommend any other the rooms mentioned for a invigorating experience.

I have been to four escape rooms now with Portland escape rooms and they are seriously so fun. I really enjoy the creative way they put puzzles together, and the little bit of story every time. This is an excellent way to enjoy your time with some friends.

Our daughter and her friends had so much fun in the saloon room. Our room guide Lexi was really funny and continually interacted with us in the theme. She made sure we had the appropriate clues when the puzzles got frustrating.

I would recommend Portland Escape Rooms. Our youth volleyball team did the arcade room as a team building activity. The girls had a great time. The staff is wonderful too.

Lil J and Matt put on a spectacular performances in the Steam Punk room. Creative puzzles, nice props, and a hectic pace made for a great experience. Well worth the money spent.

Had an amazing time doing my first escape room at Portland Escape Rooms, we ran through the Arcade room and will be going back for the others for sure.

My friends and I came down from Seattle for a birthday weekend, and the Steampunk room at Portland Escape Rooms was without a doubt the highlight of the trip.My friends and I have done a lot of escape rooms. Probably 20-30, maybe more. Not only was one of the best escape rooms weve ever seen, but Lexi and Nicole (the two women who ran our room) were some of the best facilitators/game masters in the business.They were witty, funny, and engaged with us while staying in character the whole time. Even when there was a minor malfunction (nothing important to the room), they not only rolled with it - but in character too! I was very impressed.Overall, Id rate this 6 stars out of 5 if I could. I would DEFINITELY recommend you go there, and if you do... we set the newest record, so good luck!

These guys are great. Rooms are fun. Simple enough to succeed if you think outside the box but still challenging enough for it to be a fun puzzle. The staff are great at staying in character and having fun with it also .Good times

Wow, we had so much fun! We split our large group into two different rooms; the American Revolution and the Arcade. Everyone loved it! Several people have asked if we can return to go through the other rooms. We will definitely be back!!

We had a large group and an escape room that didnt require we solve all the puzzles in a specific order so it worked out great. We all had a blast! Will definitely be going back.

Well managed and interesting. My first experience. Went with my son who has done these every month and believes this system to be second to none.

We did the American revolution escape room. Matt was a great host and helped us out when one of the locks gave us trouble. The puzzles were interesting and our group escaped with just under 3 minutes to spare. Knocking off a star because of the one lock that really needs to be upgraded. Great props and fun theme. We will definitely be back to try the other rooms.

We did the Steampunk themed airship and it was very well put together and the staff were helpful and polite.

Have done 3 rooms here now, in addition to many in Seattle, and have loved Portland Escape Rooms for their ambiance and immersion, along with great puzzles. Lexie in particular has been a wonderful game master and I would go back to be in one of her rooms any time!

My friends and I had a blast! I will definitely be going back. One of the props wouldnt work so we lost some time. But we still finished under an hour. I definitely reccomend giving it a try.

Got to do a test run of a new room, it was a blast! Finished with three minutes on the clock and was able to help them with a few suggestions. It was the saloon showdown but we also enjoyed the kidnapped one a while ago

Had a really fun time with a group of friends! Actually got to meet one of the actors for the escape room, I believe her name was Jessica, she was very professional! Her acting was unparalleled and actually made it kinda scary at times! 10/10 experience, I’ll definitely be going back next time I go to Portland!

The rooms at this place are imaginative. We have only experienced one of them directly, but it was clever, difficult but not frustrating. We were given one clue and managed to escape. In addition, they have excellent customer service. We had a problem that bothered me enough to call the next day, and they went above and beyond to make us happy. Highly recommend.

My friends and I have done a LOT of escape rooms, and Steampunk Airship is definitely at the top of my favorites list! The props & sets were AMAZING, the actors were incredible, the puzzles were challenging and rewarding, and there were so many of them! Ill definitely be going back to try another room next time Im in Portland!

We experienced the Arcade Escape Room for our 11 year old daughters birthday with five girls aged 10-11 and my husband and I. This was all of our first experience with an escape room. Portland Escape Room was perfect for this event. I cant remember the name of our staff person, but the girls talked all the way home about how awesome she was and how perfect she made the experience for them. They had the opportunity to really feel success, yet were forced to struggle as well. We were so close to breaking out. If we had helped just a little more a little earlier, our girls could have experienced that feeling of accomplishment, but the cool thing is that they were really proud of themselves even though they did not escape in time. It was a fabulous way to spend an afternoon birthday party! Thank you!!

This was my second escape room, first one was in New York City and this one was a lot tougher and more extreme. We did the kid napped room and wasn’t expecting to be cuffed to the wall, which was a surprise when we got there. We were the only ones for the day that ecasped and only barley. It was a tough but overall a fun room. I would recommend going to this place

My group has been to escape rooms from a couple different places, Portland is by far our favorite!! Super nice and helpful staff members, and we love the variety of puzzles in the rooms! Rooms are clean and beautifully decorated! We plan on booking more in the future!!

Awesome themes and well thought out puzzles to solve. Not too easy and not too hard. There is an in game mechanism for encoded hints for situations if you become totally stumped, but you dont have to use them if you are a puzzle room pro. The cast is very into their acting roles making it easy to imagine your actions and success are imperative to your goal. Super job Portland Escape Rooms!

The escape room was much more than we expected. I came with 3 coworkers as their Christmas Present and we had a blast. Unfortunately we didnt solve the mystery in time, we were a few minutes short, so only encourages us to try another.....thanks to all who helped!!

We did the zombie room and the staff was great! The one hour goes super fast when a zombie is chasing right after you. Lots of clues that you need to figure out some where easy some took time. Zombie likes when you sign to her! Great time, we will be back to do the Arcade one.

I would give 5 stars but unfortunately I arrived early just like I was supposed to only wait 20 minutes later then the appointed time and I had dinner reservations.. I finally saw somebody going into a room (walking right past me) coming from the outside and I went and I knocked on that room and she came out and said she needed to get her manager, the manager came and told me that the people in the group that were supposed to be playing with me and my boyfriend all canceled which I get that happens but somebody should have came out still and alerted me so we werent waiting we ended up playing by ourselves wish we could have got the full experience......

This was an utter blast for our group of 8! The steampunk airship experience was well designed and hosted. We got just the right amount of help and only at times when, for example, we had the right code, but the combination lock still didnt open. The puzzles were fun and interesting, and many of us found ourselves feeling satisfied with the experience for a full week afterward. It didnt hurt that we solved a 40% solution rate puzzle with 3.5 minutes to spare. Very fun!

Awesome experience! I have to say, I was a bit skeptical at first, but it was quality time with the family and another couple who was grouped with us and it went very well. The host did a great job and I think he was proud of our group since we completed it with 7 minutes to spare. Prior to us, there was only a 17% success rate for that room.

This place is awesome! We’ve been here on several date nights and with groups of friends. I love the challenges and how you get to test your wits and work together to solve the puzzles and (hopefully) make it out of the room!

Absolutely fun!! We did the steam punk one and it was great!! My imagination really started to kick in and enjoy / panic haha! Great actors and very fun adventure! I hope to do more in the future. The bigger the group the better by the way. You need all the help you can get all the keys.

I took my family here as a Christmas present, and it was great! The puzzles were well thought out, the decor was creative, and the hosts were enthusiastic. Also, a great idea for a low-carbon, family-bonding gift :)

We always have fun solving all the different rooms here. The actors do such a nice job of being in character and really adding to the experience.

I went to Portland Escape Rooms with a group of friends, the staff were friendly and did a great job. The room we did was Kidnapped! and we all had a BLAST. We didnt solve all the clues, but it was still a really fun time. I had never tried an escape room before, but I cant wait to go back! If youre thinking about trying it, DO IT!

Had a great time in the arcade room. The staff was funny and had a very relaxed vibe. The puzzles were definitely challenging but we solved it in 38 minutes. More people will make it easier to solve all the puzzles in time (you only get an hour). Would recommend to anyone curious about trying it, and I would definitely go back to try different rooms.

We went through the Kidnapped puzzle by ourselves and while it was a creepy atmosphere in a dark room, no one jumped out of a box or hid behind a door, which we thought would happen :)Check it out if youre interested in solving puzzles in a group of friends or strangers!

Took my daughter and 8 friends (all 14 years old) to Portland Escape Rooms for a birthday party in April 2017. They did the Steampunk Airship Escape. All the kids had a great time. Room was well decorated, interesting storyline, good acting on behalf of the two staff who were part of the story, challenging puzzles, and enough activities for everyone to be involved. One of the staff, who stayed in character the full time, stayed with us in the escape room to help us if we got stuck on any particular challenge. Definitely recommend Portland Escape Rooms and hope to go back for another adventure in the future!

Havent done it myself but my 15 year old son and his friends have had two great experiences here for birthday parties the past two years. He liked it so much last year, he wanted to do another room this year.

Excellent puzzles and production value. The kidnapped and zombie rooms may not be for all ages, but the rest are suitable for all ages. The puzzles vary to accommodate different strengths so everyone can contribute. Very well done.

What a great experience! Ive heard of these and like most others, told myself meh, this sounds....aight. But after having done the full experience I take that back and replace my thoughts of an Escape Room with Okay! That ended up being a REALLY FUN TIME!We started off a little slow b/c none of us had done one of these before. Oh yeah, we were doing this as a team building event for work. We got the arcade escape room. You get one hour to find clues, complete puzzles and try not to kill one another before solving and getting out ALIVE. Our host Matt was hilarious! Im pretty sure he was in character but he had us questioning it at first. So the puzzles are just hard enough to make you think but they are all solve-able. We were told that something like only 38% of groups can solve an escape room and surprisingly enough we DID IT! Okay, so if you check our pic that I posted in here youll see the time we got it completed...by the skin of our teeth! But hey, a win is a win!I would definitely do this again w/ a group of friends! Entered skeptical, left A HUGE FAN!
