Beautiful! I really enjoyed walking the trails and allowing my child to explore nature! It was fantastic, beautiful, and a great time. We enjoy the observation towers as well! 10/10 would recommend if you enjoy the outdoors!

Friday in August. Mid-afternoon. Warm wind brings a murmur, a rustle to the marsh and trees. Insect whirr crescendos, cascades, descends. We will be back.

Lovely place for a morning walk. Absolutely beautiful trail with not a ton of people walking it. Only ran into one school group all day. Lots of trail to walk, but shorter options for those with little time. Lots of mushrooms to see and tons of different kinds!

Good hiking trails walk your dog. Two tall observe towers. That look over the marsh. Might see deer . Parking lot right to the trails.

Nice trails and observation towers. The northernmost has a nice view of the marsh. We saw many downy woodpeckers and found several young brown snakes, about half a foot long, hidden in plain sight on the path.

Saw a bunch of deer along the back ridge during our midday walk.

Wonderful walking trails with some great photo opportunities. We have enjoyed walking the trails and would love to bring our bikes out here. This is a great area treasure.

Trails are well groomed, everything is marked to find your way around. Ive loved these trails since i was a kid. I did notice some docks in disrepair though.

Absolutely beautiful, but I would suggest making sure young ones use the bathroom before walking the long path because their are no port-a-potties anywhere.

Bay city state park is and always has been the best place to go for a walk and wind down. Always very clean with nicely groomed trails.

Nice, natural beauty but man made aspects not being maintained especially drainage. Water shouldnt be higher than the lake level...???

Love hiking this beautiful forest for the first time and we will be back! Found out that we spent a mile on black top that we didnt have to...ask at the visitors center how to avoid that part. Its the main part of the marsh area, so pick your path Bugs werent bad. Also will come back with our bikes.

Mosquito repellent needed! Theyll eat you alive out there, worst Ive ever seen... BUT, its a decent place to go to get away from the hustle of the city and you might see a deer! Go, take your bike on the trail and enjoy...

Always happy to take a day off here. The staff are really friendly. The park is clean. The water park is a riot for the young ones. A great place to take the family.

Nice three mile loop in the woods, with observation towers to overlook the marsh.

Great Walk a little over grown near end, but its worth it to see the bald eagles nest.

Really enjoyed our peaceful walk through the woods. Birds and chipmunks were plenty and active. Everyone we encountered were very friendly!

The first 1.5 mile, from either end, can get a little congested but a great trek of clean paved paths, well traveled dirt paths with viewing and resting areas scattered throughout. There are 2 tall viewing platforms to see over Tobico Marsh, after that is when it gets pretty deserted. Various birds swoop in on the tops of these platforms and land, I sat down with my head below the rail and it was very fun watching the little birds play on the hand rails. Saw a pair of Pileated woodpeckers getting their fill.

This is a great hike with two observation towers to view the marshes and the area. Bring binoculars to see the many bird species. Fall hike is beautiful. Its a registered National Natural landmark. A must hike location!

I love walking here. The big loop is 2.66 miles. So I walk it twice. Seeing so many birds, wild animals and friendly people too.

Scrap trees, nothing special, almost no wildlife, driveway is a real mess in the spring, deep ruts, pot holes, porty johns usually of of paper, visitors often leave garage in johns, dont waste your time if you live more than a couple miles away...

I enjoy walking aimless through the woods and this part of The Bay, with all its natute and beauty is even more. The trees are endless and the trail takes you to two different towers. The best part really is the offtrails that take you around water pathways and its definitely worth the see.

Great place to take a hike keep an eye open for deer hunters.

Was a little disappointed by the view from the towers, maybe better a different time of year.

Nature in its beautiful form. A must if traveling to bay city and want the feel of being up north.
